Masahiko established the Land of Whirlpools, trained Konoha’s young ninja, and helped Tobirama host the Joint Jonin Exams. After hearing the Great Toad Sage’s prophecy, Masahiko returned to Konoha and learned Tobirama’s health had worsened.

• Masahiko returned to the Uzumaki Clan, appointed Gensuke Daimyo and Iko Clan Head, and saw the Land of Whirlpools established.
• Masahiko met Kushina, reunited with Hashirama through Tobirama’s Impure World Reincarnation, and discussed who should become the Third Hokage.
• Masahiko trained Hiashi and Hizashi, prepared Tsunade, Jiraiya, and the Uzumaki contestants for the Joint Jonin Exams, and helped set the exam questions and matches.
• Might Duy defeated Hozuki Hangetsu, Tsunade beat an Aburame Chunin, and Jiraiya defeated Misa with Masahiko’s help.
• Masahiko followed Jiraiya to Mount Myōboku, where the Great Toad Sage foretold that Jiraiya’s disciple would become the Child of Prophecy and described Masahiko’s own future opponent.
• Masahiko returned to Konoha with Jiraiya and learned from Tobirama that his health had steadily worsened over the past two years.

Masahiko helped the Uzumaki Clan survive war, intervened in Konoha’s battles, and captured Black Zetsu while rescuing Yuna and Nagato. After his final fight with Madara, he emerged in a changed future where Minato was dead and the masked man had unleashed the Nine-Tails.

• Masahiko led the Uzumaki Clan through war against Kirigakure and Kumogakure, killed the Third Raikage, and helped defeat the invading forces.
• Masahiko served as Acting Hokage in Konoha, trained Nawaki, arranged a student exchange that brought Kushina to the Ninja Academy, and helped the Sannin end their battle with Hanzō.
• Masahiko found Yuna living with Nagato in the Land of Rain, captured Black Zetsu when it approached the child, and sealed it inside his own body.
• Masahiko brought Yuna and her family back to the Land of Whirlpools, then returned Madara’s Rinnegan and agreed to one final fight with him.
• Masahiko fought Madara near Konoha, then fled after the battle and hid in a cave while he strengthened the seal holding Black Zetsu.
• Masahiko emerged to find the battlefield transformed and learned that Minato had died sealing the Nine-Tails, Kagami had died in Sunagakure, and Hitomi had used the Eight Gates Released Formation against the Land of Water’s invasion.
• Hiruzen told Masahiko that a masked man had released the Nine-Tails during Kushina’s childbirth, and Masahiko concluded that Black Zetsu was behind the nightmares.

Masahiko rebuilt the Land of Whirlpools, took Nagato and Konan as disciples, and became entangled in Konoha’s growing ties between the Senju and Uchiha. After an Akatsuki plot to disrupt Nawaki and Mikoto’s marriage failed, Masahiko’s own Shadow Clone stole Kubikiribōchō, leaving Sakumo to confront him.

• After waking from a month-long coma, Masahiko found Konoha damaged by the Six Paths of Pain, then stopped their attack on the Land of Whirlpools and began expanding it into a Great Nation.
• Masahiko brought Nawaki to the Land of Whirlpools, trained him, and later accepted Nagato and Konan as disciples while searching the Land of Rain for Yahiko.
• Masahiko returned to Konoha, helped Tsunade propose medical ninjas for squads, and exchanged the Chidori series with Hiruzen for Konoha’s collected ninjutsu.
• After Nawaki and Mikoto chose each other, Masahiko helped the Senju and Uchiha settle the terms of their marriage and the names of their future children.
• Masahiko secretly established Taobao Shop beside Ichiraku Ramen, whose opening earned him Witness Points as Teuchi’s business drew crowds.
• Biwa Juzo infiltrated Konoha to sabotage Nawaki and Mikoto’s alliance, but Sakumo’s Anbu arrested him after Masahiko drugged him at Ichiraku Ramen.
• Masahiko followed Hozuki Hangetsu and the Land of Water envoys, but his Shadow Clone beat him to Kubikiribōchō and stole it, prompting Sakumo to confront him.

Masahiko expanded the Land of Whirlpools’ trade and trained his young disciples while guiding Orochimaru to Ryūchi Cave and taking Obito under his wing. After Gensuke died, Masahiko helped choose his successor and revealed the truth behind Kushina’s kidnapping, leaving her determined to bring Minato and the Nine-Tails back.

• Masahiko helped establish an Explosive Tag sea route to the Land of Earth, then took Kushina, Nagato, and Konan on missions in Konoha and Kusagakure.
• Masahiko accompanied Orochimaru to Ryūchi Cave, where the White Snake Sage agreed to train him in Sage Mode, and later relocated the Balance Clan to the Land of Whirlpools.
• Masahiko guided Obito through grueling carving exercises, gave him a carving, and watched as Kakashi became a Genin while Obito chose to remain at school with Rin.
• Masahiko watched Minato master the Flying Thunder God Technique, then led Kushina, Nagato, and Konan on a herb-gathering mission to Southern Red State Island.
• Masahiko and the children gathered dangerous herbs and Swamp Mud, fought and killed Ancestor Salamander, and returned to Konoha with their supplies.
• Masahiko hurried back to the Land of Whirlpools when Gensuke became critically ill, but Gensuke died soon after seeing him.
• Masahiko presided over Gensuke’s funeral and agreed that Jinsuke should become the next feudal lord.
• Masahiko encouraged Kushina to pursue her happiness and revealed that Hiruzen and Danzo had arranged her kidnapping so she could become the next Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, prompting her to resolve to bring Minato and the Nine-Tails back.
