Wang Lin was an inner disciple of the Heng Yue Sect. Even while the sect endured, he followed the course that led him to kill Sun Dazhu; Lin Che concluded that Wang Lin’s conflict with the Teng Family would still occur. 6

The Teng Family’s destruction of the Wang Family became the defining grievance of his life. During his early attempt at revenge, he fought Teng Huayuan to recover his parents’ souls from the Soul Banner and entered the Extraterrestrial Battlefield after sending their souls away. 13 14

After centuries of cultivation, Wang Lin returned to his abandoned ancestral home as a Nascent Soul cultivator. There, he paid respects to his parents’ tablets and vowed to make the Teng Family answer for the massacre. 89
