Arc 37The Investiture and the Demonic Path

Li Yun settled the Human Race’s traitors and strengthened its order before turning to Ye Qingcheng’s demonic cultivation. As the Heavenly Dao empowered Yuanshi Tianzun to carry out the Investiture of the Gods, Li Mo decided the Demonic Path had to descend and act against the plan.

  • Li Yun raised the Twelve Zodiac captains to Half-Saint status, then ordered the purge of Human Teachings disciples and other human collaborators who had joined the Demonic Path.
  • Li Yun selected a little over ten thousand traitors to atone by having children and turned the rest into Blood Fiend Steles, then proposed that the Human Race choose its own final Great Emperor.
  • The Three Human Ancestors chose Yu the Great, and Humanity Dao’s fortune surged as the Twelve Zodiac became bound to the Human Race.
  • The Heavenly Dao negotiated with Hongjun, withheld the Investiture of the Gods from Di Jun, and chose Yuanshi Tianzun as its spokesperson.

  • Li Yun brought Ye Qingcheng to Li Mo, who agreed to oversee her Demonic Dao cultivation, while Jieyin and Zhunti sought cooperation with the Demonic Path.
  • Jieyin revealed the Heavenly Dao’s plan to complete the Investiture under Yuanshi Tianzun, and Li Mo decided to lead the Demonic Path into descent with Li Yun’s approval.
Chapters 913–937 Vol. 10 Read

Ch. 913Twelve Zodiacs

Emperor Li Yun secured the cultivators’ loyalty and offered his twelve guard captains the chance to become the Twelve Zodiacs, gaining Half-Saint cultivation and Saint-level combat power in exchange for an oath of loyalty. After Chenlong and the other captains accepted, another cultivator asked whether the same opportunity could be offered to the rest.

  • Cultivators swore loyalty to Emperor Li Yun after witnessing his strength and the security his protection offered.
  • Emperor Li Yun summoned his twelve guard captains, whose true forms corresponded to the Twelve Zodiacs, and offered to raise them to Half-Saint cultivation at the cost of losing the chance to attain Dao and become Saints.
  • Chenlong asked what Emperor Li Yun meant, and he explained that the Twelve Zodiacs would receive Human Race Qi and Human Dao Power, granting them combat power comparable to an Early Saint.
  • Chenlong and the other eleven captains accepted, pledging loyalty to Emperor Li Yun and protection of the Human Race through a Dao Heart Oath.
  • A cultivator stepped forward and asked Emperor Li Yun whether the other cultivators could receive the same opportunity.

Ch. 914The Twenty-Four Solar Terms

Li Yun promised the assembled Quasi-Saints the twenty-four solar term seats and revealed that he had attained the Sage Realm, securing their fervent allegiance. After ordering Chenlong and the other zodiac holders to prepare, he was summoned to the East Sea coast, where Xuandu, Luochuan, and others stood before trapped Human Teachings disciples and humans.

  • Li Yun explained that twenty-four solar term seats could grant their holders Quasi-Saint Perfection and Half-Saint combat strength as the Humanity Dao grew stronger.
  • The cultivators swore allegiance to Li Yun, and he unleashed Saint-level pressure before confirming that he had attained Dao through strength.
  • Li Yun warned the cultivators to remember their place, then ordered Chenlong and the other eleven zodiac holders to prepare to take their seats after the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors' affairs were complete.
  • A voice summoned Li Yun to the East Sea coast, and he immediately flew there.
  • Li Yun arrived to find Xuandu, Luochuan, and others facing trapped Human Teachings disciples and a large number of humans.

Ch. 915Li Yun's Ruthlessness Awakens Xuandu

Li Yun and Xuandu confronted the discovery that many of their disciples had ties to the Demonic Path and showed signs of demonic corruption. Li Yun ordered the compromised disciples dealt with, and Xuandu resolved to take responsibility for his own followers.

