Masahiko trained Naruto, uncovered Tianzi’s plot, and prepared the shinobi nations for Dark Akatsuki’s attack. As the allied forces fought the reincarnated dead, Masahiko left the Land of Whirlpools to stop Orochimaru while Tianzi’s resurrected warriors converged on Kushina and Naruto.

• Masahiko admitted responsibility for Yahiko’s parents’ deaths and left with Naruto and Mabui for Turtle Island.
• Masahiko helped Naruto confront the Nine-Tails, freed Black Zetsu, and discovered that Teuchi was aiding Tianzi’s plan to extract the One-Tail from Gaara.
• Masahiko revived Gaara at the cost of his ocular power, then returned to Turtle Island as Naruto and the Nine-Tails began to cooperate.
• Masahiko warned Obito that Dark Akatsuki controlled a hundred thousand White Zetsu and could use Impure World Reincarnation, then built an underground laboratory in the Land of Whirlpools.
• Masahiko and the allied villages fought the White Zetsu and reincarnated shinobi, while he sealed several powerful opponents and sent reinforcements to the other nations.
• Masahiko arranged shelter for civilians and prepared to leave the Land of Whirlpools when Chiri began to be pulled away by Impure World Reincarnation.
• Masahiko traced the technique to the Land of Snow, took Chiri’s cell scroll from Orochimaru, and attacked him as Tianzi brought sixteen resurrected warriors toward the Land of Whirlpools.

Masahiko helped end the war, but Teuchi’s death and Orochimaru’s final scheme led to Kaguya’s revival and a new transformation for Masahiko. After restoring Kushina and reuniting with Chiri, he learned of the Ōtsutsuki Clan’s plans and prepared for Momoshiki’s possible arrival.

• Masahiko stopped Tianzi’s forces, then learned Teuchi was his Shadow Clone and that the Sage of Six Paths intended to take Naruto and Sasuke’s Chakra.
• Hagoromo took the Nine-Tails from Naruto, but Tianzi’s body collapsed and Kaguya revived after Teuchi persuaded Masahiko not to stop her.
• Orochimaru took control of Kaguya’s body, fought Masahiko across her dimensions, and unleashed an expanding Truth-Seeking Ball that left Kushina dying and Naruto unconscious.
• Masahiko spent his Witness Points, evolved beyond the Attribute Panel, and later found Orochimaru dead after Kaguya cast Infinite Tsukuyomi.
• Masahiko stabilized the Afterlife, resurrected Kushina and Chiri, and reunited Kushina with Minato and Naruto.
• Masahiko took Chiri to Sky Island and then Konoha, where they discussed the Uchiha and Senju clans and Chiri adjusted to the changed world.
• Masahiko brought Toneri, Hinata, and Hanabi to Kaguya, who explained the Tenseigan and revealed the Ōtsutsuki Clan’s pursuit of Chakra Fruits.
• Kaguya warned that Momoshiki could reach her dimensions, so Masahiko made a passage for her escape and headed back toward Konoha.
