What did he mean, she wasn't easy?
Mito frowned in confusion, feeling that something about this was off.
She was young and did not understand Kyosuke's suggestive remark, but that did not mean the other clansmen failed to grasp its meaning.
"How dare you speak so disrespectfully to the princess!"
"You won't be leaving here alive today!"
"Princess, let us capture him together!"
Mito stopped her agitated clansmen. Today, she was determined to capture him by herself.
That would send the clan's morale soaring and benefit the coming battle against the Uchiha Clan.
"Uchiha's Evil-Faced Rakshasa, I've long wanted to test myself against you."
Bang! With a simple burst of speed, the ground beneath her feet instantly exploded.
The terrifying Chakra fluctuations made Kyosuke frown slightly. The Yin Seal truly was an excellent jutsu.
Unfortunately, it was all meaningless if she could not hit her enemy.
"Compared to your Chakra, your control is still far too lacking." Nimbly evading her attacks, Kyosuke did not forget to disrupt her state with words.
The girl with the bun hairstyle was indeed quite strong. The problem was that she focused too much on increasing power and neglected the importance of control.
No, rather than saying she did not want to improve it, it was more accurate to say that she simply could not control power at this level.
Trying to defeat him through brute force alone was far too naïve.
After attack after attack was effortlessly evaded, Mito realized that she truly might not be able to touch him.
She instinctively began forming Hand Seals, preparing to unleash a powerful jutsu and force him into a direct confrontation.
Yet before she could act, she stopped with an ugly expression.
There was no way Mito could kill the surrounding clansmen along with him.
But in that brief moment of hesitation, Kyosuke instantly turned into a blur, his blade pressed directly against the girl's throat.
"You lost."
Kyosuke looked at Mito, who was nearly exploding with rage, and fell silent as he considered whether to take the opportunity to abduct her.
If used properly, she might force the Uzumaki Clan to cease hostilities. Even if that failed, she could at least make that old man think twice.
If the two sides truly clashed head-on, he knew the Uchiha Clan would most likely lose.
This was a fact Commander Hiroki had personally admitted. He had already suffered several defeats against Uzumaki Ashina.
If not for the other side's reservations and their unwillingness to offend the Uchiha Clan beyond repair, the entire front line might have collapsed long ago.
Now that Kyosuke had arrived, he naturally could not hand the initiative over to them.
Whether they fought or not, and how they fought, would be his decision.
With that thought, he extended a finger and lightly tapped the back of Mito's neck. "Sleep, my beautiful princess."
Before losing consciousness, Mito's heart was still filled with doubt. She had not expected him to truly dare lay a hand on her.
Did he think he could escape just because he had a hostage?
Too naïve. Before her father, any scheme would come to nothing.
Catching the bun-haired girl as she collapsed, Kyosuke ignored the clamoring Uzumaki clansmen nearby and instead looked toward the largest tent in the camp.
There, a terrifying presence had long since locked onto him. Kyosuke knew Uzumaki Ashina himself had to be inside. "Still refusing to show yourself? Quite the airs you have."
Even across the vast distance between them, Kyosuke could seemingly sense the Uzumaki clan head's disdain.
It was the particular self-assurance of the older generation. The elders, including Uchiha Tajima, were all like this. They seemed to look down on the younger generation that had only recently risen.
Kyosuke did not particularly care. Tajima was one thing, but Uzumaki Ashina would surely pay for his arrogance.
In the original story, the destruction of the Land of Whirlpools seemed to prove his point.
They chose to ally with the Senju, yet constantly held back during battle. Did they truly think Senju Butsuma could not see through that? With the world in chaos, everything could still be overlooked. But once the future was settled, it would be time to settle old scores with the Land of Whirlpools.
Uzumaki Ashina probably could not have imagined, even in death, that the Uchiha Clan and Senju would one day form an alliance.
His own clan would instead become an outsider.
With every power eyeing them greedily and that old schemer Black Zetsu occasionally stabbing them in the back, it would have been stranger if the Uzumaki Clan had not been destroyed.
"Foolish clan." Kyosuke sneered and began forming Hand Seals.
Suddenly, a figure charged out wildly, apparently sensing the fluctuations of Space-Time Ninjutsu.
Kyosuke felt as though the entire world was crushing down upon him.
It was Uzumaki Ashina, a terrifying peak Clan Head Level existence.
"What terrifying strength." Kyosuke quietly sighed, not forgetting to wave at the man.
The next second, both he and Mito vanished from where they stood.
The smile that had always remained on Uzumaki Ashina's face finally disappeared after he grabbed at empty air.
He admitted that he had been too careless.
For the enemy to barge alone into the Uzumaki headquarters, he must have possessed confidence in his ability to retreat safely.
How laughable that Ashina had underestimated him so badly. By the time he noticed the Space-Time fluctuations, it was already too late to save his daughter.
That raised a question. If the Uchiha Clan held Mito hostage and forced the Uzumaki Clan to surrender, what choice should he make? His daughter's life and victory in battle became a problem that weighed heavily on his mind.
Uchiha camp.
When Mito regained consciousness, she discovered that Sealing Jutsu had already been inscribed across her body.
She could still move, but she could not gather even a trace of Chakra.
The fan emblems visible everywhere made one thing abundantly clear: this was the Uchiha camp.
"I was captured." The girl stood up in disbelief, unable to understand how the other side had abducted her from their camp.
After thinking it over, the only explanation was that the bastard had taken her hostage, leaving her clansmen, including her father, too wary to act.
The more she thought about it, the less reasonable it seemed.
After struggling for quite some time and failing to undo the seals on her body, she finally settled down.
"If I had known this would happen, I would have worked harder to learn Sealing Jutsu from Father." Mito regretted it somewhat.
As she pondered, footsteps outside caught her attention.
The bun-haired girl tightly shut her eyes, intending to pretend she was still asleep for now and see whether she could find an opportunity to subdue the other party with taijutsu.
Just as she closed her eyes, she sensed two people entering from outside.
Then a familiar voice sounded beside her.
"Mayo, I'll leave her to you for the time being."
"Other than me, no one is allowed to take her away, including our dear Elder Hiroki."
That hateful voice immediately brought back the humiliating scene of her capture.
Did this bastard think she was his personal property? He was even forbidding others from taking her away?!
Beside him, a somewhat cool female voice spoke. "Yes, but this subordinate has a question."
"Go ahead."
"Does Lord Kyosuke intend to keep her as a mistress? If so, should this subordinate train her a little?"
"That's enough. Stop talking."
Kyosuke stopped her with a headache. Right now, he sorely missed the old quiet and taciturn Mayo.
He waved his hand to dismiss his subordinate, then turned toward the bun-haired girl pretending to sleep and slowly extended his sinful hands.