  • Xuandu blamed himself for failing to notice that his disciples had become entangled with the Demonic Path.
  • Li Yun arrived, heard that nearly all of Xuandu’s non-direct disciples and one-third of his own disciples were compromised, and condemned Luomo’s ruthlessness.
  • Li Yun handed Luochuan the Great Emperor Sword and ordered him to clean house among the compromised disciples.
  • Li Yun warned Xuandu that leniency would endanger the Human Teachings, and Xuandu accepted his guidance.
  • Li Yun rejected Luoyang’s hesitation and declared that disciples who betrayed the Human Race deserved death.

Ch. 916Xuandu Cleans House

Xuandu punished the Human Teachings disciples who had sided with the Demonic Path, while Li Yun arrived to deal with the human traitors. The chapter ended as Xuandu turned to Li Yun, aware that millions of human collaborators remained.

  • Luochuan and the other two accepted Li Yun’s order to deal with the Human Teachings disciples who had cooperated with the Demonic Path.
  • Xuandu confronted his disciples and condemned them for choosing the Demonic Path and bringing suffering to the Human Race.
  • Xuandu crushed his disciples, annihilating their bodies and souls as the surrounding cultivators watched in fear.
  • Li Yun arrived after his own people had already dealt with their betrayers, and the remaining human collaborators begged him for mercy.
  • Xuandu addressed Li Yun, noting that millions of human traitors remained and that dealing with them would be difficult.

Ch. 917The Last Chance

Li Yun sentenced the Human Race members who aided the Demonic Path to death, allowing only those with sufficient potential and value to atone before they died. He selected a little over ten thousand people, then turned to deal with everyone left behind.

  • Li Yun told Xuandu he would handle the captured betrayers and declared that they would all die, though some could atone first.
  • The condemned pleaded for a chance to atone, and Li Yun used his observation ability to identify those with valuable potential.
  • Li Yun selected a little over ten thousand people from several million, and they gathered before him, relieved to have a chance to serve the Human Race.
  • Xuandu questioned why so few were chosen, and Li Yun said excellence mattered more than numbers.
  • Li Yun told the remaining betrayers that they had no reason to live and raised his hand, saying, “Break~”

Ch. 918Blood-Colored Stone Tablet

Li Yun transformed the traitors’ remains into Blood Fiend Steles that would guard the area and aid the Human Race. He then told the more than ten thousand people chosen to atone for their crimes that their assigned duty was to have children, leaving everyone stunned.

  • Li Yun erased the traitors’ souls and turned their remains into blood-red steles.
  • Li Yun explained to Xuandu, Luochuan, and the others that the Blood Fiend Steles would suppress and destroy invaders while guarding the area.
  • The people chosen to atone for their crimes feared Li Yun’s methods and awaited instructions on how to earn merit.
  • Xuandu asked Li Yun what should be done with the more than ten thousand people.
  • Li Yun assigned the group the duty of having children, shocking Xuandu, Luochuan, and everyone present.

Ch. 919The Great Plan for Procreation

Li Yun forced the captured cultivators to accept a procreation quota in exchange for the chance at reincarnation, then assigned Luochuan and Luoyang to oversee the arrangement. After the group departed, Xuandu asked how they would fill the final Great Emperor position with no candidates left.

  • Li Yun told the cultivators that the women could earn reincarnation after bearing twenty children and human reincarnation after thirty, while the men faced a quota ten times higher.
  • Li Yun threatened to put anyone who refused into the grand array, and the cultivators agreed to his terms.
  • Li Yun ordered Luochuan and Luoyang to arrange a secluded settlement and coordinate with the Three Ancestors on sending suitable partners from the Human Race.
  • Luochuan and Luoyang led the Human Race cultivators away, leaving Li Yun and Xuandu behind.
  • Xuandu asked Li Yun what they would do about the final Great Emperor position, since both their groups' disciples had been swept up and no candidates remained.

