Chi-Chi and Piccolo's Doubts

As Son Goku and Yamcha chatted with the others, a jet aircraft landed in the broad plaza. The fierce wind made everyone squint. Vegeta's family had arrived. After Vegeta jumped down from the aircraft, Tights and Trunks followed.

"Goten, I came to play with you!" Little Trunks shouted as he ran over, then began gesturing and comparing moves with Son Goten off to the side.

"Vegeta, you're late."

"Hmph, Kakarot, keep your eyes wide open this time. My son, Vegeta's son, will be stronger than yours." Vegeta crossed his arms, haughtily turned his head aside, and impatiently drummed his fingers.

Son Goku smiled. "Why bother? After the tournament is over, let's go to Red Mountain Star together. There are plenty of strong fighters there."

At the mention of Red Mountain Star, Vegeta turned serious as well. The corners of his mouth rose slightly as he said confidently, "So eager to fight me? I'm looking forward to seeing you lose at my hands!"

"Hey, why can't it be you losing to me?"

"Don't dream. Do you think I spent these seven years doing nothing? Just because you went farther than me before doesn't mean you can still surpass me now. I'm not the same as I was." His words brimmed with confidence. Son Goku had always been one step ahead of Vegeta. During the Cell Games seven years ago, Vegeta had been a Super Saiyan Full Power, while Son Goku had been a Super Saiyan 2. But to assume that meant Son Goku would always remain ahead was far too absolute. Vegeta would never acknowledge it.

"Then I'm really looking forward to it."

Son Goku looked at Vegeta with a very serious expression.

Seeing the fighting spirit blazing in their eyes, Krillin and the others could not help but smile wryly.
