Martial Arts Tournament

The next day, Red Mountain Star welcomed a new dawn.

Above Kaime Forest in the Western Hemisphere, an enormous martial arts arena over ten thousand meters long and wide had been constructed. At the center of this colossal venue stood a gigantic ring measuring more than two thousand meters on each side.

Tiered spectator stands sloped upward in all four directions, capable of holding over a hundred thousand viewers at once. Each stand was shielded with transparent special materials that neither obstructed the audience's view nor allowed them to be affected by the storms generated by the battles below. Suspended directly above the arena were four three-dimensional display screens that could capture and broadcast every aspect of the fights.

This martial arts venue had been completed in merely six or seven days. Chaya could not help marveling at the advanced technology of the Fidayans.

This tournament was broadly similar to Earth's World Martial Arts Tournament, with four stages: preliminaries, selection rounds, advancement rounds, and finals.

During the preliminaries, the massive two-thousand-meter ring would be divided into four hundred smaller rings, each one hundred meters square. All contestants would fight in their assigned rings according to the drawing order, ultimately determining the strongest four hundred competitors. Then came the selection rounds, which would narrow those four hundred down to twenty-five powerful fighters.

Those twenty-five fighters would continue into the advancement rounds.

Together with Selyne, Myers, and Android 18, they would make up twenty-eight participants. After several more advancement rounds, seven fighters would emerge to enter the finals.

Those seven, along with Chaya, would proceed to the final top-eight tournament.