Ch. 920Li Yun's Decision, Xuandu's Plea

Li Yun and Xuandu agreed that the human race would choose its own final Great Emperor and future Human Race Sovereign, with the Three Ancestors overseeing the decision. Li Yun planned to hunt down Luomo in the Demonic Path, and Xuandu demanded to be contacted so he could make Luomo pay.

  • Li Yun proposed that the human race choose its own Human Race Sovereign, with the Human Teachings no longer interfering in dynastic affairs unless the sovereign betrayed the people.
  • Xuandu approved Li Yun's proposal, and Li Yun sent the Heavenly Emperor to inform the Three Ancestors and have them prepare to oversee the choice.
  • Xuandu insisted that the human race's calamity could not go unanswered, and Li Yun named Luomo as the culprit behind the incident.
  • Li Yun said one of his incarnations was in the Demonic Path and that he would investigate Luomo after the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors matter concluded.
  • Xuandu asked Li Yun to contact him when he found Luomo and vowed to make Luomo pay for offending the Human Teachings.

Ch. 921A New Tribulation Begins

Li Yun learned from Li Xuan that the Heavenly Dao and Earthly Dao were rising, signaling that a new Tribulation was near. He left Xuandu and Li Xuan to secure the Human Race and set out to investigate, while Ye Qingcheng reached the Quasi-Saint Early Stage by comprehending the Law of Devour.

  • Li Yun agreed to leave the Human Race's affairs to Xuandu while he pursued matters that would keep him away for some time.
  • Li Xuan arrived and reported that Sect Master Tongtian's matter was handled, then Li Yun ordered him to guard the Human Race, especially its outer regions.
  • Li Xuan warned Li Yun that the Heavenly Dao and Earthly Dao were rapidly growing stronger and that a new Tribulation would begin soon.
  • Li Yun vowed to investigate the rising forces and help the Human Race establish itself in the coming Tribulation, then departed as Xuandu and Li Xuan went to the Human Race's Ancestral Temple.
  • Ye Qingcheng comprehended the Law of Devour, advanced to the Quasi-Saint Early Stage, and stabilized her cultivation.

Ch. 922The Last Emperor, Birth of the Twelve Zodiacs

Ye Qingcheng reached the Quasi-Saint Realm after absorbing demonic power, but she and Li Yun discovered that the power was altered and unstable. Li Yun took her to the Devil Race to seek help from his avatar, while the human race completed its Five Emperors and established the Twelve Zodiac Animals, drawing the Earthly Dao’s attention.

  • Li Yun examined the demonic qi in Ye Qingcheng’s palm and found that its nature had been altered and Ye Qingcheng had not truly controlled it.
  • Li Yun promised that his avatar could help resolve the problem, and Ye Qingcheng agreed to follow him to the Devil Race.
  • After half a month of discussion, the Three Human Ancestors chose Yu the Great as the final Great Emperor, and he advanced to the Half-Saint realm through Humanity Dao fortune and merit.
  • Li Xuan established Chenlong and the others as the Twelve Zodiac Animals, and their cultivation advanced to the Half-Saint stage as they became bound to the human race.
  • Humanity Dao’s fortune surged, shaking the Primordial World, and the Earthly Dao opened its eyes and reacted grimly to the aura.

Ch. 923Wrath of the Earthly Dao

Earthly Dao confronted Xuanming, Houtu, Minghe, and Zhen Yuanzi about Humanity Dao’s rapid rise and the unfinished plans under their banners. Xuanming and Houtu left to resolve the Witch Clan’s problems, while Zhen Yuanzi promised to finish his own task within half a month or lose Earthly Dao’s empowerment.

