Seiji survived Isshiki’s attempt to claim him as a vessel, but Genji died protecting him, and Isshiki’s Karma gave Seiji memories and knowledge that accelerated his evolution. After reaching Kirigakure and joining its Anbu, Seiji completed his first assassination mission with Yagura, Chino, and Feng.

• Seiji awakened Shikotsumyaku, and Genji trained him while Kaguya Musashi kept their family under guard.
• Jigen confronted Seiji, but Genji fought him with the Blood Burning Technique and died after helping Seiji escape Isshiki’s attack.
• Isshiki implanted Karma in Seiji, but Genji mortally wounded him with the Ash Bone Technique before dying, and Seiji later absorbed Isshiki’s memories and knowledge.
• Seiji traveled to Kirigakure, where Elder Genji recognized him as Yukiko’s grandson and welcomed him into the family.
• Seiji demonstrated his strength to Genji, joined the Anbu with Yagura, and took the code name Bone under Captain Fū.

Seiji rose to lead Kirigakure’s Anbu and helped shape a plan to secure the Uzumaki Clan’s sealing knowledge. As Hanzō launched attacks against the Land of Fire and the Land of Wind, the conflict grew into a new Great Shinobi War.

• Seiji received Genji’s scroll about the Kaguya and Hyuga bloodlines, then sparred with Chino and Yagura and shared his ambitions with them.
• After reaching Elite Jonin, Seiji became captain of the ANBU First Division, defeated Suikazan Fuguki and Murasaki in a test of his authority, and recruited new squad members.
• Madara Uchiha arranged for Nagato to receive his Rinnegan, while Seiji’s team observed Hanzō and Hiruzen’s battle and Seiji delivered a secret message to Kumogakure’s Fusheng Yi.
• Seiji concluded that Hyou wanted the Uzumaki Clan’s sealing techniques and proposed that Kirigakure negotiate with the clan while Kumogakure attacked separately.
• Genji refined Seiji’s plan and gained Hyou’s approval, as Hanzō expanded his control and provoked the great nations.
• Hanzō sent Rain Shinobi to seize border towns in the Lands of Fire and Wind, and Hiruzen ordered Konoha’s forces to respond.
• On September 22, news of Amegakure’s attacks spread across the shinobi world, beginning a new Great Shinobi War.

Seiji became captain of Kirigakure’s first Seven Ninja Swordsmen and led them into battle against the rampaging Three-Tails and Six-Tails. After the beasts were sealed, Seiji’s eyes changed and connected him to a space left by Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, a change he concealed from Hyou.

• Third Mizukage Hyou announced Kirigakure’s plans to attack the Land of Whirlpools and held an open selection for the Seven Ninja Swords.
• Seiji won Hiramekarei and the Shadow Guard captaincy, and Kirigakure formed its first Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.
• Hanzō launched a counteroffensive against Sunagakure, but Chiyo’s battle with him ended when poison and injuries forced him to withdraw.
• Hyou subdued the Three-Tails at Outpost 3 while Seiji and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen fought the Six-Tails at Outpost 6.
• The Six-Tails badly injured several swordsmen, but Seiji and Saito Kage paralyzed it, and Seiji severed one of its tails with Shikotsumyaku.
• Hyou and Harusame sealed the Three-Tails into its Jinchuriki, who died after asking them to care for his infant child, Utakata.
• Seiji fought the Six-Tails with Samehada until Hyou arrived and froze it, then Hyou and Spring Rain sealed it in a jar as its Jinchuriki died.
• Seiji’s eyes changed and connected him to the Daikokuten Space left by Ōtsutsuki Isshiki, and he hid the change from Hyou.

Seiji led Kirigakure’s forces through campaigns against Sunagakure and Hoshigakure while Yagura seized the star meteorite. During leave in the Land of Rain, Seiji intervened when Orochimaru’s team threatened Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, and the story ended with Orochimaru’s forces attacking him.

• Third Mizukage Hyou released Seiji and the injured Seven Ninja Swordsmen from duty, and Seiji discovered his chakra had grown, awakened the Jōgan, and gained access to Ōtsutsuki Isshiki’s dimensional abilities.
• Seiji found Ōtsutsuki Isshiki’s imprisoned Small Ten-Tails, absorbed some of its chakra, and promised to feed it an Ōtsutsuki while leaving its seal intact.
• Hyou sent Seiji and the Seven Ninja Swordsmen to support Hanzō against Sunagakure, while Madara Uchiha ordered White Zetsu to watch Kirigakure and the Land of Whirlpools.
• Seiji’s forces joined Hanzō’s assault, and Seiji defeated Third Kazekage Iron Sand without killing him as the Mist swordsmen fought Rasa and Ebizo.
• Yagura’s force destroyed Hoshigakure’s defenses, killed Black Star, and recovered the meteorite for Hyou.
• Chiyo and Hanzō signed the Rain-Sand Armistice Treaty, and Seiji sent word of the settlement and the planned attack on Konoha to Kirigakure and Kumogakure.
• While traveling through the war-ravaged Land of Rain, Seiji’s presence helped Yahiko and Konan escape with stolen food, and they later took in Nagato.
• Orochimaru’s team attacked Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato, but Seiji shielded them and blocked a Gekko Clan ninja’s sword as Nagato’s Rinnegan stirred, and Orochimaru then led an attack on Seiji.
