Of Course, to Teach You Things Adults Should Know
Having glimpsed a corner of the future Veratia naturally knew what would happen, and she was fully aware of Old Barty's fate.
Veratia, living in a moral vacuum, didn't care how Old Barty would die, after all, they were complete strangers, and Old Barty even harbored a vague hostility towards her.
The most important reason is that Old Barty is blocking Sirius's path to progress, which is also the most important part of Veratia's plan.
The person blocking the way...
However, the others were unaware of all this, as they were all captivated by what Mr. Bagman. Ludo Bagman had just mentioned about "a big event" that would soon take place at Hogwarts.
Children are curious, even sixteen or seventeen-year-olds, like the Weasley twins, whose gossip is practically overflowing the screen.
"Is something wrong at Hogwarts, Dad?" Fred asked immediately. "What were they talking about?"
"You'll find out soon enough," Mr. Weasley said with a smile.
"This is classified information; we won't know until the department decides to release it," Percy said seriously. "Mr. Crouch is right not to disclose classified information lightly."
"Oh, shut up, Weatherby," Fred said, rolling his eyes.
Percy took a deep breath, intending to reprimand Fred, but found that the other had already slipped away.
When they were a short distance away, Fred turned around and made faces at Percy with George.
This infuriated Percy, but he was powerless to do anything about his two younger brothers.
That night, Veratia indeed stayed overnight in the tent.
Adhering to the principle of not spreading harmful ideas and not setting a bad example, when the tents were first distributed, everyone had a single tent.
Veratia gave Harry a suggestive wink, but Harry's attention was completely drawn to the noise outside the tent.
Around 9 p. m., Harry was bored in bed and was about to turn over to sleep when Veratia quietly sneaked in.
"Have you missed me?"
As soon as Veratia came in, she sat down on Harry's bedside.
But she found that Harry was breathing evenly and had fallen asleep.
"Harry? Harry?" She reached out and nudged Harry.
Harry didn't react at all.
There's an old saying that goes, "You can't wake someone who's pretending to be asleep."
Veratia reached out and pinched Harry's nose.
"Hahaha..." Harry laughed as he got up. He had done it on purpose to see how Veratia would react.
"Heh." Veratia narrowed her eyes and tugged at Harry's cheeks from side to side.
Harry swung his arms a couple of times, but seeing that he couldn't break free, he grabbed Veratia's groin with his other hand.
Veratia was stunned by the sudden attack.
She never expected Harry to be so direct, so rude, so... so...
That's utterly shameless!
The two remained locked in this stalemate until Harry rubbed it twice.
"Ah!"
Veratia exclaimed in surprise and reached out to swat away Harry's two claws.
"I said I—uh," Harry said, brandishing his paws, "Would you believe me if I said I held out the wrong hand?"
As he stretched out his hand, he seemed to still be savoring the moment, his fingers moving back and forth in the air.
"Pah!" Veratia spat at him. "Do you think I'd believe you? You little rascal—you've really been corrupted by that woman Cassandra!"
"How did I lead him astray?"
Cassandra's voice came from the side. Veratia turned around with her arms crossed and saw Cassandra standing next to her.
"Wasn't it you who led her astray?" Veratia looked at her warily. "Besides you, who else could it be?"
"Isn't this exactly what you wanted?" Cassandra waved her hand casually. "Also, I need to correct you, it's you who corrupted Potter, not me—understand?"
After saying that, she looked down at Harry.
"It seems I've come at the wrong time—well, I'll come back after Grindelwald leaves Britain, and hopefully she won't teach you anything unhealthy."
As soon as she finished speaking, Cassandra disappeared from the room.
What unhealthy things did they teach Harry?
Veratia had originally planned to leave, but after being provoked by Cassandra's words, she no longer wanted to go.
She turned her head and looked at Harry with a wicked gaze.
That look in his eyes... it was like he wanted to devour you.
"What... what are you going to do?" Harry asked, swallowing hard.
"Ha!" Veratia stepped forward, looking exactly like a criminal with ill intentions.
She yanked the blanket off Harry and said with a grin, "What am I going to do? I'm going to teach you some things adults should know, Harry, of course!"
The next morning, Harry was laughed at when he went out.
The Weasley twins, in particular, gloated and tumbled over the table.
Harry's lips were swollen like sausages, and he wouldn't have even noticed his embarrassing state if Hermione hadn't handed him a mirror in time.
"Merlin, did you kiss a bee?" the Twins continued to mock Harry, their voices trembling with rage.
Harry wasn't angry; he laughed along with the others.
Fortunately, there was ointment available, which promptly reduced the swelling in Harry's mouth.
"This is a lesson for you," Veratia mouthed silently.
Harry's mouth watered at Veratia's lips and he felt a little hungry again.
"There's still some time before the World Cup starts," Fred said, sitting in his chair with his legs crossed. "Shouldn't we do something? Or should we just stay here? I feel like as..."
Just as he was about to say something, George grabbed his sleeve and tugged at it.
"As proper spectators," George corrected, "We should familiarize ourselves with the venue beforehand, or rather—meet the athletes beforehand, don't you think?"
While speaking, George winked at George from an angle that Mrs. Weasley couldn't see.
The implication was quite clear—are you out of your mind? Your mother is right here, and you still dare to reveal anything about Weasley magical tricks?
Fortunately, Mrs. Weasley's attention was not on them, and with George's timely interruption, they were not discovered.
"I'll go with you!" Ron immediately stood up. "Come on, I want Krum's autograph too—"
"Let's go together then," Harry said, standing up. "I don't have anything else to do anyway, and besides, you might need me."
As he said this, Harry winked at Fred and George.
The two immediately understood and stood up, ready to leave with Harry.
Halfway there, George suddenly seemed to remember something and quickly ran back.
