As Lu Yan and Luo Chen advanced their divine trials, Gu Chen helped Feng Xiaoyu search for a weapon that could withstand her growing magic.

• Gu Chen enhanced soul beasts across the continent, then assigned their leaders to take control of Spirit Hall Empire cities while forbidding both soul master poaching and soul beast attacks on humans.
• Tang San returned as the Sea God and challenged Gu Chen, but their battle ended in a truce after Tang San agreed to respect the soul beast protection ban.
• Gu Chen gave Tang San Artificial Soul Spirit blueprints, and Tang San began building equipment to produce them without harming soul beasts.
• Gu Chen's bloodline evolved into the Golden Dragon God bloodline, and he sent Lu Yan to lead the soul beast takeover of the Sun Moon Continent.
• Zhang Haisheng returned as the Moon God to attack Gu Chen's forces, but Gu Chen and Ye Wuyou defeated him, and Zhang Haisheng swore to serve Gu Chen if Marcia Aguilar could be revived.
• Lu Yan advanced as the Chess God Douluo, while Tang San completed the first Artificial Soul Spirit production line and Gu Chen arranged to take Lu Yan to her inheritance temple.
• Luo Chen completed his second God of Food trial by making Rainbow Castle and mixed fruit juices for Feng Xiaoyu, then began his month-long porridge-distribution trial.
• Gu Chen suspected Feng Xiaoyu's Azure Wind Staff was limiting her magic and took her to the treasury, where they found ten powerful wind-element weapons.

Gu Chen’s companions advanced through their divine trials while he strengthened the Spirit Empire with new weapons and Artificial Soul Spirits. The arc ended with Xuan Mo completing his sixth trial and urging Gu Chen and his allies to grow in secret.

• Feng Xiaoyu chose the Wind Vortex Sword, defeated the Ninth Priest and the Wind Rock Python, then claimed the Wind God’s sword, ring, and fan to complete her Seventh Trial.
• Lu Yan completed the Chess God’s Seventh Trial by surviving two life-choice trials, claimed the Heaven and Earth Chessboard, and raised her cultivation to rank 97.
• Jin Zi tamed soul beasts in the Myriad Beast Prison, completed her Second Trial, then led more than two thousand beasts to destroy zombies and beast corpses in the Apocalypse Earth Plane and completed her Third Trial.
• Luo Chen completed his third God of Food trial, while Ling Xiaojiu advanced through her Goddess of Forest trials and Mo Yun prepared for his next Scorpion God trial.
• Gu Chen and Gu Yuena prepared ten-thousand-year Artificial Soul Spirits with their bloodline and spiritual seeds, and Tang San joined Gu Chen’s effort against the God Realm and agreed to help equip the Shadow Guard.
• Gu Chen gave Mo Yun nearly a liter of golden dragon blood for body tempering, then took Jin Zi to the Apocalypse Earth Plane to advance her trials.
• Xuan Mo completed his sixth Earth God trial by defeating the final zombies with an enchanted heavy shield, gained greater divine affinity and power, and told Gu Chen they should grow in secret before astonishing everyone.

Feng Xiaoyu completed the Wind God inheritance, while Gu Chen helped Xue Youyou and Luo Chen advance their trials and redirected the Far North’s faith to himself. Xuan Mo began the Earth God’s final inheritance and, after surviving its emotional illusions, started fusing with his divine armor.

• Xuan Mo completed the Earth God’s Seventh Trial and remained in the Earthwalking Illusion to train, while Gu Chen and Jin Zi returned to the Sun Moon Empire to address the Demon Forest’s traitors.
• Feng Xiaoyu completed the Wind God’s inheritance after resisting its pain and illusions, becoming Wind God Feng Xiaoyu and reuniting with Luo Chen.
• Gu Chen helped Xue Youyou gather the Far North’s faith and complete her fourth Ice God trial, then drew that faith to himself and rose to Rank 97 Super Douluo.
• Luo Chen completed his fifth Food God trial by refining a pill from three God-tier ingredients, and Gu Chen returned with him to Spirit City.
• Gu Chen brought Xuan Mo to the Apocalypse Earth Plane, where Xuan Mo fused with soul bones before beginning the Earth God’s Ninth Trial under High Priest Tu Xingkong.
• Tu Xingkong sacrificed himself to send Xuan Mo through the Earth God Inheritance Gate, where Xuan Mo learned of the first Earth God’s shattered axe and began the inheritance.
• Xuan Mo endured the inheritance’s trials and illusions, including visions of his mother and Xue Youyou, while his soul bones were purified to god-grade quality.
• Xuan Mo rejected the final illusion, and the Earth God Heavy Shield moved to the eighth platform as Earth God divine power began transforming his soul bones into armor.

Xuan Mo completed the Earth God inheritance, while Hua Bu Luo and Ling Xiaojiu advanced in their own divine trials and Feng Xi joined Gu Chen’s faction. At the South Pole, Luo Chen absorbed the Zombie Virus from a divine flower, reached the Demigod realm, and gained a protective soul bone.

• Xuan Mo fused the Earth God armor and divine core into his body, completed the Ninth Trial, and gained fifty thousand years on each soul ring.
• Hua Bu Luo passed the Flower God’s fifth trial, raised his affinity and Soul Power, and stayed at the inheritance temple to learn disguise and aura concealment.
• Feng Xi attacked Gu Chen’s group, but Feng Xiaoyu revealed that he was her brother, and Feng Xi surrendered and joined Gu Chen’s faction.
• Ling Xiaojiu completed the Goddess of Forest’s Seventh Trial by claiming the Forest Singing Butterfly Qin and became a Limit Douluo.
• Gu Chen, Gu Yuena, Xuan Mo, and Luo Chen confronted mutated creatures at the South Pole and discovered that the Jasmine of Poisonous Destruction was stabilizing solidified Zombie Virus.
• Luo Chen ate the jasmine flower and absorbed the Zombie Virus, reaching Level 100 after a month of cultivation.
• Gu Chen gave Luo Chen a ninety-thousand-year Treasure Seeking Mouse trunk bone, and Luo Chen resisted its bewitching power and completed the fusion.
