Seiji fought Orochimaru, took Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan as his disciples, and negotiated the Uzumaki Clan’s evacuation to Kirigakure as the Great Shinobi War spread. The arc ended with Madara ambushing the retreating Hidden Mist forces and attacking Hyou.

• Seiji defeated Orochimaru’s forces, but Orochimaru escaped through Reverse Summoning, and Seiji later found Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan amid the devastation in the Land of Rain.
• Seiji raised new homes for the town’s civilians, accepted Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan as his disciples, and brought them to Kirigakure for training.
• Seiji and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist left for the Land of Bears while Hanzō attacked Konoha’s camp and killed Choza Akimichi, Shikaku Nara, and Inoichi Yamanaka.
• Kumogakure’s Third Raikage A attacked Uzushio Village, while Seiji met Ashina Uzumaki and warned him that Konoha might not come to the clan’s aid.
• Hatake Sakumo fought Imo and Minazuki, but Kakuzu intervened and forced Sakumo to retreat, and Hiruzen then assigned Sakumo to lead Konoha’s war against Sunagakure.
• Uzumaki Fire revealed that Danzō’s men had killed the clan’s messengers, and Ashina agreed to entrust the Uzumaki children to Seiji after learning his Otsutsuki identity and securing his promises.
• Ashina gave Seiji the Uzumaki children and their Sealing Technique inheritances, and Seiji returned to Hyou before departing with the children.
• Madara sent White Zetsu Clones to ambush the Hidden Mist retreat, and Hyou shielded his forces before facing Madara in combat.

Madara Uchiha nearly killed Seiji and Hyou, while Kumogakure destroyed Uzushio Village and Konoha’s campaign against Amegakure ended in a costly defeat. Seiji recovered and gained the trust of Kirigakure’s leaders, as Kaguya Kaze set out to oppose Musashi’s plans.

• Madara Uchiha defeated Yagura and fought Hyou, then drove Seiji into a desperate battle that ended with Seiji badly wounded and unconscious.
• Kumogakure broke through Uzushio Village’s defenses, and Ashina Uzumaki died holding Third Raikage A inside the Four Red Yang Formation as the Uzumaki Clan fell.
• Hiruzen Sarutobi disciplined Shimura Danzō for withholding Uzushio’s plea for aid, then planned an attack on Amegakure that Danzō secretly leaked to Hanzō.
• Black Zetsu and White Zetsu discovered Seiji’s record in Kirigakure, then Black Zetsu joined forces with Kaguya Musashi after naming Seiji as their common enemy.
• Seiji awoke, explained Madara’s attack and his Jōgan to Hyou and Genji, and agreed to become Mizukage after the war.
• Kana used Vitality Healing to restore Hyou, who took her as his disciple, while Seiji continued training Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan.
• Hanzō ambushed Konoha’s force in Amegakure, devastated its ranks, and spared Orochimaru, Jiraiya, and Tsunade, whom he named the Hidden Leaf’s Three Ninja.
• Hiruzen accepted Hanzō’s ceasefire terms, while Kaguya Kaze learned of Musashi’s coup plans and went to the Mizukage Tower to save his clan.

Seiji prepared Yagura to become the Three-Tails’ Jinchuriki, then led him and Hyou to the moon and uncovered the Moon Otsutsuki Clan’s plan to destroy the Ninja World. After receiving Otsutsuki Hamura’s power and agreeing to stop his descendants, Seiji entered the clan’s castle and faced its elders.

• Seiji’s ambush helped Hatake Sakumo defeat Imo and Minazuki, while Seiji later learned Sanzu Amado had developed chakra-powered radios for long-distance communication.
• Seiji found a hidden route to the moon and decided to investigate with Hyou, while Yagura volunteered to become the Three-Tails’ Jinchuriki.
• Seiji subdued the Three-Tails, and the sealing squad transferred it into Yagura before Seiji strengthened his own chakra by feeding its chakra to the Small Ten-Tails.
• Seiji brought Hyou and Yagura through the underground route to the moon, where they discovered a ruined settlement and were attacked by the Moon Otsutsuki Clan’s puppet forces.
• Seiji learned from Otsutsuki Hamura’s memories that the Branch Family planned to use the Giant Tenseigan to bring the moon crashing down on the Ninja World.
• Hamura explained the history of Kaguya, the Ten-Tails, and the Six Paths, then gave Seiji Tenseigan power that strengthened his Jōgan and Otsutsuki Bloodline.
• Seiji promised to stop the Moon Otsutsuki Clan while sparing its members if possible, then entered their castle with Hyou and Yagura and faced Otsutsuki Koshiki and the elders.

Seiji defeated the Moon Otsutsuki elders, gained Hamura’s support and awakened the Tenseigan before returning to Kirigakure with the survivors and the clan’s archives. As Seiji settled back into the Ninja World, Danzō plotted to use Kirigakure to seize Kira Uchiha’s Sharingan.

• Seiji defeated Heishiki with Ash Bone Annihilation, while Hyou and Yagura overcame Washiki and Koshiki, with Yagura becoming Isobu’s Perfect Jinchuriki.
• Seiji found the surviving Otsutsuki Tenshin and Otsutsuki Gara at Hamura Shrine, spared them, and connected to the Giant Tenseigan as Hamura lent him power.
• Hamura restored the moon’s battle damage and named Seiji the Otsutsuki Clan’s new head before falling into a deep sleep, and Seiji absorbed the Giant Tenseigan’s remaining power to awaken sky-blue Tenseigan.
• Kaguya Otsutsuki drew Seiji’s soul into her space, absorbed his chakra, then restored him and sent him back while speaking as if she expected him to come for her.
• Seiji moved the Space Tunnel to Training Ground 1 and returned to Kirigakure with Hyou, Yagura, Tenshin, Gara, and the Moon Otsutsuki Clan’s archives, while concealing his encounter with Kaguya from Genji and Ken.
• Hiruzen restored Danzō to his former positions and appointed him commander of the Sunagakure battlefield, and Danzō plotted with Kirigakure to ambush Kira Uchiha and take his Sharingan.