After they left, Fred put his arm around Harry's shoulder and asked in a low voice, "What's wrong, my sausage-lipped friend? Is there something you want to say?"
"I just felt like I had nothing to do," Harry replied in a low voice. "Since I'm just sitting around anyway, I thought I'd come out and find something to do with you guys... What are you planning to do? Let me guess—probably sell those Weasley magical tricks that make your mother angry?"
"Nothing escapes your eyes," Fred said with a grin. "So, how about we don't tell Mom about this? Especially not Percy, you know, that Percy guy..."
"So..."
Ron suddenly popped his head out from behind Harry: "Fred, you don't want Mom to know you're out selling Weasley magical tricks, do you?"
Fred sneered, reached out and pulled Ron to his side, then said to George, who had just emerged from the tent, "George —look at this guy, he actually dared to threaten me! What do you think we should do?"
"What should we do?" George grinned wickedly, pulling a fake wand from his pocket and gesturing with it towards certain parts of Ron's body that he shouldn't mention. "How about we shove this into Ronnie little darling's eyes? Oh, I mean the other one..."
"No!" Ron struggled frantically, but he still couldn't break free from his brothers' embrace.
After laughing and joking for a while, they called for people to move forward.
Only Ron and Harry, along with Charlie who loves excitement, came out with them.
Bill had some personal matters to attend to, so he went somewhere else alone.
As for Veratia, she returned to the Austrian Ministry of Magic's tent after dinner, and also "borrowed" Cassandra.
Cassandra clearly disliked it, but she still went with Veratia.
They walked through the misty camp, passing between two long rows of tents.
Most of the tents look unremarkable; clearly, their owners have put in a lot of effort to make them look as much like Muggle tents as possible. However, some have gone too far, adding unnecessary features such as chimneys, bell ropes, or weather vanes, making them look rather incongruous.
However, there are a few tents that are obviously enchanted.
In the center of the camp, one tent stands out.
It used a lot of striped silk in a very extravagant way, almost like a small palace, and there were even several live peacocks tied at the entrance.
A little further ahead, they saw another tent set up in the shape of a four-story building, with several corner towers next to it.
Further over there, in front of another tent, there is a garden, complete with bird baths, sundials, fountains, and more.
Harry watched as Draco walked out and waved at Harry.
"How about it, Harry?" he boasted to the group. "This is our tent, and look at that bathtub, it's for the peacocks... You know what? They're really dirty, especially their tail feathers. You could practically wash off two pounds of dust, I have no doubt about that... The water in that tub turns grayish-black, it's unbelievable..."
"But you still kept peacocks," Ron scoffed. "Perhaps deep down you just like that dirty look, don't you, Malfoy?"
"Shut up, Weasley!"
These words were not spoken by Draco, but by the Twins brothers in unison.
Draco burst into laughter when he saw the Weasley twins speaking his mind so in sync.
"What are you all planning to do?" Draco asked curiously. "The clone— Ron, Harry ... and who is this? No need to guess, it's definitely Weasley, but I've never seen you before..."
"This is my second brother, Charlie," Ron introduced Draco. "Charlie, this is Draco Malfoy, a not-too-annoying fellow."
"Hey!" Draco said irritably, but it didn't change Ron's mind.
After exchanging a few words, Draco was called back by Narcissa, seemingly having forgotten something.
"See you in a bit," Draco said to them. "I'm going to meet my dad and the Quidditch players later, do you want to come along?"
"Okay, but we need to sell their little gadgets first," Harry said to Draco.
Having agreed on a meeting time, Draco went into the tent.
"Let's go," Fred said to them.
They slowly moved between the tents, looking around with great interest.
It was morning, the sun was still orange-red, and the campers on the field were gradually waking up.
Families with young children are the first to get up, since children generally don't get much sleep.
A little boy, about two years old, was squatting outside a large pyramid-shaped tent, holding a magic wand and happily poking a slug on the grass. The slug slowly swelled up to the size of a sausage.
As they approached him, the boy's mother hurriedly came out of the tent.
"How many times have I told you, Kevin? You're not allowed to—touch—your dad's—wand—Ouch!"
She stepped on the giant slug, which exploded with a pop.
They walked a long way, and could still hear her shouting in the silent air, mixed with the little boy's cries—"You stomped on the bugs! You stomped on the bugs!"
"You two were like this when you were little," Charlie said to the Weasley twins, who were chuckling. "You were mischievous and loved to play dirty tricks, to the point that Mom stopped believing you."
"Ha!" The Twins exclaimed in unison.
They continued on their way, and every now and then they would see adult wizards emerge from their tents to start making breakfast.
Some glanced around furtively and lit the fire with their wands; others struck matches with doubtful expressions, as if they thought it would definitely not work.
"So what do we do?" Ron asked Fred and George. "How are you going to sell these wands? I mean—will anyone actually buy them?"
As he spoke, Ron picked up a fake wand made by the Weasley twins that was so realistic that it was impossible to tell the difference between the real and fake, and asked curiously.
"How will anyone know if we don't try?" the Twins said with a grin.
However, even after they kept hawking their wares until noon, no one came to buy the wands.
Left with no other choice, they decided to split up and sell the products, with each person taking a few samples.
Harry got five sticks and planned to try his luck at the Austrian Ministry of Magic.
He also put on a cloak, since selling fake wands... was a bit too public to do.
"Wands—Wands for Sale—"
He said in a low voice.
Just as he had taken a few steps, someone called out to him.
"Hey, wand seller?"
Harry turned around and saw a middle-aged wizard.
Almost instantly, Harry concluded that this was a Dark Wizard.
"Your wand—" The Dark Wizard cautiously looked around, and seeing no Auror nearby, he asked mysteriously, like some shady dealers on the West Coast, "How much for your wand?"