  • Earthly Dao explained that the Human Race had established the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, the Three Saints and five Half-Saints, and the Twelve Zodiac, giving Humanity Dao the strength to contend with Heavenly Dao.
  • Minghe said that he had already settled the affairs of his Asura lineage, while Xuanming, Houtu, and Zhen Yuanzi admitted their own matters remained unfinished.
  • Xuanming and Houtu promised to return and quickly resolve the Witch Clan’s problems, and Earthly Dao sent them away.
  • Earthly Dao asked Zhen Yuanzi about the Earth Immortal Lineage, and he promised to resolve the matter within half a month.
  • Earthly Dao warned Zhen Yuanzi that his empowerment would be reduced after half a month, cut in half after a month, and stopped entirely if the matter remained unfinished after half a year.

Ch. 924Heavenly Dao's Accountability, Hongjun's Defense

Zhen Yuanzi left to address his problems while Minghe agreed to let the Earthly Dao merge his Small Primordial World with the Netherworld. In Zixiao Palace, the Heavenly Dao confronted Hongjun over his failure to stop the Earthly Dao and Humanity Dao from growing stronger, and Hongjun defended his inaction by citing Laozi’s threat.

  • Zhen Yuanzi departed after realizing the danger of the matter and the need to settle his problems.
  • The Earthly Dao urged Minghe to act quickly, and Minghe asked it to help transfer his Small Primordial World into the Netherworld and merge it with his Netherworld.
  • The Heavenly Dao struck Hongjun with a beam of violet light, then manifested an independent figure in Zixiao Palace.
  • The Heavenly Dao asked Hongjun why he had failed to respond to the Earthly Dao’s growth and Humanity Dao’s improved foundation.
  • Hongjun explained that Laozi had been watching Zixiao Palace and would have attacked him if he had intervened, adding that the Earthly Dao could bring its chosen candidate to Merge with Dao.

Ch. 925The Heavenly Dao Refuses, Hongjun's Goal

Hongjun demanded that Heavenly Dao let him advance one step further, but Heavenly Dao refused and offered him freedom if he dealt with Humanity Dao and Earthly Dao. Hongjun rejected that offer as insufficient and demanded the complete Creation Jade Disc.

  • Heavenly Dao asked Hongjun how he wanted the matter handled, and Hongjun demanded the chance to advance one step further.
  • Heavenly Dao refused, warning that Hongjun would become strong enough to threaten him.
  • Hongjun fell silent, and Heavenly Dao offered him freedom if he dealt with Humanity Dao and Earthly Dao, while leaving his further advancement to his own ability.
  • Hongjun said the offer was insufficient because Heavenly Dao had already promised him freedom and Humanity Dao and Earthly Dao had grown too powerful to target casually.
  • Hongjun demanded the complete Creation Jade Disc, which he believed Heavenly Dao had prevented him from assembling.

Ch. 926The Heavenly Dao's Concession

Hongjun secured the Heavenly Dao’s agreement to reveal information about the Creation Jade Disc fragments and not interfere with them. The Heavenly Dao then gave Hongjun the Investiture of the Gods and urged him to restore its declining dominance over the Primordial World.

  • The Heavenly Dao explained the value of the Creation Jade Disc and admitted that he had secretly hidden some of its fragments from Hongjun.
  • The Heavenly Dao agreed to let Hongjun investigate the fragments, and Hongjun demanded that he neither take any fragments into chaos nor interfere with them again.
  • The Heavenly Dao accepted Hongjun’s conditions and warned him that the Heavenly Dao’s dominance in the Primordial World was rapidly declining.
  • The Heavenly Dao presented Hongjun with the Investiture of the Gods and said it could greatly strengthen the Demon Clan and help it suppress the Witch Clan, the Human Race, and other races.

Ch. 927The Investiture of the Gods Will Begin

Hongjun and Heavenly Dao argued over who would control the Investiture of the Gods, and Heavenly Dao chose Yuanshi Tianzun, promising him immense power. The chapter ended with Heavenly Dao appearing in person before Yuanshi Tianzun at Jade Void Palace.

