American Horror Story
San Diego, America.
The Halloween spirit hasn't faded yet, and at least at San Diego High School, students are still immersed in the holiday revelry.
This year's alumni day ball is different from previous years. Normally, the Alumni Day Dance is held a month after the start of the School Opening —but this year's Alumni Day Dance was held after Halloween.
Perhaps this is also related to some other reasons.
The Alumni Day Dance is usually held a month after the start of the School Opening. Literally, it's a ball to welcome students back to campus after their summer break. The Alumni Day Dance has a different theme each year and is second only to the graduation ball in terms of formality. The school rents a special venue to create a ceremonial atmosphere.
This year's Alumni Day Dance has a mysterious wizard theme.
"Did you know? We've invited a really cool friend today!"
A blonde girl said excitedly.
She looked overjoyed, as if she had invited some very important person.
"Okay, Tiffany," a slightly chubby girl next to her asked with great interest, "Looks like someone's already invited you—is that Spencer from our school? Oh my god, he's so cool—I've never seen such a dashing man..."
Spencer is the captain of his school's football team, and generally speaking, in high school, someone like Spencer would have priority in choosing a partner.
And it's the SVIP level.
The Alumni Day Dance is also a great day for confessions of love. Students who want to invite others should take action as early as after the School Opening. Generally speaking, extending an invitation to the dance represents a form of confession.
However, the universal inequality tells us that accepting a dance invitation does not mean agreeing to be a girlfriend.
To formally confirm the relationship, an additional invitation is required.
"Oh, not Spencer," Tiffany laughed proudly. "I've made a cool friend, and I dare say, even Spencer isn't as cool as him!"
"Really?" several girls nearby asked in unison.
They weren't just superficially interested; they were genuinely curious.
After all, Tiffany is the kind of girl who has extremely high standards, and any guy who can catch her eye must be no ordinary person.
"Hehe." Tiffany smiled without saying a word.
She had put a lot of effort into preparing for this ball; the good friend she invited was a handsome young man from Britain.
The young man was not only handsome, but his fluent Oxford accent was what captivated Tiffany to the core.
In fact, most women who come into contact with English have a mysterious fascination with the Britain accent, especially the Oxford accent that represents high society.
Seeing Tiffany like this, everyone was very interested and wanted to see what kind of person this handsome young man was who could make the usually aloof Tiffany show such girlish longing.
As evening approached, Tiffany, who had been eagerly waiting outside, finally saw the handsome young man she had been longing for.
"Thomas!"
Tiffany waved to the handsome boy, and her classmates looked in the direction she was waving.
In their sight, a young man wearing a black hooded trench coat and a black bow tie walked gracefully from not far away.
The boy wore a white mask, obscuring his face—yet his aura was impossible to ignore.
No one knows where he came from, but his sudden appearance did not seem abrupt.
The boy held a bright red bouquet in his hands, the same color and type as the corsage he wore on his chest; he walked up to Tiffany and handed her Tiffany bouquet.
"You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen."
The boy spoke with an elegant and sexy British English —at least that's how his female classmates perceived him.
"In your eyes, I seem to see shining stars."
The male students next to him had already noticed the handsome young man Thomas, and after hearing his "strange" Britain accent, they all made vomiting faces.
In fact, just as America women are drawn to Britain accents, most men are not particularly fond of them, especially America, who are quite... sensitive to Britain.
A hundred years ago, it was one thing, but at that time, Britain's invincible navy dominated the world, and no one dared to challenge it. Naturally, the America did not dare to criticize Britain. Even if they had any opinions, they would only complain in private.
But times have changed. Since World War I, Britain has been in decline. In World War II, it was only thanks to our bloodshed that Britain managed to gain the status of a victorious nation. A few years ago, it suffered a humiliating defeat in the Falkland Islands (officially known as the "Malvinas Islands" by Argentina). Now, when America men see Britain, their reaction is nothing more than...
What a pathetic, down-on-his-luck wretch, coming all the way to Washington to beg for food?
Of course, even the most down-on-his-luck rednecks in Texas can't help but straighten their spines when they think of America's invincible army.
Tiffany, flattered by sweet words, covered her lips with her hands and looked at Thomas in disbelief.
"Thomas..."
She had only ever seen such a scene in her dreams.
"Let's go, Tiffany." Thomas's voice was calm and magnetic, and he looked at Tiffany with gentle eyes. "Don't keep our friends waiting."
Friends?
Tiffany assumed Thomas was talking about her friends and didn't think much of it. Instead, she happily took Thomas's arm and followed him into the school.
