Background / History
Consortium Leader and Prisoner
Stark originally controlled the Star River Consortium. Before the Great Thousand World Council, he defended his fleet’s failure against Lin Feng: more than a hundred star-annihilation warships had been robbed without firing, but Stark insisted that Lin Feng’s ability to erase their gunfire demonstrated rule-level power 524.
After Lin Feng defeated Holy Light and forced the expeditionary fleet to surrender, Stark became a labor supervisor on ruined Earth. Wearing gray work clothes and carrying a holographic notepad, he directed captured mechs to unload reconstruction supplies alongside Blood Axe and Su Li 526.
Engineer of Lin Feng’s Expeditions
Stark subsequently served in Lin Feng’s fleet command, building new warships and incorporating captured materials into their armor, engines, and weapons. When the expedition discovered entire universes being drained in the Harvesters’ farm, he angrily rejected being treated as livestock and immediately began salvaging the enemy’s defensive equipment 536 543.
His technical investigations repeatedly exposed the machinery behind apparently supreme civilizations. He identified Pangu clones through genetic comparison, decoded the Star Universe Company’s theft of the Great Thousand Universe’s physical mass, and uncovered the Empire of Truth’s obligation to surrender ninety percent of its collected cosmic mass to higher powers 545 605 611.
Ark Project and Later Expeditions
While others celebrated victory over the Higher-Dimensional Council, Stark spent three days analyzing the Progenitor Program’s remains. His findings connected it to the ancient Pioneer Civilization and revealed that their universe was drifting toward the Great Annihilation Vortex, with possible destruction within a thousand years. Together with Qin Yuan, he explained the need to reach the Origin Continent’s World-Stabilizing Anchor 575.
Five years later, Stark presented the Ark Project’s Universe Engine and explained that ordinary resources could not power it: the engine required World Sea-level fuel. After Lin Feng and Qin Yuan obtained a giant kun’s Heart of the Realm Sea, Stark monitored the successful reversal of the universe’s drift 576 577.
He remained the expedition’s technical specialist through successive escapes into higher realities. His work included decoding Chief Adjudicator Zero’s account of the Apex Dimension and tracking the Creator’s surviving microwave transmission to a private military communications satellite in geosynchronous orbit 619 646.
Appearance
- Elderly mechanical appearance: Described as a “mechanical old man,” with mechanical legs, arms, hands, and a prosthetic eye 524 526 598.
- Expressive eye lights: His mechanical eyes flash red during alarms or anger and green during successful network intrusions 543 604 612.
- Expandable machinery: Hundreds of mechanical tentacles extend behind him during factory work; data cables emerge from his fingers and back for direct connections 581 604 612.
- Visible computational strain: Heavy processing can produce white smoke, leaking black machine oil, or flames from his mechanical eyes 575 595 620.
- Clothing: Wears gray work clothes while supervising Earth’s reconstruction; later passages also mention a breastplate 526 598.
Personality
Stark is a workaholic whose enthusiasm centers on engineering and technological discovery. He skips the three-day victory celebration to analyze the Progenitor Program, becomes ecstatic over unfamiliar source code, and is portrayed as almost drooling over the Mechanical Pontiff’s CPU 575 586 599.
He is outspoken, profane, and proud of his intelligence. His outrage at the Harvesters’ farm culminates in declaring that he is a genius, not a pig. That enthusiasm has a ruthless side: he extracts the Grand Elder’s memories by driving a probe through the captive’s eye socket 543 625.
Stark readily shows fear when instruments reveal an overwhelming threat, but continues operating under pressure. Half-frozen by the Quark Mass Lock, he still struggles with the control lever; during the Grid Universe’s shutdown, he races to establish an escape channel 600 609.

- Limit: His intrusion into a Purger’s causality-based firewall succeeds after Lin Feng freezes its self-destruct logic and causes the system to crash 612.
Fleet Operations
Stark controls propulsion, firing sequences, shields, and emergency maneuvers from the command room 542 549 582.
- Orders defensive formations and coordinated cannon fire 542 554.
- Overloads engines to follow Lin Feng through the Corridor of Ages and dimensional openings 549 558.
- Operates the Realm Sea Jump Engine and universe-mounted artillery 579 582.
- Manages the Chaos Fortress’s repeated million-cannon volleys, with a reported three-second engine-overload cooldown 588.
Technical Analysis and Signal Tracking
Stark interprets instrument readings to identify threats and explain why conventional defenses fail 551 554 611.
- Detects mass deficits, performs genetic comparisons, and identifies hostile materials such as quark-state armor 538 545 609.
- Distinguishes Concept Deprivation, Source Code Erasure, and dimensional reduction from ordinary physical damage 551 554 611.
- Traces a residual signal out of the collapsing Grid Universe and establishes a passage to the real world 600.
- Locates the Creator’s hidden bunker signal and subsequent satellite transmission 646.
- Limit: Some higher entities exceed his instruments’ capacity; the Source God of Order’s appearance destroys his analyzer 620.
Fleet and Weapons Development
These milestones document Stark’s engineering work rather than personal cultivation breakthroughs.
