Ch. 910Advance into the Plateau

Rayne began his campaign to unify the Thane Plateau, sending troops from Qingtan City to seize the tribes around Tianchi Lake while launching a second advance against the powerful Dolak tribe. The chapter left the Dolak battle underway, with Rayne ordering Marius to capture the chieftain and finish before nightfall.

  • Rayne told Moserio to govern Osian and help unify the Thane Plateau, then showed him a Teleportation Array being assembled by Reslin.
  • Thousands of Saint Gun Knights and other Transcendent troops emerged through the Portal, and Rayne ordered Moserio to lead them in seizing the seven tribes around Tianchi Lake.
  • Rayne assigned Livlin, Kronuan, and Yizite to plan the attack, then teleported with Reslin to join forces advancing from the Astartes toward the Dolak stronghold.
  • Marius reported that the Dolak Barbarians' first cavalry charge had been routed and warned that another attack was coming.
  • Rayne ordered Marius to take the Dolak chieftain and end the battle before nightfall, and Marius commanded the troops to attack.

Ch. 911Provoking the Black Emperor

Rayne conquered the Dorak Tribe, provoked Balkor by destroying the tribe’s temple, and left Marius to rule and convert the survivors. Back in Qingtan City, Rayne upgraded Antimagic Field to Ninth Circle and waited for Moserio’s return.

  • Rayne’s forces crushed the Dorak Tribe’s resistance, captured chieftain Kashk, and killed thousands in the battle.
  • Rayne challenged Balkor to descend with a Saint Avatar, then destroyed the Balkor Temple with a Ninth Circle spell when the god did not respond.
  • Rayne declared that Balkor had abandoned his believers, and Marius ordered Kashk executed as the Dorak people watched.
  • Rayne returned to Qingtan City with Reslin, absorbed the souls of fallen Dorak people, and used nearly five hundred units of power to upgrade Antimagic Field to Ninth Circle.
  • Moserio returned to Qingtan City with the Legion before nightfall.

Ch. 912Kalanos

Rayne consolidated his rule over Osian Province, then helped turn the Thane Plateau into a thriving industrial city and met his younger brother Calody in Kalanos. As Rayne prepared to confront the plateau’s last unconquered tribe, Ansiwodoss reported that Iola’s Core was ready.

  • Rayne secured the Barbarian chiefs’ allegiance, inspected Osian Province, and appointed Moserio administrator before returning to Northril.
  • A year and a half later, Calody patrolled Kalanos, a rapidly growing city built by Dwarves, Barbarians, Trolls, and humans under Rayne’s rule.
  • Rayne secretly met Calody, praised his advancement to captain, and gave him resources and a Crimson Sun Fire Fiend Demon Soul to prepare for breaking through to Advanced Tier.
  • Marius told Rayne that only the powerful Mataki Tribe remained unconquered on the Thane Plateau, and Rayne received Ansiwodoss’s message that Iola’s Core was ready.

Ch. 913Iola's Core's Construction Complete!

Rayne learned that Iola's Core was complete, but Ansiwodoss accidentally activated it before it could be transported through a Portal. Rayne arranged to carry it to Gotham City by air with Ansiwodoss, Oruoin, Reslin, and Borchi, leaving the Floating City's completion still ahead.

  • Rayne celebrated Iola's Core's completion and told Marius that it would help the Extreme Legion become a complete force.
  • Rayne met Ansiwodoss in Wizerland, agreed to hire him to build another Iola's Core, and watched him activate the first one by mistake.
  • Rayne and Ansiwodoss realized the activated Iola's Core could not pass through a Portal, so Ansiwodoss offered to escort it to Gotham City with Oruoin.
  • Rayne prepared for the journey, summoned Borchi, and had him carry the sealed chest containing Iola's Core.
  • Reslin joined Rayne, Ansiwodoss, and Oruoin on Borchi's back, and the Golden Three-Headed Dragon flew north toward Gotham City.

Ch. 914Fishing Enforcement

Rayne transported Iola's Core toward Gotham with Borchi and two Soul Saint Wizards, while Anwella joined them briefly before returning to the Aix Combat School. Near Alber Bay, Oruoin proposed crossing the New Continent to confront Akeon, and Rayne agreed that Iola's Core could serve as bait for the Eternal Chosen One.

