Canary Cream Biscuit Battle!
Despite the professors assigning a lot of homework to fourth-grade students during the holidays, after the semester ended, no one had the energy to do any homework.
Of course, this excludes the papers Professor Snape assigned to his students; his eccentricities were well-known throughout the school.
Well, not exactly the whole school, but at least the students of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang have witnessed just who this professor, the most feared professor in Hogwarts ' history, really is.
Snape was not ashamed of this; on the contrary, he felt that being feared by the students of the other two magic schools was a very gratifying thing.
The number of people in the Gryffindor Tower was almost the same as before the holiday, and the tower seemed to have shrunk because the people living inside were much noisier than usual.
Everyone in the Common Room was busy releasing excess energy from their vacation and had no time to observe what others were doing, let alone pay attention to anything else.
Ron was obsessed with his Exploding Snap, but after being scolded by Hermione, he stopped playing them altogether.
The field of the Care of Magical Creatures was still covered with a thick layer of snow, and fine water droplets condensed on the windows of the greenhouse.
Explosions could be heard from time to time at the fish farm, interspersed with Hagrid's exclamations and Newt's praises—a compliment on the impressive growth of the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
Even in winter, you can still smell the strong and unique stench of the Blast-Ended Skrewt when you pass by there.
Therefore, the students of Hogwarts listed the Magical Creatures Sanctuary as a place that should never be approached, lest they feel like vomiting up their leftovers the day before—even if those leftovers were almost in their small intestines.
Nobody likes Blast-Ended Skrewt because they are not only grumpy, but they also smell bad and look particularly unattractive.
Although the Cthulhu Mythos is not very popular at Hogwarts now, some people are still willing to use Cthulhu to describe them, and Hagrid will take this adjective as a compliment.
"We have cultivated the Old Ones." After learning what Cthulhu was, he boasted to Madame Maxime with pride, even though she didn't understand what he meant.
However, Hagrid knew what was important and did not take Madame Maxime to see the Blast-Ended Skrewt.
Fred and George's Canary Cream Biscuit sold very well. Even though Young Lady Malfoy had monopolized the entire supply, the two of them were very resourceful and managed to replenish the stock.
In the first day or two of the holiday, people would suddenly grow feathers all over their bodies.
However, the Gryffindor students quickly learned their lesson and became very wary of food handed to them by others, lest a Canary Cream Biscuit be hidden in it.
George told Harry with great trust that he and Fred were developing another new product.
Harry warned himself that he should never accept anything from Fred and George again, not even a potato chip.
Fortunately, all of this is confined to the Gryffindor Common Room, so the professors are unaware of it yet, Gryffindor will not become Gryffindor for the time being.
Fred and George handled this part quite well.
It wasn't just the Gryffindor students playing with Canary Cream Biscuit; Cassandra was also preparing her wicked little plan.
Of course, it wasn't exactly evil, since it was just giving Veratia a cookie.
"I still don't recommend you do that," Pabbie whispered to Cassandra. "If Veratia eats it, she'll be furious—and if she chases you all over the castle, I won't stop her."
In fact Cassandra was initially undecided about whether or not to make Veratia look bad.
But Pabbie's advice had the opposite effect.
Snort!
Grindelwald?
Should I avoid her sharp edge?!
It's holiday time now, so mealtimes aren't as fixed as usual. Students can eat whenever they want, which is very casual and convenient.
However, the Britain have a tradition of afternoon tea, so Cassandra plans to start with that.
She also spent a lot of money to have the Weasley twins research how to prevent Canary Cream Biscuit from turning people into canaries. The results were pretty good; at least after George tested it on himself, he found that eating Canary Cream Biscuit would no longer turn him into a canary.
This was truly a cause for celebration, and Cassandra felt her chances of success were much higher.
Afternoon tea is a type of dining experience that takes place between lunch and dinner.
In the 17th century, tea was typically drunk after meals to aid digestion.
