"Miss Kukulkan, what did you just say?" Kukulkan's words made Mash, Ritsuka, and the others stare at her wide-eyed in shock. There was a saying about giving yourself away without being asked, and Kukulkan had just done exactly that. Although Mash and Ritsuka had told her that Chaldea's vessel had been shot down, they had never given her the details.
Boom! Boom!
Just then, the ground shook violently again. The foot of the enormous creature that had moved off earlier reappeared ahead of the group and approached them. At the same time, the sandworms beneath the ground began stirring, making Nitocris tense up. Mejed's Protection could not prevent the sandworms from detecting enemies; their methods differed from those of ordinary people.
"Why don't we attack that foot too and see what kind of creature it is?" Shen Fei immediately offered his suggestion. With Kukulkan there, they could not possibly lose, whatever that enormous foot turned out to be.
"All right." After considering it for a moment, Da Vinci nodded to Ritsuka. They could not keep hiding from that enormous foot forever. They might as well attack it and see what happened.
With the decision made, Nitocris withdrew Mejed's Protection. The battle began, then ended almost immediately. The sandworms were no match for Shen Fei, while Kukulkan kicked the enormous creature's foot clear out of sight.
"It really was just a foot." Kukulkan's attack proved one thing: that enormous foot existed on its own, rather than being part of some enormous creature.
Then something even more surprising happened: the fierce winds that had been raging around them vanished. This was undoubtedly excellent news for Chaldea's group. Traveling against those winds had been exhausting.
"Could that foot have been the main body?" Kukulkan asked, looking puzzled.
"It was undoubtedly a physical creature.
