Background

Li Muwan lost her parents while young and was raised by her older brother, Li Qiqing. The siblings joined the Luo He Sect, where they began cultivating through pill refinement. Her exceptional alchemical ability earned her elite-disciple treatment and a secluded courtyard stocked with spiritual herbs, alchemy texts, and a personal furnace. 23 28

While fleeing pursuers in Fire Ember Country, Li Muwan was saved by Lin Che when she was near death. They cultivated together for more than ten years; Lin Che taught her pill refinement and flame control before leaving her the location of Heng Yue Sect. Several years later, she found him there, fulfilling his promise that they would meet again if fate allowed. 2