  • Borchi carried Rayne, Iola's Core, and the group north to the Dragon Forest, where Ansiwodoss and Oruoin visited the Aix Combat School.
  • Anwella reunited with Rayne and asked to join the journey, but Rayne sent her back to the school and invited her to see his Floating City in Gotham.
  • Borchi flew Rayne and the two Soul Saint Wizards across the Vitus Strait and along the New Continent's coast to the area near Alber Bay.
  • Oruoin proposed crossing the New Continent through Netherfiend territory to seek out and kill Akeon, the Eternal Chosen One.
  • Ansiwodoss urged the group to deliver Iola's Core to Gotham first, but Rayne said the Core could be used as bait to lure Akeon.

Ch. 915Chosen Champion Takes the Bait

Rayne lured a Netherfiend Archmage of Purgatory into revealing himself and used the encounter to draw attention to Iola's Core. As Rayne and Borchi flew toward the East Coast, Akeon and two Saint Tier companions intercepted them, and Rayne trapped them in Stasis.

  • Rayne and Borchi crossed Netherfiend territory under concealment and stopped to rest in a forest.
  • An Archmage of Purgatory discovered Rayne, broke the box carrying Iola's Core, and tried to seize the exposed crystal.
  • Rayne revealed his Soul Saint Wizard power, killed the Archmage of Purgatory, recovered Iola's Core, and escaped with Borchi.
  • The Archmage resurrected through his Flame Crest and hurried to report the encounter, while Rayne told his teacher and master that the big fish had taken the bait.
  • Rayne sent Borchi south and used decoy routes and Invisibility Fields as they flew toward the East Coast.
  • Akeon, an Abyssal Knight, and another Archmage of Purgatory intercepted Rayne aboard a Hell Three-Headed Dragon, and Rayne placed the world in Stasis.

Ch. 916Saint-Tier Battle

Rayne, Reslin, Ansiwodoss, and Master Oruoin attacked Akeon with a coordinated assault, but Akeon turned the battle around by freezing space and counterattacking. The Chosen Champion was killed, and Oruoin pierced Akeon through the heart, though the story left the outcome unresolved.

  • Reslin cast Time Stop, while he and his Mirror Images prepared Decompositions and Rayne transformed and charged a lightning spear at Akeon.
  • Ansiwodoss and Master Oruoin joined the attack, sending Fireballs and a cone of destructive light at Akeon and the Hell Three-Headed Dragon.
  • Akeon opened his eye and invoked the Four Abyss Gods, broke Reslin's Time Stop, and used the Crown of the Master to freeze space and reposition his allies.
  • Akeon sent the Hell Three-Headed Dragon, the Chosen Champion, and the Archmage of Purgatory to attack Rayne, Ansiwodoss, and Reslin, while he struck at Reslin and Master Oruoin.
  • Master Oruoin wounded Akeon and broke his control of frozen space, while Ansiwodoss's Fireballs annihilated the Chosen Champion.
  • Oruoin took advantage of Akeon's distraction, knocked aside the Regicide Sword, and drove his greatsword through Akeon's heart.

Ch. 917Four Gods' Blessing

Ansiwodoss invoked the Four Gods' Blessing to overpower his enemies as the battle turned desperate. He struck Rayne and destroyed Borchi's chest, but froze when he saw what was inside.

  • Oruoin fought Ansiwodoss at close range, holding him back while Ansiwodoss's fireballs filled the sky.
  • Rayne endured the Hell Three-Headed Dragon's breath, then used Thunder Slash and Lightning Burst Orb to destroy two of its heads and nearly kill Doljihara.
  • The Archmage of Purgatory cast Meteor Burst over the battlefield, while Ansiwodoss resolved to escape after Doljihara begged him for help.
  • Ansiwodoss summoned the projections of the Four Abyss Gods, whose power disrupted Rayne, Oruoin, and Reslin and temporarily overwhelmed the battlefield.
  • Ansiwodoss knocked Oruoin away, struck the invisible Rayne, and slashed through Borchi's chest before freezing at the sight of its contents.

Ch. 918Abyssal Blood War

Rayne and his allies survived Akeon’s attempt to seize and destroy Iola’s Core, but Akeon escaped into the Abyss after opening a rift to the Blood War. The group recovered the Core and continued its delivery, arriving at Gotham City.

  • Akeon discovered that the iron ball was not Iola’s Core, opened a rift to the Bloodflame Plains, and escaped into the Abyss as Doljihara healed in the blood mist.
  • Reslin stopped time to halt the Archmage of Purgatory’s meteors, and Rayne killed the Archmage, who apparently revived elsewhere.
  • Rayne promised to strengthen Borchi after the delivery, and Ansiwodoss identified the Abyssal battlefield as the Blood War between the Lord of Darkness and the Lord of Plague.
  • Rayne recovered Iola’s Core from its hidden location, and the group flew east toward Gotham City.
  • After flying for a day, Rayne and his companions reached Gotham City and saw the Statue of the Goddess of Magic.

