"Has Rainbow Dragon recovered? If it has, hurry up and summon it so we can see."
As soon as dawn broke, Satoru Gojo shoved open the door to Suguru Geto's room.
A flying pillow greeted Satoru Gojo.
"Satoru, knock before entering someone else's room."
"Haha, we're both guys. Don't be shy."
The pillow was stopped by Limitless and returned without accomplishing anything.
"It's basic manners."
Taking the pillow and putting it back on the bed, Suguru Geto got up.
"Mm, although Satoru won when it came to faces, Geto had the better physique."
Eiji, who had followed Satoru Gojo in, commented.
Satoru Gojo was tall and lean, with evenly toned muscles, but Suguru Geto was more burly.
Of course, neither of them compared to Toji Fushiguro. Even men could barely keep themselves under control after seeing that physique.
"Is there something wrong with your eyes? Obviously, I'm better."
"No, no, look carefully. Your abs are about even, but Geto's pecs and back muscles are clearly bigger."
Eiji immediately pointed at Suguru Geto.
"We're not girls. Bigger doesn't help."
Suguru Geto raised a hand, and a Turtle-like Cursed Spirit appeared before him. A massive column of water directly blasted the two of them out of the room.
The world became quiet.
Now completely awake, Suguru Geto grabbed his clothes and entered the bathroom to wash up and change.
Before long, the freshly dressed group gathered together again.
"Slurp."
Suguru Geto sucked a mouthful of soba noodles into his mouth.
Eiji had chosen a bowl of ramen for breakfast.
Satoru Gojo had high-sugar bread and soda.
Aside from Satoru Gojo's custom-made bread, Suguru Geto and Eiji's noodles had been bought from a Convenience Store in town.
For the past few days, the three of them had not been staying at a hotel, but in a Two-story Wooden House specifically meant for hosting travelers.
There were many such buildings by the seaside. When summer came, the owners opened them to receive tourists, while in winter, they locked the doors and went home to pursue other work.
Because Rainbow Dragon had appeared recently, the nearby beaches had been temporarily closed. The public explanation was that dangerous fish had passed through, so operations would be suspended for a few days.
The locals had been mentally prepared for this. The closure order had moved south from the north, and several places before them had already suspended business. Without exception, though, the restrictions were lifted after a few days.
They even had the leisure to speculate about what kind of fish could swim this close to shore and make the higher-ups take it so seriously.
Suguru Geto had already submitted the completed mission report last night. Once the Jujutsu World's people came to confirm it today, everything would return to normal.
"Oh, this is pretty good. It looks cool."
After Rainbow Dragon was released, Satoru Gojo took one huge leap and landed on its head.
"So cold."
Satoru Gojo reached out to touch Rainbow Dragon's scales. They were icy cold and smooth beneath his hand.
When he tapped them with a finger, they gave off a sound like iron and stone.
"Geto, hurry up and make it fly."
After touching it, Satoru Gojo grabbed Rainbow Dragon's two horns with both hands and mimicked the posture of riding a motorcycle.
Rainbow Dragon snorted heavily through its nostrils.
Ever since that little thing had jumped onto its head, Rainbow Dragon had wanted to take a bite out of him. Now it wanted to even more.
But it couldn't. Its master would not allow it.
"Satoru, it's just a dragon. Don't get too excited."
Suguru Geto said helplessly from the side.
Keep pretending. Who was it that secretly summoned Rainbow Dragon last night and struck all sorts of poses?
Eiji's Divine Dog: Black liked going out for walks at night, and due to Assassin's Chess Piece, it was exceptionally stealthy. While Little Black had been wandering around last night, it happened to catch Suguru Geto losing his mind.
Not understanding what was happening, Little Black had chosen to ask Eiji.
Then Eiji had told Little Black to carry a camera and film all of Suguru Geto's antics.
Dragon God Prince, White Dragon Emperor...
It seemed that even Suguru Geto, with all his lofty ideals and righteous talk, could not escape eighth-grader syndrome.
This could not be settled without a hotpot meal.
"Eiji, do you want to try too?"
Suguru Geto looked at Eiji with a gentle smile and an utterly benevolent expression.
Showing off. He's definitely showing off, isn't he?
"Yes."
Eiji agreed without the slightest hesitation.
The poker face forged through his college years, when he and his roommates had constantly tricked one another, appeared on his face.
Seeing that Eiji showed no excitement, Suguru Geto was a little disappointed.
If Eiji had acted excited, he could have taken the opportunity to tease him.
Was Eiji not excited?
No, Eiji was excited. Extremely excited.