When Thomas walked into the ball arm in arm with Tiffany, he instantly attracted the attention of the vast majority of people present.
After all, Thomas was just too conspicuous—a black trench coat and a white mask made him hard not to leave a deep impression.
Thomas remained unmoved by the stares; he seemed to have long been accustomed to such attention.
The two of them walked across the dance floor and arrived at the dining area to take their seats.
Thomas didn't rush to sit down, but instead looked around with a deep gaze.
"What are you looking at, Thomas?" Tiffany asked with concern.
"It's nothing." Thomas smiled, but Tiffany could only see a slight change in Thomas's eyes through the mask.
Before Tiffany could say anything, her friends came over from a short distance away and sat down around the table.
"Sir, are you really...?" one of the girls asked, cupping her hands around her heart.
But the question was only half asked. You can't exactly ask someone about their accent right in front of them, can you?
Even the most clueless American sweetheart would find this incredibly impolite.
"If you think so." Thomas's voice was magnetic and had a very traditional Oxford accent.
Tiffany's friends immediately screamed; to them, the accent was just too sexy.
Of course, even Thomas, one of the people involved, couldn't quite understand their thought process.
Why scream when you're just saying one sentence?
—Don't you think it's a bit too early to scream now?
They surrounded Thomas, asking him all sorts of questions, and Thomas patiently answered them one by one.
Soon after, the waiters came to the Great Hall and served food to each table.
Only then did the girls reluctantly return to their seats.
Thomas didn't seem to care much about the food in front of him; he was just looking around at his surroundings, as if he were very interested in his world.
"Why aren't you eating, Thomas?" Tiffany asked with a smile.
"I've been on a diet lately," Thomas replied gently.
"You have a great figure, Thomas," Tiffany said with a fangirl look. "You don't need to torture yourself by dieting."
She was, of course, a huge fan of Thomas —in fact, Thomas's knowledge, his life experience, and even the little magic tricks he occasionally displayed all made Tiffany fall deeply in love with the young man.
Before Thomas could speak, the music filled the entire Great Hall.
At the same time, more than a dozen men dressed in black robes walked in from outside.
Their outfits looked completely out of place at the ball; they resembled styles from decades ago.
After entering the Great Hall, these people went straight towards Thomas.
The young men and women who had initially intended to step onto the dance floor upon hearing the music stopped in their tracks and turned to look in the direction of these men in black who appeared to be hostile.
At the same time, Thomas put one hand inside his robe and slowly stood up.
Upon seeing Thomas's actions, the surrounding students were stunned and lost all interest in watching the spectacle, quickly moving aside.
This is the profound experience of veteran players in the shooting game server.
Even though they had only been in high school for two years, they knew that shooting was no joke.
Having been exposed to this from childhood and through the teachings of some people who wish to remain anonymous, everyone knows what this gesture represents.
Generally speaking, if you put your hand inside a trench coat, it basically means there's something with a caliber inside.
However, just as they were watching Thomas's hand movements closely and slowly backing away, they saw Thomas pull a small wooden stick out of his pocket.
This surprised everyone.
I thought Thomas would pull out a Glock 17, or an FN57, or at the very least an M1911—but that's what he pulled out.
What kind of harm can a small wooden stick cause?
"You are surrounded, sir."
The man in the trench coat who was leading the group said this, but he didn't look at the crowd around him as he spoke, as if they were some small animals watching and had nothing to do with him.
Of course they knew the identity of this "unknown gentleman" in front of them, but they simply refused to believe it—everyone knew that Voldemort, who once dominated the British wizarding world, was dead, utterly annihilated by a one-year-old baby. They simply refused to believe that Scamander, who had recently come to the American Ministry of Magic to give orders, was just exaggerating.
Who knows if that was Britain conspiracy to take over the American wizarding world?
But this unknown man is indeed enough to give the American Ministry of Magic a headache, after all, he has caused quite a stir in the America in recent years.
First, they slaughtered some Magical Creatures, then they carried out a mysterious sacrificial ritual, and then they massacred Muggle in various major cities...
They tracked Voldemort all the way to San Diego.
Fortunately, this time, they finally arrived at the scene before the mysterious man went on a killing spree.
It's never too late!
He's just Dark Wizard who takes a heavy hit against Muggle!
"Well, so the self-proclaimed righteous Auror have finally arrived?" Thomas said leisurely. "Should I drop this wand and beg for your forgiveness, Auror?"
"We'll give you a quick death, sir," said the leading Auror. "That's the greatest mercy we can show you after all the crimes you've committed!"
A magic wand?
Auror?
What are all these things?