  • Heavenly Dao forbade Hongjun from giving the Investiture of the Gods to Di Jun or the Demon Race and directed him to appoint Yuanshi Tianzun instead.
  • Heavenly Dao said Yuanshi Tianzun would gain half-step Dao Ancestor cultivation and Dao Ancestor-level combat power, then took the Investiture of the Gods and left to meet him personally.
  • Hongjun summoned Di Jun, Jieyin, Zhunti, and Nuwa to Zixiao Palace, intending to offer them benefits and keep them under his influence.
  • The Eye of Heavenly Dao appeared in Jade Void Palace, and Heavenly Dao arrived in person before Yuanshi Tianzun.

Ch. 928Heavenly Dao's Recruitment

Heavenly Dao summoned Yuanshi Tianzun and asked him to become its spokesperson for the Investiture of the Gods, a plan intended to restore its rule over the Primordial World. Yuanshi questioned why he should help, and Heavenly Dao explained that it did not trust Hongjun to lead the plan before beginning to reveal the Investiture's value.

  • Yuanshi Tianzun greeted Heavenly Dao despite his resentment and concealed killing intent.
  • Heavenly Dao asked Yuanshi Tianzun to become its spokesperson, and Yuanshi demanded to know why.
  • Heavenly Dao summoned the Investiture of the Gods and said it was a future plan and tribulation that would let it reign over the Primordial World again.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun considered destroying the Investiture, but Heavenly Dao said only someone who surpassed it could destroy the object formed from its origin.
  • Heavenly Dao admitted it chose Yuanshi partly because it held his Original Primordial Spirit, and said Hongjun's ambitions made him unfit to lead the plan.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun asked about the Investiture's value, and Heavenly Dao began to explain.

Ch. 929Tempting Yuanshi with Benefits

The Heavenly Dao tempted Yuanshi Tianzun with the Investiture of the Gods, promising power enough to reach the Dao Ancestor level in exchange for serving as its representative and completing the Canonization of the Gods. Yuanshi accepted the treasure and began refining it, gaining power that brought him close to a half-step Dao Ancestor.

  • The Heavenly Dao explained that the Investiture of the Gods could make Yuanshi Tianzun lord of All Gods and potentially help him surpass Hongjun.
  • The Heavenly Dao revealed that Yuanshi would have to become its representative, give up reclaiming his Original Primordial Spirit, and eventually replace Hongjun in merging with the Dao.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun concluded that the promised power and chance to surpass Laozi and Tongtian were too tempting to refuse, then asked about the price.
  • The Heavenly Dao said refining the Investiture would combine its divine power with the trace of Heavenly Dao Origin within Yuanshi and raise him to the half-step Dao Ancestor level.
  • Yuanshi seized the Investiture, refined it with his essence blood, felt his power rise close to a half-step Dao Ancestor, and drew the treasure into the space between his brows.

Ch. 930Yuanshi Falls into the Trap, Hongjun Shows His Hand

Yuanshi Tianzun accepted the Heavenly Dao’s power and became its spokesperson, reaching the late half-step Dao Ancestor realm before setting out to continue the Investiture of the Gods. In Zixiao Palace, Hongjun revealed that the Heavenly Dao planned to select 365 gods from the Demon Race, and Di Jun questioned whether his people had to participate.

  • The Heavenly Dao merged the Investiture of the Gods and divine power with Yuanshi Tianzun, making him its spokesperson and ordering him to rely on the Demon Race to complete the Investiture.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun’s strength rose to the late half-step Dao Ancestor realm, and he accepted that he had no way back.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun examined the Investiture of the Gods and left to make up for its deficiencies, relying on the Demon Race.
  • Jieyin, Zhunti, Nuwa, and Di Jun appeared before Hongjun in Zixiao Palace, while Yuanshi Tianzun was absent.
  • Hongjun announced that the Heavenly Dao would choose 365 Orthodox Gods from the Demon Race, granting them Divine Path cultivation and repeated revival through the Investiture.
  • Di Jun asked Hongjun whether the Demon Race truly had to participate, fearing the plan would divide his people and undermine his authority.

