Don't Think the Worst of Your Professors
Harry raised his head for only a moment before lowering it again.
Go tell Dumbledore?
Almost instantly, Harry gave up on the idea.
Now Voldemort is barely clinging to life, attaching himself to the backs of other people's heads and surviving only by drinking Unicorn Blood...
If Voldemort can't even be defeated in this state, then all that training he received from Cassandra and Veratia a hundred years ago was for nothing. He should just drop out of school and go to Stonewall High School to be a proper Muggle.
but...
Harry decided to wait until Quirrell went to the fourth floor to steal the Philosopher's Stone from Fluffy before making his move.
This way, they can legitimately borrow the Philosopher's Stone.
If you use some Minor Curses in front of your classmates at school, even if they are harmless, they can still be a little scary.
He quietly suppressed this thought and continued to listen to Quirrell's lecture with his head down.
When they returned to the Common Room that evening, Ron asked in a low voice, "What's wrong, buddy? You've suddenly become very attentive in class, which is unusual for you."
That's not wrong, after all, Quirrell usually stutters when he lectures, and the lecture content is almost non-existent, so the hypnotic effect is excellent.
Not to mention Gryffindor, even Ravenclaw couldn't muster any interest in the lectures, classifying Defense Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic as equal.
"Quirrell is suspicious," Harry said to Ron, sitting on the sofa. "I just found out too."
"Really?" Hermione leaned closer and whispered, "No wonder he took so long off, Harry. What did you find out?"
"Do you remember when I said that Voldemort was lurking in Hogwarts?" Harry asked Hermione.
Hermione nodded hesitantly. "Uh, I remember, but what does this have to do with Quirrell?"
"It was Voldemort who attacked Pabbie in the Forbidden Forest. When I chased him away, I accidentally left a mark on him. Today in class, I felt that little mark on him," Harry explained. "This means..."
"This proves that Quirrell is Voldemort, Voldemort is Quirrell!" Ron said with certainty, slamming his fist down.
"No, that can't be!" Hermione frowned, one hand supporting her elbow and the other her chin. "Voldemort attacked Miss Pabbie, which means he's extremely weak now, but Quirrell only looks a little pale, not that weak... I understand!"
Hermione slammed her fist on the table, excitedly exclaiming, "I know! That's why Quirrell wears that huge hood! If Harry's sense of the markings is correct, then Voldemort must be hiding under Quirrell's hood!"
"Uh..." Seamus was the first to raise his hand and say, "No way! I mean, no matter what, the Dark Lord is a powerful Dark Wizard. How could he be like a parasite, stuck to someone's head, wrapped in a scarf, and reeking of garlic? That doesn't make sense, does it?"
"A person as evil as him, who would even resort to attacking Unicorn, must be someone who would abandon all pretense of decency to achieve his goals," Hermione said confidently. "If that's the case, then the Philosopher's Stone is in danger. I think we should inform Headmaster Dumbledore!"
After saying that, Hermione hurriedly left the Common Room.
"She really is impatient, isn't she?" Ron said, raising an eyebrow helplessly.
A short while later, Hermione rushed back.
"Oh no, Harry!" Hermione growled in a low voice, "I just went to Professor McGonagall, but she said that Professor McGonagall Headmaster Dumbledore received a letter from the Ministry of Magic and has already set off for the Ministry of Magic!"
"Didn't you tell Professor McGonagall about Quirrell?" Ron asked.
"Professor McGonagall didn't believe me, told me not to think badly of my professor, and said not to say anything that would be detrimental to the unity of the school," Hermione said, covering her face. She had been really anxious just now.
Harry sensed something was wrong. Logically, as the greatest White Wizard of the day, he shouldn't be completely unaware of Quirrell's affairs.
What puzzled him most was why Professor Dumbledore received a letter from the Ministry of Magic right after Quirrell returned to school.
Could it be... Quirrell's or Voldemort's scheme? To lure Dumbledore out of the school so he can move freely within it?
"We can't wait any longer," Harry stood up, touched the wand tucked inside his clothes, and said to Ron, "I should go stop his plot!"
As he spoke, he strode outside.
"Wait! Harry!"
Harry turned around and saw Ron following behind.
"You'll need a helper, won't you?" Ron said. "I'll go with you."
"I'm going too." "Me too." The other three chimed in.
"I need to remind you that this isn't a duel practice at the Room of Requirement." Harry glanced at them. "I'm going to stop the most terrible Dark Wizard of this century, Voldemort."
"I know," Ron said earnestly, "But we're friends, and I can't just stand by and watch you face danger alone!"
"Ron," Harry patted Ron on the shoulder, "I appreciate your kindness, but Voldemort is not a problem a first-year student can handle..."
"I know, Harry."
When Ron heard the name Voldemort, his body trembled slightly for a moment, but he quickly calmed himself and said to Harry firmly, "Harry, do you remember when you told me about Wizard's Duel? I was your assistant, and if you were to die, I would take your place."
Hermione chimed in, "Yes, Harry, Dumbledore had Hagrid set up Fluffy on the fourth floor. There's definitely more than one obstacle. With us here, we can help you get through it quickly..."
"Wait," Harry said to them.
Then he went back to his dorm room and took out the Felix Felicis he had been keeping in his closet, the Snape had given him for Christmas.
When he returned to the Common Room, his four friends were waiting for him eagerly.
"If you regret it now and want to back out, it's not too late," Harry said earnestly, standing in front of the four of them. "After all, we're going to be facing Voldemort soon, so it's not shameful to be afraid."
"The Dark Lord's men tortured my parents," Neville stammered, but his back remained ramrod straight. "Even for their sake, I cannot back down!"
"We are Gryffindor," Ron patted his chest. "We possess a courage buried deep within us, and it is our boldness and spirit that make the house so outstanding!"