The Muggle boys, who knew nothing of magic and the existence of the wizarding world, looked at each other in bewilderment, wondering what kind of riddle they were talking about.
"I hope your words match your abilities."
After saying that, Thomas snapped his fingers.
A sudden gust of wind appeared in front of the leading Auror, causing him to stagger backward.
But those around him couldn't feel even a wisp of wind. To them, the Auror just grinned as if he were being ravaged by a gale...
They thought, "Their acting is really good."
After all, they were battle- Auror, and given that gunfights were a daily occurrence in the free United States, their training enabled them to quickly use Charms to retaliate.
However, these Auror were no match for Thomas.
Crimson light flew from the wands in the Auror ' hands, striking the invisible shield surrounding Thomas and creating ripples.
"Cool!" the surrounding students shouted. "What is that? It's so cool! Is it some kind of latest high-tech gadget?"
They might have a keen sense for gunfights, but ordinary Muggle have never seen magic and are completely unaware of these unknown dangers.
Thomas remained unmoved. He didn't speak, but simply used an invisible barrier to easily deflect the Auror ' Charms and deflect them, which then struck the onlookers.
Some people, under the Charms, fall asleep without a sound; others suddenly find their wine glasses flying out of their hands; still others, after being under the Charms, are sent flying far away as if they had been hit head-on by a speeding truck.
At this moment, the students in the Great Hall also realized something was wrong. They scattered and shouted, trying to escape, but found that they could not leave the Great Hall at all.
"Thomas..." Tiffany looked at Thomas with some fear. She didn't know who this person was, but her intuition told her that this person must be a legendary terrorist, even more terrifying than Otto Cole.
Of course, I learned this name in history class yesterday.
Thomas did not answer him. Instead, he reached out and spun around, returning all the colorful Charms that were being fired at him to the Auror who were attacking him.
The Auror were also highly skilled; they blocked the Charms they had unleashed and even had the capacity to retaliate.
Thomas flicked his wand, pointing it at the group of Auror.
"Expelliarmus (Disarming Charm)!"
The wands of the closest Auror flew out and spun behind Thomas.
This isn't Disarming Charm Lightning Chain, but rather a characteristic of the Disarming Charm Charms itself; it can achieve area-of-effect disarming as long as the targets are close enough.
"Avada Kedavra!"
Thomas's wand head emitted a ghastly green light, making the entire Great Hall appear as sinister and eerie as hell.
One after another, Charms shot out, mercilessly reaping the lives of the Auror.
The onlookers didn't know what the Charms meant, but even the most clueless among them could tell that something was wrong.
Soon, only one Auror remained, the Auror leader who was single-handedly defended against the Gale Curse.
Thomas walked up to him, took off his white mask, and revealed his handsome face.
Before he could even speak, there was a loud bang.
A ripple appeared in front of him, and a bullet got stuck in the middle of the ripple.
Thomas turned his head and saw a young man holding guns in both hands, pointing them at him, but with a terrified expression.
"Sorry, I'm not..."
Before he could finish speaking, Thomas flicked his finger, and a deep wound appeared on the young man's neck.
Immediately, a red fountain gushed out from the wound. The man knelt on the ground, clutching his neck, but he couldn't stop the wound from spreading.
A high-pitched scream suddenly erupted in the Great Hall.
Thomas remained unmoved, picked up his wand, and began to reap the lives of everyone else in the Great Hall, one by one.
In the end, he kept the Auror was single-handedly defended by the Gale Curse, and Tiffany had invited him to the ball.
"No... don't kill me..."
Tiffany was already terrified and completely lost her composure. Only when Thomas walked up to her did she begin to stammer and beg for mercy.
Thomas lowered his head and gently touched Tiffany's head.
"I've always believed that the best should be saved for last," he said softly.
"You... you..."
Before Tiffany could finish speaking, she felt herself being flipped over.
Then came the sound of fabric being torn, followed by a sharp pain in my back.
"Ah..."
She began to scream, but it did nothing to elicit any sympathy from Thomas.
Thomas, wand in hand, slowly traced a mark on Tiffany's back. He seemed in no hurry to finish the design, but rather enjoyed the process of tormenting Tiffany.
At the same time, he flicked his wand, and a bowl appeared below the Auror's neck.
With a muffled groan, a deep wound appeared on Auror's neck, and crimson blood gushed from it, flowing into the bowl.
When the bowl was half full, Thomas beckoned with his finger and placed it in the center of the inverted pentagram pattern on Tiffany's back.
At the same time, the blood in the bowl began to boil.
"Speak to me—"
His hissing sound rang out.
"His youngest son!"