Ch. 931Luring Saints with Temptation, Di Jun Falls into the Trap

Hongjun persuaded Di Jun and the other Saints to cooperate with the Investiture of the Gods by promising them influence over its divine appointments. The chapter revealed that Yuanshi Tianzun held the Heavenly Dao’s Investiture and had become its spokesperson, leaving the others to approach him for details.

  • Hongjun told Di Jun that his son could receive one of the Four Imperials' positions, which carried authority second only to the Heavenly Emperor.
  • Hongjun assured Di Jun that the Demon Race would remain intact and that Di Jun would continue to command it.
  • Hongjun offered Jieyin, Zhunti, and Nuwa the chance to place their followers among the Four Imperials if they had the ability.
  • Nuwa asked how their disciples could enter the Investiture of the Gods, and Hongjun said Yuanshi Tianzun held the Heavenly Dao's Investiture.
  • Hongjun promised to have Di Jun's son recorded in the Investiture and warned the Saints to respect Yuanshi Tianzun, who had become the Heavenly Dao's spokesperson and a half-step Dao Ancestor.

Ch. 932The Method of a Half-Step Dao Ancestor

Jieyin, Zhunti, and Nuwa were shocked to learn Yuanshi Tianzun had become the Heavenly Dao’s spokesperson and reached the half-step Dao Ancestor realm. Hongjun explained that the only other path required surrendering one’s entire Original Primordial Spirit to the Heavenly Dao, leaving them silent and uncertain.

  • Jieyin, Zhunti, and Nuwa questioned Hongjun after learning Yuanshi Tianzun had become the Heavenly Dao’s spokesperson and a half-step Dao Ancestor.
  • Hongjun said Yuanshi Tianzun’s advancement was the Heavenly Dao’s decision and warned them to abandon their hostile thoughts.
  • Di Jun asked Hongjun how they could enter the half-step Dao Ancestor realm, and Hongjun said it was possible at a great price.
  • Hongjun explained that they would have to entrust their entire Original Primordial Spirit to the Heavenly Dao, and that further advancement would require becoming its spokesperson or Merging with Dao.
  • Nuwa and the others asked if there was another way, but Hongjun said they had no other hope and reminded them that even the Three Pure Ones needed outside assistance.

Ch. 933Jieyin and Zhunti Excluded

After leaving Zixiao Palace, Nuwa and Di Jun agreed to exclude Jieyin and Zhunti from the Canonization of the Gods, which was to be overseen by Yuanshi Tianzun. Jieyin and Zhunti accepted that they could not secure a place for Western Teachings and decided to wait for the Investiture of the Gods to begin before making further plans.

  • Hongjun dismissed Nuwa and the other three, then warned that he might strike Yuanshi Tianzun if he obstructed his plan.
  • Jieyin asked the others about the Canonization of the Gods, and Di Jun said they had to follow the Heavenly Dao's will but told Jieyin and Zhunti not to get involved.
  • Nuwa backed Di Jun, saying the canonization concerned the Demon Race and was being presided over by Yuanshi Tianzun.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti asked for Western Teachings disciples to be included, but Nuwa and Di Jun refused and set off to discuss the matter with Yuanshi Tianzun.
  • Jieyin concluded that they could not force their way into the plan and told Zhunti to return and wait for the Investiture of the Gods to begin.

Ch. 934Yuanshi Enters the Demon Emperor's Palace, Encounter in the Demonic Path Valley

Yuanshi Tianzun entered the Demon Emperor's Palace and revealed that he had noticed Eastern Emperor Taiyi’s connection to the Demonic Path, but said he had come to discuss another matter with the Demon Race’s leaders. Meanwhile, Li Yun and Ye Qingcheng reached a valley filled with demonic qi and encountered Jieyin and Zhunti, who had come seeking the Demonic Path’s help.