Beginning around the 18th century, the main meals of the day were postponed to between 7:30 and 8 p. m., and tea began to serve as a stimulant for the long afternoon between a light lunch and dinner.
It gradually evolved into the afternoon tea we know today. A popular theory about the origin of Britain afternoon tea is that it originated in the Victorian era, with Anna, the Duchess of Deford, often considered the inventor of the traditional English afternoon tea. What began as a personal habit of the Duchess slowly became an important social activity for the upper class.
By the mid-19th century, afternoon tea was no longer confined to the Britain upper class, but had become a national pastime.
"I've never really understood it," Veratia said, sitting in the office—this office was originally prepared for Newt, but Newt didn't like sitting in the office, so it had been left empty and unused.
When the old Headmaster, who wanted to please his sister-in-law, learned that she had nowhere to rest, he temporarily gave the classroom to Veratia.
As for the Board of Governors?
Hug, Pabbie is one of the school board member.
So the matter was settled naturally.
"What don't you understand?" Pabbie asked nervously.
She knew Cassandra's wicked plan, of course, but she was worried about getting covered in blood.
After all, Veratia didn't know her own strength when she touched the glass. "I don't understand why the Britain have this kind of pastime," Veratia said, lightly touching the glass with her spoon, making a clinking sound. "Is this what they call 'bourgeois decadence'?"
Generally speaking, noble Lady would not touch their cups directly with a spoon in the name of elegance and etiquette, as this would be considered extremely impolite.
But Veratia... she's a bit like Her Majesty the Queen today; she can drink champagne directly from a wine glass with her bare hands without being considered impolite.
"Can't you even control your appetite, Grindelwald?"
Cassandra snorted, her small hands, clad in white lace gloves, holding a plate filled with cookies.
She placed the plate on the table and reached out to pick up a cookie.
"Try it," Cassandra said, taking a small bite of the cookie. "It tastes pretty good, buttery."
"I don't really like cookies," Veratia said, holding out her hand in refusal. "You should know my preferences, Cass."
Just then, Harry walked in.
He had completely forgotten about Cassandra buying Canary Cream Biscuit from the Weasley twins. Seeing the cookies on the table, he walked over with a grin and picked up two cookies.
Cassandra slightly raised herself, wanting to stop Harry, but didn't know how to say it.
She was extremely anxious, hoping that nothing unexpected would happen—
However, to her surprise, Harry didn't rush to eat the cookie.
"Oh, there are cookies too?" Harry said, naturally offering one of them to Veratia's mouth.
If Cassandra had given her the cookie, Veratia definitely wouldn't have eaten it.
But Harry fed her the biscuit, so she reluctantly opened her mouth and put it in, while also licking Harry's fingertips with her little tongue.
Seeing Veratia's little tricks, Cassandra cursed Veela inwardly.
Harry casually popped another biscuit into his mouth, and immediately afterward, a bunch of golden feathers sprouted from him and Veratia.
"Hahaha!~" Harry laughed heartily. "These are the Weasley twins ' Canary Cream Biscuit, aren't they? They're quite peculiar."
He has a high resistance to magic, so he can still speak human language.
"Chirp chirp!"
The sound of a nightingale rang out, and Harry turned his head to see Veratia standing with her hands on her hips, pointing a spear at Cassandra.
She was clearly furious.
Cassandra laughed so hard she nearly fell over, bending over with laughter as she said, "That's a little lesson for you, Grindelwald!"
The magical effect came and went quickly; in no time, all the feathers on the two of them fell off, and they returned to their original state.
It wasn't until this point that Cassandra realized a problem.
She just forgot to take a picture!
Miss Grindelwald's most memorable moment was not captured!
"Cassandra Malfoy!"
Veratia's chest heaved violently; she was truly furious.
