Early the next morning, Siduri brought over a stack of clay tablets. They recorded the work Shen Fei's group would be doing in Uruk. To live in Uruk—especially in this era—everyone had to work unless they were genuinely incapable of doing so. Naturally, no one objected; Shen Fei had already explained this to them before they came.
"Check on the cattle and sheep at the ranch."
"Repair the damaged city walls."
"Transport supplies at the market."
None of the tasks Siduri brought were particularly difficult. It was everyone's first day working in Uruk, and they first needed to familiarize themselves with the circumstances of this era.
"Miss Aozaki, this way, please."
After placing the clay tablets on the table, Siduri walked over to Aozaki Touko. Those tasks belonged to Mash, Ritsuka, Lord El-Melloi II, Reines El-Melloi Archisorte, Flat Escardos, Svin Glascheit, and the others. Aozaki Touko, Da Vinci, Shen Fei, the King Arthur, and the rest had different assignments.
For instance, Aozaki Touko's current task was her old profession: making dolls. They were not for combat, but for treating warriors who had been disabled in battle. There were quite a few disabled soldiers in Uruk. If their bodies could be restored, it would help compensate for the shortage of soldiers.
Da Vinci, meanwhile, was heading to the research institute to take part in the study of the poisonous Dragon that had just been transported back yesterday. The goal was to develop an antidote serum as quickly as possible. Uruk had suffered heavy casualties in its campaign against the poisonous Dragon Bashm. Many soldiers had been poisoned; some had collapsed forever immediately after being poisoned, while others had suffered milder, nonfatal poisoning that still tormented them. Those people were in urgent need of aid.
