On an empty, desolate plateau on Planet Selma, the ground was covered in weathered, cracked rocks. Not far away, a little girl who looked to be only six or seven years old was training her punches and kicks, drenched in sweat.
At the summit of a mountain on the plateau, a small figure hovered three meters above the ground, while the loose pebbles nearby rose and fell in a rhythmic pattern.
Crack—
Suddenly, the air pressure at the summit jolted violently. The intensely vibrating air squeezed against itself, emitting a series of "squeaking" sounds. The rocks trembled, and fine fissures began to spread across their surfaces.
"Boom!" The rocks suddenly exploded, disintegrating into a cloud of dust. In the spot where the rocks had been, a terrifying dark red crack suddenly appeared. The fissure was gloomy and frigid, flickering with cold electric arcs, resembling the gaping maw of a wild beast.
It seemed as if it would swallow everything.
That crack was a tear in space, filled with thunderous energy capable of destroying all things.
"Disperse!" With a soft shout, the terrifying crack in mid-air shuddered a few times before disappearing with great reluctance. Chaya frowned as he looked at the spot where the fissure had vanished. He tried to channel the energy within his body, and suddenly, a hazy, pale golden light rose from him. An overwhelming aura whipped up a whirlwind, blowing away all the surrounding dust.
"Beep, beep, beep," an electronic sound rang out, and a string of data appeared before his eyes.
"Battle Power: 2530!"
A battle power of over two thousand five hundred—comparable to an average adult Mid-Class Warrior!
Chaya's lips curled up slightly as he let out a long, heavy breath. After years of relentless effort and enduring countless hardships, his battle power was now more than five times what it had been when he first arrived on Planet Selma. However, his most terrifying asset was not his battle power, but those two mysterious superpowers.
Through long-term development, Chaya had mastered the use of his spatial superpower. Building upon "Instant Transmission," he had developed a new technique—Space Slash!
It was a terrifying move that caught opponents off guard, with a utility comparable to "Time Freeze."
Turning off his Scouter, he looked out at the vast, empty plateau. This place was located on the edge of the Gobi Desert in western Selma. Yellowish gravel covered the land, and as the wind blew, it whipped up clouds of sand. A sense of heroic pride, as vast as the dome of the sky, welled up in his heart.
"I've been on Planet Selma for over three years now. It's time to leave."
With a thought, Chaya vanished abruptly from the mountain peak.
On the flat plateau, Selyne was still throwing punches and kicks. The overflowing Ki clashed and compressed, causing the atmosphere to hiss. Beads of sweat as large as peas rolled down her hair, turning into wisps of steam as they hit the ground. Her beautiful hair danced in the wind, tied into a ponytail with a ribbon, with a few strands stuck to her small face by sweat.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
Massive waves of Ki surged and rolled, causing the ground to tremble with Selyne at the center. The air pressure at the core dropped lower and lower, and vast amounts of dust swept up like a sandstorm. As the speed of Selyne's movements increased, a series of muffled sonic booms echoed one after another, turning the area within a hundred meters into a boiling cauldron.
Boom!!
A figure appeared high in the atmosphere and then fell freely. The person reached out a palm, and in an instant, the entire storm was suddenly dispersed.
The fierce gale vanished, and the sand and stones dancing in the sky were pulled down by gravity, settling back to the ground.
Chaya landed on one foot and walked toward Selyne.
"Brother!" Selyne called out, looking displeased. Clearly, she was unhappy that Chaya had interrupted her training.
Chaya smiled, unbothered, and brushed the dust off his clothes. "Alright, don't be angry. I came over to tell you that we are leaving this planet."
Selyne's expression softened immediately upon hearing this, and she asked, "Chaya, have you mastered your superpower? We don't need to take a spaceship?"
Selyne's mind had matured; she knew they had to hold enough trump cards and could not fully trust King Vegeta or Frieza. The only way to hide from King Vegeta was to conceal their battle power, which required them to travel to the distant Earth.
Chaya nodded and said seriously, "Yes. If I use my superpower at full strength while carrying you, we should be able to reach Earth very quickly!"
"When are we leaving?"
"As soon as we secure our flight pods, we can go at any time."
Selyne nodded, then tapped her toes and soared into the air, flying toward the valley where they lived.
Chaya followed behind, watching the little girl's decisive demeanor. He stood there and sighed, shaking his head. "Little Selyne has grown up; she's not clingy anymore. Why isn't she as cute as she was when she was little!"
Logically, he always went along with her wishes, so she should be even more attached to him. Why had she become so independent? Was it his upbringing that had skewed her, or was the Saiyan's naturally independent personality just becoming more prominent?
Returning to the small valley where they had lived for three years, they confirmed that both flight pods were properly stowed. Chaya then found a massive boulder to block the entrance.
After finishing this, Chaya took Selyne's small hand and said, "Hold onto me tight. I'm going to activate 'Instant Transmission'."
Selyne replied, stepping forward to hug Chaya and burying her head in his chest.
Chaya wrapped his arms around Selyne's waist, placed two fingers of his other hand against his forehead, and turned exceptionally serious. With a thought, a strange ripple immediately enveloped them both.
With a brief flash of light, the two vanished from the distant, quiet valley.
In the vast universe, the Milky Way flowed like light gauze from the northeast to the southwest. The stars were brilliant and crystalline, twinkling in the night sky with the radiance of diamonds.
Earth, a blue planet in the southern part of the North Galaxy.
Earth was a low-level planet, ignored by every race because the humans there were "trash" with battle powers of only a dozen, even when holding firearms. Yet, on this inconspicuous planet, the most profound martial arts existed.
At this moment, in a hilly region of the Northern Hemisphere, a brilliant radiance flickered in mid-air like a star.
After the light faded, two figures suddenly appeared in the sky, only to fall straight down, caught off guard.
"Wow!" Chaya landed on the ground, collapsing onto his back, opening his mouth to greedily breathe in the Ki in the air.
"Sigh, I miscalculated. I almost lost my way in space. I can't be this reckless again."
Chaya felt annoyed. Although he had found Earth's coordinates from the flight pod, he had underestimated the difficulty of interstellar travel. If not for luck, they would have been lost in the universe. Along the way, Chaya had stopped at several planets to transfer, finally reaching their destination.
This large-scale Instant Transmission was incredibly draining. Even though he had traveled from planet to planet, the entire process had nearly exhausted all his energy. He had almost failed before he had even begun.
"Brother Chaya, you really should think twice before using Instant Transmission in the future."
Selyne murmured, then began to observe her surroundings, her delicate brows knitting together. "Is this the Earth you mentioned, Brother Chaya? The gravity is only one-tenth that of Planet Vegeta; it doesn't even compare to Planet Selma. Are there really miraculous martial arts training methods here?"
After resting for a moment to recover his strength, Chaya stood up and replied, "Don't underestimate Earth. Although it is merely a low-level planet, the martial arts philosophy here is anything but simple. If we can fully master it, let alone King Vegeta, even Frieza could be wiped out with the flip of a hand!"
Selyne's starry eyes flickered; she had never seen her Brother Chaya hold a planet in such high regard.
"It seems this planet truly has some redeeming qualities after all!"
Chaya scanned the area and said, "Let's find a place with people first to change into some proper attire, then we can look for a place to train."