  • Yuanshi Tianzun told Eastern Emperor Taiyi that he knew of the Demonic Path’s inheritance and warned that exposing it could endanger the Demon Race.
  • Yuanshi Tianzun reassured Eastern Emperor Taiyi that he had no intention of causing trouble and said he needed the agreement of the Demon Race’s four leaders for his proposal.
  • Eastern Emperor Taiyi invited Yuanshi Tianzun into the Demon Emperor's Palace and said his Big Brother, Nuwa, and Fuxi were away at Zixiao Palace.
  • Li Yun brought Ye Qingcheng to a valley in the Western Lands where demonic qi was especially dense.
  • Li Yun sensed Jieyin and Zhunti nearby and called them out; they emerged, having come to seek the Demonic Path’s power.

Ch. 935Jieyin and Zhunti's Defense Crumbles

Li Yun brought Jieyin and Zhunti to meet Li Mo, where the two Saints discovered that Li Mo was Li Yun’s avatar and a representative of the Demonic Dao. They were left astonished again when Li Mo pointed out that Li Yun’s disciple, Ye Qingcheng, carried an exceptionally pure Demonic Dao aura.

  • Jieyin and Zhunti told Li Yun they had come seeking someone because they feared Hongjun and needed a way to survive if the Heavenly Dao turned against them.
  • Li Yun invited Jieyin and Zhunti to follow him into the valley, where Li Mo was waiting in a cabin.
  • Li Yun introduced Ye Qingcheng as his direct disciple and had her greet Jieyin and Zhunti as her martial uncles.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti realized that Li Mo was Li Yun’s avatar and a representative of the Demonic Dao.
  • Li Mo noticed Ye Qingcheng’s strong Demonic Dao aura, surprising Jieyin and Zhunti because Li Yun had raised a demonic cultivator as his disciple.

Ch. 936Settling Ye Qingcheng, Jieyin and the Other Have a Showdown

Ye Qingcheng explained that the Devil Race’s attack had left her suited to Demonic Dao cultivation, and Li Mo agreed to oversee her training. Li Yun then turned the discussion to Jieyin and Zhunti, who said they wanted to cooperate with Li Mo and the Demonic Path.

  • Ye Qingcheng told Li Mo that Li Yun had saved her from demonic corruption, but its aftermath meant she could no longer cultivate orthodox methods.
  • Li Mo assured Ye Qingcheng that he could resolve any dangers in her cultivation and agreed to let her train under his oversight.
  • Li Yun said Ye Qingcheng would cultivate more smoothly among the Demonic Dao and asked Li Mo to assist her.
  • Li Yun indicated that he had another matter to discuss, then prompted Li Mo to ask Jieyin and Zhunti why they had come.
  • Jieyin and Zhunti denied seeking to push their luck and said they wanted to cooperate with Li Mo and the Demonic Path.
  • Li Mo questioned their motives and recalled that they had once betrayed Luohu.

Ch. 937Knowing the Truth, Li Yun's Shock

Jieyin and Zhunti told Li Mo and Li Yun that the Heavenly Dao planned to carry out the Investiture of the Gods under Yuanshi Tianzun, who had become its spokesperson and reached the half-step Dao Ancestor realm. Li Mo decided to bring the Demonic Path into the conflict, and Li Yun agreed to let it descend.

  • Jieyin revealed that the Heavenly Dao planned to complete the Investiture of the Gods and return fully to the Primordial World.
  • Li Yun asked why Jieyin and Zhunti opposed the plan, and Zhunti said Yuanshi Tianzun was leading it instead of Nuwa or Di Jun.
  • Jieyin explained that the Heavenly Dao had made Yuanshi Tianzun its spokesperson and helped him reach the half-step Dao Ancestor realm.
  • Li Mo decided the Demonic Path had to act before Yuanshi Tianzun's plan threatened it.
  • Li Yun approved Li Mo's plan to guide the Demonic Path into descent, and Li Mo summoned it.
