Background
Suguru Geto was born to an ordinary family with no connection to the Jujutsu World. As a child, he independently investigated haunted locations and fought Cursed Spirits without understanding their nature or the wider sorcerer society. Naobito Zenin recognized his potential, explained Cursed Spirits to him, and offered to take him as a disciple. 43 487
During middle school, Geto became Eiji's classmate and invited him into his music club. The two began taking curse-exorcism commissions together. Eiji often handled reconnaissance himself to spare Geto from swallowing unnecessary Cursed Spirit Jades, whose taste Geto compared to a rag used to wipe vomit. 8
Eiji's involvement changed Geto's development considerably: rather than slowly building his strength alone, Geto received a Grade 3 Cursed Spirit early and learned about the Jujutsu World through Eiji and Gojo. He initially preferred the idea of silently protecting humanity outside the formal system. 43
Geto later entered Tokyo Jujutsu High alongside Gojo, Eiji, Artoria, and Shoko Ieiri. His ability to casually summon Special Grade Cursed Spirits immediately set him apart from ordinary students. 53 56
Appearance
Geto is a tall, physically conditioned man with an approachable smile that conceals subtle shifts in expression. His voice is gentle and faintly seductive, and his appearance has been described as handsome enough to bewitch others. 186 239 409
- Often keeps his eyes narrowed, making his thoughts difficult for most people to read. 409
- Wears a kasaya during the Kyoto conflict. 464
- Maintains strong close-combat conditioning despite specializing in summoning. 58 241
- His presence carries a distinctive fragrance noted by Eiji after he became the Star Religious Cult's leader. 243
Personality
Geto is normally calm, composed, and observant. He rarely reacts outwardly to Gojo's teasing, and even Kenjaku notes that few people can read his subtle expressions. 53 409
He is deeply protective of those he considers his own. He worries about Eiji during dangerous operations, wants to shield Haibara from harm, and becomes a patient, nurturing guardian to Nanako and Mimiko. 8 119 208
His compassion is tempered by a severe view of cruelty and weakness. Seeing Nanako and Mimiko imprisoned and abused by villagers profoundly shook his beliefs about sorcerers and non-sorcerers. Although he did not massacre the village, the incident pushed him toward a more extreme worldview that he later tried to reconcile with coexistence. 200 243
Geto also has a competitive, stress-relieving side. He enjoys close combat, becomes carried away when venting through battle, and is notably fascinated by insects and Bug Cursed Spirits. 33 58 59
Abilities & Skills
Cursed Spirit Manipulation
Geto converts defeated Cursed Spirits into Cursed Spirit Jades by using his technique, swallowing them to gain permanent control. His technique gives him access to a vast internal storage space from which he can summon Cursed Spirits instantly. 24 410
- Commands individual Cursed Spirits with enough precision to coordinate complex attacks and defensive maneuvers. 58 410
- Can deploy hundreds or thousands of spirits simultaneously; nearly 20,000 were released at Sendai. 112 169
- Uses lesser spirits as shields, cushions, scouts, transport, and support units. 8 53 58 186
- Absorbing a jade causes severe nausea due to its vile taste; honey tea helps alleviate the discomfort. 8 44
- His Cursed Spirit space can contain long-range specialists capable of attacking targets kilometers away or damaging domains from outside. 368 409
Special Grade Cursed Spirits
Geto's collection includes multiple Special Grade Cursed Spirits accumulated through missions and major conflicts.