That was a dragon. Perhaps on the Island Nation, dragons were merely sacred beings, gods possessed of immense strength.
But in Eiji's understanding, dragons were totems. The words "descendants of the dragon" said it all.
Eiji was even considering whether he could make a dragon himself.
The main body could use Great Serpent, while the horns could use Round Deer's; there were ox ears too, Piercing Bull's would do; the eagle claws could use Nue's, and as for owl... its name had eagle in it, so it counted as an eagle; there was no lion nose, but a tiger nose should work too—lion and tiger, tiger and lion; there were rabbit eyes too, Rabbit Escape, though he would need to solve Rabbit Escape's fusion problem. For some reason, that thing always failed to fuse; the camel head would be troublesome. Should he use Jade Dog's?
As he thought, Eiji's gaze turned toward Little Black.
Little Black instantly felt a chill run down his spine. It raised its head and looked left and right, then lay back down for a nap after finding no danger.
A mane, a mane.
The Ten Shadows Technique did not have a horse.
Eiji looked at Little Black again.
After evolving, Little Black's fur was quite fluffy. It should be fine for making a mane, right?
Just as it was about to fall asleep, Little Black shuddered all over and got up to find another place to sleep.
That spot would not do. There was always an eerie draft.
Soon, it was Eiji's turn to ride the dragon, and Suguru Geto directly dragged Satoru Gojo down.
Suguru Geto hauled the shouting Satoru Gojo, who kept yelling that he wanted more, off the dragon. Eiji immediately jumped up without hesitation.
"Want to take some pictures?"
After circling through the air atop Rainbow Dragon a few times, Eiji jumped down, thoroughly satisfied.
"A camera can't capture Cursed Spirits."
Suguru Geto reminded him from the side.
"It's fine. Mine can."
As he spoke, Little White came before them carrying a travel bag in its mouth.
After patting Little White's head, Eiji took a black camera from the bag.
Click.
"Look."
After taking a picture, Eiji handed the camera to Suguru Geto.
"Huh, it really captured it."
"This lens was made by the Lab. It's basically portable experimental equipment."
Normal cameras and observation devices could not detect Cursed Spirits, which had caused the professors in the Lab considerable trouble.
Later, they simply decided to first solve the problem of observing Cursed Spirits. After securing the Cursed Spirits, everyone began researching the eyes Eiji had given them.
The glasses that could see Cursed Spirits were, strictly speaking, a low-grade cursed tool. Once those Old Professors figured out how to make the lenses, they produced a batch of special camera lenses to assist with experiments.
When Eiji learned about it, he had asked for a few as well.
"Come on, strike a pose. One, two, three, cheese."
In the picture, Suguru Geto had one hand in his pocket, his loosened hair drifting in the wind. With a melancholy gaze, he looked up at the sky at a forty-five-degree angle. Beside him was Rainbow Dragon, spiraling upward from behind him, passing over Suguru Geto's head before looping down and stopping its head beside Suguru Geto's hand.
Damn, that looked cool.
"Ooh, this is interesting."
Satoru Gojo, sensing something fun, leaned closer to Eiji.
"Geto, make your expression fiercer. Rainbow Dragon, move back a little."
Click. A picture was frozen in place: Suguru Geto wore a sinister expression while Rainbow Dragon rose behind him.
"Again, again. This time, take mine."
Satoru Gojo stuffed the camera into Eiji's hands, then squeezed Suguru Geto aside.
"Hey, Eiji, summon Qiongqi too."
Eiji understood.
Qiongqi emerged from the shadows in confusion and looked at Eiji with a face full of question marks.
Click.
Its adorable tiger-headed, tiger-brained appearance made Eiji unable to resist pressing the shutter.
Then Qiongqi stood behind Suguru Geto, while Rainbow Dragon drifted behind Satoru Gojo. A picture was taken of the two standing face-to-face, with the dragon and tiger gazing at each other in the air.
It was as though they had opened the door to a new world. Shikigami and Cursed Spirits were summoned one after another, and the three of them became more and more enthusiastic with their photos.
Later, when they truly could not find suitable Cursed Spirits, Suguru Geto directly summoned the Special Grade Demon Cursed Spirit and had him transform on the spot.
That shape-shifting Demon service made them even more hyped.
When the Assistant Supervisor from Jujutsu Headquarters came to verify Rainbow Dragon's situation, what he saw was a trio with vicious expressions, surrounded by countless terrifying Cursed Spirits as though they had emerged from hell.
Mom, I want to go home.
With his legs trembling, the Assistant Supervisor thought tearfully.
