Background / History

Naruto is expelled from his home by a Sarutobi Clan ninja and given 1,000 ryo. He realizes he has entered the role of Uzumaki Naruto in a dark novel, then eats the Devil Fruit he finds at home. Konoha’s villagers subsequently attack him, blaming him for their misfortunes; he endures the assault without losing control. 1

At five years old, Naruto has already trained for two and a half years. He learns the academy’s basic techniques, develops chakra-nature knowledge, and uses his plant-based power to recover Uchiha Shisui’s corpse from the Naka River. 8 He drains Shisui’s body for nutrients, gaining the Sharingan and further improving his speed, strength, and techniques. 9
