Just as Chi-Chi and Piccolo were discussing Kusu's identity, inside the Martial Arts Arena, a young man dressed in dark-blue Supreme Kai robes opened his eyes in confusion.

"Supreme Kai, what's wrong?" his attendant Kibito asked with concern.

East Supreme Kai shook his head. "Nothing. I just sensed a mysterious fluctuation."

"A mysterious fluctuation? Could Majin Buu have awakened?" Kibito grew tense. Though he had never seen Majin Buu with his own eyes, having spent years at the Supreme Kai's side, he had absorbed the same fear of Majin Buu as his master. East Supreme Kai shook his head. "Probably not. That fluctuation was exceedingly profound; it didn't resemble Majin Buu's evil aura. Forget these minor matters for now. Majin Buu is what matters."

"If I had known, I never should have left the egg sealing Majin Buu on Earth." East Supreme Kai felt faintly regretful.
