Gryffindor, Courage Above All!
Harry looked at his friends; he knew that a thriving tree couldn't be grown in Greenhouse.
The reason why Hogwarts students were so outstanding a hundred years ago was because the Magical World was full of dangers. You could run into several poachers or Dark Wizard just by going out for a stroll.
Seeing their eagerness to stop Quirrell, Harry knew that speaking up would be futile. Rather than letting them sneak off, he figured he might as well agree and at least look after them.
On the other hand, Harry also wanted to toughen up his friends, just like Sebastian others had toughened themselves up back then.
Blindly protecting them will only turn them into Greenhouse flowers, rather than towering trees that can stand on their own.
"This is Felix Felicis." Harry held up the small bottle of Felix Felicis. "I don't need to explain what the potion does; at the very least, it will keep you safe... Here, each of you drink a little and share it."
As he spoke, Harry used his Transfiguration to conjure four small cups, filled each cup with a small amount of Felix Felicis, and handed them to the four people.
"And you, Harry?" Ron asked.
"I don't need this." Harry winked at Ron.
After the four of them had finished their cups of Felix Felicis, Harry said again, "This is our Dueling Club practice, and I expect everyone to follow orders—"
"Understood, Harry," the four said in unison.
Harry nodded and handed the Invisibility Cloak to the four of them.
"Come with me, put this on."
The Invisibility Cloak were large enough to accommodate four people as they moved forward.
"Neville! You stepped on my foot!" Seamus complained in a low voice.
"Oh, I'm sorry," Neville quickly apologized.
Following the stairs to the fourth floor, Hermione pulled off her Invisibility Cloak, walked to the door, and whispered, "Look, this door has been opened. Quirrell is obviously in!"
A low bark came from inside the door. Hermione opened the door and had a deep, affectionate look into the eyes of the three heads.
"There's a harp over there," Hermione said, turning around. "Hagrid once said that Fluffy would—"
With that, she drew her wand, pointed it at the harp, and gently shook it with her small hand.
The harp emitted a melodious tune, and Fluffy, who had been staring at the outside world and making a whimpering noise, suddenly had all six of his eyes drooping and fell asleep almost instantly.
"Go inside quickly," Hermione whispered, not forgetting to continue conducting the instruments with her wand.
"This thing... won't wake up, will it?" Neville looked up at Fluffy with fear.
"Won't."
After Harry finished speaking, he went in first, followed by Ron. Ron went in second, and after he went in, he looked around the wall for a long time but couldn't find the door to go forward.
"Here!" Seamus waved to the two of them. Beside him was a Trapdoor —like the door of a cellar.
"Lumos." Harry stretched out his wand and looked down, but he couldn't see the bottom.
"Revealing Charm!" He waved his wand again, but still found nothing.
"I'll go down and scout ahead first," Harry said to the four of them. "If nothing's wrong, I'll call you down."
"What if something happens?" Ron asked.
"Then hurry up and call the professors over!" Harry rolled his eyes and jumped down.
As he jumped, he didn't forget to give himself a Slowing Charm.
He felt himself float down onto something soft, his bottom rubbing against something that seemed to be some kind of vine.
"Come down!" Harry shouted towards the hole that had just opened. "It'll be fine."
The opening in his field of vision was a spot of light the size of a fingernail.
"Ah--!!"
With four screams, his four friends landed beside him.
"You know what? When I was in the air, I even had the urge to strangle you!" Neville muttered a complaint.
"Honestly, it's a good thing we have this pile of plants here," Ron said.
"Thank goodness!" Hermione screamed, "Something grabbed me, oh my god! It's wrapping around my legs!"
After Hermione's reminder, everyone realized something was wrong.
Ron struggled violently, only to find that the more the thing wrapped around him, the tighter it became.
"Hah... haha..." Ron was having some difficulty breathing because he was being choked.
Harry secretly used a Charms to help Ron alleviate his pain.
He knew what kind of plant it was, but he wanted to use this opportunity to hone his skills.
"Don't struggle, Ron!" Neville suddenly shouted. "It's the Devil's Snare! The more you struggle, the tighter it will bind you!"
"Oh, I'm so glad!" Ron complained. "Now we know what this damn stuff is—what are we going to do, Neville? Aren't you interested in Herbology?"
"Sprout said..." Neville muttered to himself, then suddenly shouted, "Seamus! Set it on fire! This thing is afraid of fire..."
"No! It can't be Seamus!"
Ron only had time to let out a roar before he heard a Confringo beside him.
The Devil's Snare quickly dispersed, and the people landed on the ground one after another.
"See, sometimes I actually think I'm pretty good," Seamus said, beaming. "These Devil's Snare seem terrified of my Confringo..."
"If you could replace the Confringo with Blazing Flames, I would thank you," Neville said, his little face dark with anger.
Seamus just cast the Charms in Neville's direction, which made Neville the first victim of the Charms's explosion.
"Luckily, Neville has a great interest in Herbology," Ron said, somewhat relieved. "Otherwise, we would all be dead there."
"Alright, let's keep going." Hermione wiped her mouth with her hand, trying to suppress a laugh.
They walked down a stone corridor, descending the steps, and all that could be heard were their footsteps and the sound of water droplets falling.
"Did you hear anything?" Neville asked quietly.
"It sounds like a buzzing sound? Like flies." Hermione looked up and looked ahead.
"Let's go take a look," Ron said, taking the lead and walking ahead.
He is extremely confident now, perhaps it is the Felix Felicis that gave him the courage.
They came to the end of the corridor, where a brightly lit room with a high vaulted ceiling stood before them.
Countless tiny birds, as bright and dazzling as jewels, fluttered their wings Accio around the room.
Opposite the room, a heavy wooden door blocked their way.
"They don't look like birds," Seamus said, looking up. "They're keys... but which one is the right key?"
"The biggest one, look, its wings seem to be injured!" Neville exclaimed, pointing to the large key with sky-blue wings.
Ron and Hermione searched the floor and found the flying broomstick next to the door.
"Harry!" Ron pointed excitedly at the broom. "You're the Seeker, it's your time to shine!"
Harry said "Oh," and raised his wand, pointing it at the large key that was flapping its wings.
"Accio!"
The giant key flapped its wings weakly, but it could not break free from the Charms's pull.
Harry grabbed the keys and raised an eyebrow at Ron.
"Sometimes... the Seeker doesn't really need a flying broomstick."
