Background / History

Qingyuan Realm was originally the Thirty-Second Heaven, Qingwei Heaven. Following the collapse of the Heavenly Realm, Qingwei Heaven fell and became divided; Qingyuan Realm was one half of that former heaven. Its eventual reunion with the other half was foretold as a major calamity and opportunity. 255 502 505

In ancient times, the Innate Divine Race occupied Qingwei Heaven and enslaved its human and demon inhabitants. The human and demon races later rose against them, forming an alliance that included the Azure Dragon Clan and the Literary Sage. 255

The realm possesses extraordinary significance because it contains the seed of the Vast Sky Dao Tree, the supreme treasure formed from the Vast Sky Great Emperor. This seed attracted legacies from several supreme figures, including the Immortal Ancestor, Taixu Daojun, Literary Sage, and Future Star Venerable Buddha. 363

As the reunification approached, the Three Sects evacuated cultivators below the Seventh Realm to reduce casualties. The other half of Qingwei Heaven descended over Qingyuan Realm, beginning the Unification of Two Realms. 502

During the ensuing invasion by the Innate Divine Race and Nether Gods, the other half finally merged with Qingyuan Realm. The united world reappeared as Qingwei Heaven. 503 505

Qingyuan Realm possesses an origin will capable of favoring cultivators. Jiang Chuan recognizes that he received this favor, while Lu Chenling later gains initial recognition from the realm's origin and refines a small portion of it. 255 378 490

The realm's origin is a strategic objective during the conflict surrounding reunification. Di Yang attempts to seize control of Qingwei Heaven's origin after the worlds merge, seeking the augmentation granted by a Heaven's power. 505

Sons of Qingyuan Realm

Mu Bingyun and Lu Chenling are both identified as possible Sons of the Qingyuan Realm when an Immortal Ancestor-forged divine whip reacts between them. 444

• Mu Bingyun — Initially suspected when the divine whip flies toward her; her cultivation path prevents her from immediately integrating a Divine Seat into her Dao Fruit. 444

Innate Divine Race

The Innate Divine Race are descendants of the Vast Sky Great Emperor, born with Innate Divine Blood. They once ruled Qingwei Heaven and enslaved humans and demons. 255

They later supported Maha Hall to influence the Three Paths and weaken Qingyuan Realm's foundations. Several Eleventh Realm members descended by possessing Maha Hall's high-ranking figures. 400

Their return coincides with the Unification of Two Realms, when they invade alongside Nether Gods under Black Feather Divine Venerable and Di Yang. 503

Huang Chong and the Immortal Phoenix

Huang Chong's activities and escape pose a threat to Qingyuan Realm, particularly through the dangers surrounding the Nine Abyss Prison and the Immortal Phoenix's Dao Fruit. 206 270

After Huang Chong's defeat, Ancestor Ziyun absorbs his Dao Fruit world, raising concerns about the consequences for Qingyuan Realm. 209
