History
Heng Yue Sect was built against a towering cliff in Zhao Kingdom. At the beginning of the story, it hosted an exchange competition with Xuan Dao Sect while its disciples and elders were unaware that Lin Che—its prodigy disciple missing for a century—had returned. His return immediately transformed the sect's standing within Zhao Kingdom. 1
Lin Che had been Huang Long Zhenren's direct disciple before his disappearance. Upon returning at the early Nascent Soul Transformation stage, he placed spiritual-energy seeds in the sect's elders and pressured Zhao Kingdom's sects and cultivation families to contribute 30% of their collected resources to Heng Yue Sect. 2 4 His presence prevented Xuan Dao Sect from absorbing Heng Yue Sect after its senior members were lost in the Extraterrestrial Battlefield. 3
The sect was later destroyed by a cultivator from Vermillion Bird Kingdom who had come seeking Lin Che. Its elders died, while many disciples survived only because they had already left and subsequently sought refuge with Xuan Dao Sect. Lin Che returned to the ruins, restored the sect signboard, recovered the surviving disciples, and declared that Heng Yue Sect would endure as long as its disciples remained. 48 50 51
Lin Che appointed Zhang Kuang as the new Sect Leader, elevated available Core Formation cultivators to elders, and began recruiting throughout Zhao Kingdom. He also ordered Teng Huayuan to stop extracting mortals' spiritual roots; with Lin Che's help, affected mortals regained the ability to cultivate, and new talent entered the sect over the following decade. 51 52
Under Lin Che's patronage, the sect became Zhao Kingdom's foremost force. It eventually hosted Lin Che and Li Muwan's wedding, attended by representatives from nearly every Zhao Kingdom sect and cultivation family. 92 138 It continued to rely on Lin Che's formations, energy-body protection, and personal intervention when threatened by outside cultivators. 161 231 232