To her utter surprise, her best friend pulled this stunt on her—
"Don't be angry, don't be angry—" Harry reached out to pat Veratia on the back, chuckling as he said, "It was just a little joke. Besides, wasn't it me who fed you these cookies? If we're really going to get to the bottom of it, the responsibility still lies with me. Actually, I didn't expect this thing to be the Weasley twins' Canary Cream Biscuit. Gryffindor students have been affected lately. I just saw that this Canary Cookie transformation has become contagious."
This also happens among Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw.
"You're still going to protect her?" Veratia looked at Harry coldly, her eyes clearly filled with murderous intent.
"Oh, it was just a prank. What sisters don't joke around a little?" Harry hugged Veratia, nuzzling his head against her. "Be good, okay? My Veratia is the most forgiving of all—"
"Um--."
Veratia was actually quite angry, after all, being pranked like that once. But since the prankster was Cassandra, she felt extremely guilty towards her. "Hmph." She simply turned her head away, refusing to look at Cassandra. "Really? You're just going to protect your little girlfriend like that? Well then, looks like I'm an outsider."
"How could that be?" Harry said, touching Veratia's conscience. "You're my beloved Veratia! How can you be an outsider?"
This industrial saccharin is a bit unsettling; at least Cassandra has a disgusted expression on her face, while Pabbie next to her is incredibly envious.
Harry waved to Cassandra and then to Pabbie, signaling them to come over.
Pabbie ran over excitedly, then noticed that Cassandra hadn't followed, so she ran to Cassandra's side and pulled her over, the two of them pressed against Harry's side.
Cassandra a little uncomfortable, but she kept quiet.
"You are all mine—"
Before Harry could finish his heartfelt words, he saw Veratia suddenly leap up and grab Cassandra's groin with both hands.
"Ha, Cass!" she said angrily, "You actually dare to come closer—·...
"You—" Suddenly caught off guard, Cassandra was furious and ashamed. Her face turned crimson, as if it were about to bleed. She desperately pressed her small hands against Veratia's shoulders. "Let go of me! You shameless Veela!"
Cassandra's words made Veratia's smile suddenly turn somewhat sinister.
"I'm Veela?" she asked with a smirk. "Ha, so in your eyes I'm Veela— "
"Isn't that right?" Cassandra persisted, pushing and rubbing Veratia. "Let go! A real lady shouldn't do things like that—uh-huh!"
She suddenly went limp like a noodle, completely powerless to resist under Veratia's control.
Veratia's two beautiful eyes shone with an incomparably dazzling violet light, a sight to behold.
"Good children shouldn't watch this."
Pabbie watched the sisters' playful bickering with great interest, then casually covered Harry's eyes.
"But I'm a bad kid, right?" Harry reached out and brushed Pabbie's hand away. "I'm a typical bad kid."
You should know that, Pabbie- nee—.
"Hey, don't call me that!" Pabbie covered her face, her rosy cheeks looking like a ripe Apple. "Who's your sister? I think Cassandra is right, you're a shameless little brat."
Before Harry could say anything, he found Pabbie whispering in his ear.
"However, I like it."
Almost an hour later, Veratia finally let Cassandra go, satisfied.
Cassandra sat in the chair, staring blankly at the ceiling, her arms wrapped around her long legs, looking somewhat resigned to her fate.
"Oh, it's broken," Pabbie said.
"Heh." Veratia raised her delicate chin, saying smugly, "This is what happens when you offend me, you know? From now on, this is the rule of the Potter Family —whoever dares to challenge my authority, well— Cassandra will suffer the same fate, understand?"
"Understood!" Pabbie nodded like a chicken pecking at rice, afraid that his nods wouldn't be loyal enough and that Veratia would do the same.
"And what about me?" Harry asked, scratching his head.
"You don't count." Veratia rolled her eyes playfully. "As the current head of the Potter Family, this is your privilege..."
She suddenly leaned close to Harry, drawing circles on his chest with her hand, breathing softly into Harry ear, and tracing circles on his earlobe with her little tongue.
"Don't you think so, my master?"