- Demon Cursed Spirit — His first documented Special Grade capture; capable of mimicking Eiji's appearance, aura, and attack patterns. 24
- Rainbow Dragon — A durable flying spirit used for defense, aerial transport, and direct combat. 56 468
- Bone Woman — A highly defensive spirit that creates bone armor, walls, spikes, and spears. 98 186
- Yamato no Orochi — A massive serpent-like Special Grade later used to intimidate Jujutsu Headquarters. 98 246
- Great Tengu — A Domain-capable Special Grade received from Gojo after its defeat. 175
- Mahito — A controlled Cursed Spirit who is eager to please Geto and can use Domain Expansion. 371 412
- The Four Calamities — Jogo, Hanami, Mahito, and Dagon survived the Kyoto battle despite Geto's wider losses. 456 473 477
Maximum Technique: Vortex
Geto can use Maximum Technique: Vortex in two distinct ways. 465
- Fuses selected Cursed Spirits into a single high-density blast of Cursed Energy. 465
- Extracts a Cursed Spirit's technique for his own temporary use, allowing him to access abilities needed for specific situations, such as opening a gap in a barrier. 465
Domain Countermeasures
Geto uses Cursed Spirits with Domain Expansions and carries a Cursed Tool containing New Shadow Style's Simple Domain. 409
- Gluttonous Feast allows him to absorb Cursed Spirits and gain access to their domains. 175
- Can use Simple Domain to defend against hostile domain effects. 409 473
- Counters enemy domains by attacking their outer shell from outside or flooding their interior with overwhelming numbers of Cursed Spirits. 368
Reverse Cursed Technique
Geto learned Reverse Cursed Technique through a temporary soul swap with Gojo, allowing his body to experience Gojo's continuous healing firsthand. 238 243
- Can heal his injuries with positive energy. 412
- His output is inefficient compared with other Special Grades. 243
- Maintaining Reverse Cursed Technique makes Cursed Spirit Manipulation more difficult. 243
Close-Quarters Combat
Despite calling Cursed Spirit Manipulation his talent, Geto considers close combat a hobby. He is an experienced hand-to-hand fighter who can summon Cursed Spirits without giving up melee pressure. 58 112
- Uses summoned Cursed Spirits to soften impacts and create openings. 58
- Fought Artoria directly with a Three-Section Staff after dismissing his spirits. 58
- Can wield Playful Cloud with enough force to severely injure Special Grade opponents. 33 186
- Defended against Kenjaku's enhanced Blood Manipulation assault with Heavenly Restriction. 411
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Playful Cloud — A powerful Cursed Tool Geto uses in close combat against Cursed Spirits and sorcerers. 33 186 409
- Three-Section Staff — Used during his training-ground spar with Artoria. 58
- Heavenly Restriction — A Special Grade Cursed Tool used against Kenjaku; it can be split into two sections for defense and counterattacks. 411 473

- Mimiko Hasaba — Adopted daughter. Geto patiently reassures her and protects her alongside Nanako. 200 208 241
- Masamichi Yaga — Teacher and principal at Tokyo Jujutsu High; Geto chose to help him when Jujutsu Headquarters placed Yaga under house arrest. 53 244
- Naobito Zenin — Early mentor who introduced Geto to the Jujutsu World and offered him a place at the Zenin dojo. 487
- Mahito — Controlled Cursed Spirit and subordinate; Mahito actively seeks Geto's approval and protects him during the conflict with Kenjaku. 371 412
- Takako Uro — Member of Geto's family and his strongest stealth-oriented assassin. 465
- Kenjaku — Enemy who covets Geto's body and Cursed Spirit Manipulation, considering him an exceptionally compatible vessel. 104 393
Story Role / Major Arcs
Early Missions and Jujutsu High
Geto met Eiji as a middle-school classmate, invited him to the music club, and began taking curse-exorcism commissions with him. He later entered Tokyo Jujutsu High with Gojo, Eiji, Artoria, and Shoko. 8 53
During the attack on Tokyo Jujutsu High, Geto captured Bone Woman and Yamato no Orochi, then demanded an explanation from Eiji regarding Riko Amanai's situation. 98
Sendai Barrier
At the Sendai Barrier's South Gate, Geto deployed nearly 20,000 Cursed Spirits against Tamamo-no-Mae's army. Gojo later gifted him Great Tengu's severed head, allowing Geto to absorb it and gain its domain knowledge. 169 175
Village Incident and Family
Geto discovered Nanako and Mimiko imprisoned and abused by villagers. Torn between the Jujutsu Secrecy Principle and his anger, he used Cursed Energy to terrify the villagers rather than kill them, exposing their crimes and enabling their arrest. 200
He took the sisters abroad during an off-campus internship, later returned to Tokyo Jujutsu High with them, and became their adoptive father. 200 208
Star Religious Cult
After mastering Reverse Cursed Technique, Geto took over the reformed Star Religious Cult. His influence, charm, and expanded Cursed Spirit collection made Eiji wary that he might drift toward extremism, though Geto remained more willing to coexist with ordinary people than before. 243
Conflict with Kenjaku
Kenjaku directly targeted Geto for possession, seeking Cursed Spirit Manipulation and Geto's highly compatible body. Geto countered Kenjaku's Cursed Spirits with his own, fought him with Playful Cloud and Heavenly Restriction, and used layered Cursed Spirit domains and Simple Domain to resist Kenjaku's techniques. 393 409 411
Shibuya and Kyoto Battle
In Shibuya, Geto trapped thousands of people within an Imaginary World, absorbed Jogo and Hanami after Gojo defeated them, and used his Cursed Spirits to detain and interrogate Curse Users. 456
When Gojo became trapped behind Kyoto's Purification Barrier, Geto led his family through an army of Cursed Spirits to rescue him. The barrier purified his summoned spirits, forcing Geto to extract a Cursed Spirit's technique through Vortex and attempt infiltration personally. 464 465
Kenjaku and Abe no Seimei later focused their combined domains on Geto as the supposedly easiest Special Grade to eliminate. Gojo arrived during the clash, and the two ultimately allowed themselves to be sealed in the Prison Realm to buy time and clear surrounding enemies. 473 474