Ch. 919Floating Warship

Rayne showed Ansiwodoss, Oruoin, and Borchi the Star Destroyer he had built inside a Demi-plane, revealing its weapons and dual energy systems. He explained that they would take it into the Material Plane by pushing it out of the Demi-plane.

  • Rayne flew north of Gotham City and opened a Portal into his Demi-plane, leaving Reslin to guard Iola's Core.
  • Rayne brought Ansiwodoss, Oruoin, and Borchi to see the massive metal fortress floating overhead.
  • Rayne demonstrated the Star Destroyer's thirty-two twin-linked Electric Light Cannons, including eight hidden beneath its armor.
  • Rayne revealed the Star Annihilator Cannon, whose full-power shot exceeded most Tenth Circle Spells.
  • Ansiwodoss noticed the House Augustus crest and unfamiliar symbols on the Star Destroyer, but Rayne dismissed their meaning.
  • Rayne told Oruoin that they would push the Star Destroyer out of the Demi-plane because Iola's Core could not enter it.

Ch. 920Pushing the Giant Warship

Rayne brought the Star Destroyer out of its demi-plane and into the wilderness by opening a planar passage and gathering the Extreme Warriors and Sky-Piercing Colossi to push it through. After the warship landed safely, Rayne summoned Iola's Core and invited the others to follow him for the final step.

  • Reslin opened an enormous Planar Passage between the demi-plane and the wilderness, where Rayne had assembled the Extreme Warriors and ten Sky-Piercing Colossi.
  • Rayne revealed the Star Destroyer to the Extreme Warriors and told them it would carry the Legion through the Void Plane and support them in battle.
  • Rayne grew into a fifty-meter Titan Giant, created ten mirror images, and organized the Extreme Warriors, Sky-Piercing Colossi, and Oruoin to push the Star Destroyer.
  • The group carefully pushed the Star Destroyer through the passage, and Rayne ordered everyone to let go as it emerged and descended safely onto the ground.
  • Reslin came through the passage and it closed behind him; Rayne called Iola's Core to his side and told the expectant crowd to come with him.

Ch. 921Takeoff and Strike

Rayne installed Iola's Core in the Star Destroyer, activated its systems, and took the warship on its first flight. After demonstrating its defenses, invisibility, and extraordinary speed, he set course for the Thane Plateau and made the Star Destroyer disappear through the Void.

  • Rayne led Ansiwodoss, Borchi, and the others through the Star Destroyer's heavily armored interior and explained its seven levels.
  • Rayne installed Iola's Core in the engine room, activating the ship's Rune Arrays and lifting the Star Destroyer off the ground.
  • Rayne brought everyone to the bridge and explained that the Repulsion Field protected the ship with strength comparable to a Tenth Circle Spell; Ansiwodoss named it Augustus's Deflection Field.
  • Rayne cloaked the Star Destroyer with an Invisibility Field to evade the Saint Gun Knights, then accelerated beyond the clouds and left them behind.
  • Rayne announced that the Star Destroyer was heading to the Thane Plateau, then used Iola's Core to send it racing through the Void.

Ch. 922Mataki Tribe

Rayne used the Star Destroyer to gather troops from Kalanos and the King Kong Fortress, then launched an attack on the Mataki Tribe. As the ship approached Bakharu, a Saint Tier Barbarian led more than a thousand Venom Drake riders into the air to confront it.

  • Rayne revealed that the Star Destroyer used Otherworld Teleportation and traveled through the Sunset Plane to reach the Thane Plateau.
  • Rayne ordered Kastaggin and McGonagall to assemble two thousand Dwarves and two thousand Barbarians in Kalanos, then brought them aboard the Star Destroyer.
  • Rayne picked up four companies of Extreme Warriors and two thousand Saint Gun Knights at the King Kong Fortress.
  • Rayne took the assembled army north and brought the Star Destroyer out of the void near Bakharu, the Mataki Tribe's city.
  • A Saint Tier Barbarian led more than a thousand Venom Drake riders from the surrounding mountains toward the Star Destroyer.

Ch. 923Artillery Barrage

Rayne used the Star Destroyer’s Electric Light Cannons to devastate Kaimansh’s wyvern cavalry as they approached Bakharu. Kaimansh survived by using a Dragon Priest Mask and teleported above the Star Destroyer, charging toward its bridge.

  • Marius identified Kaimansh as the Mataki Tribe’s powerful chieftain, while Rayne dismissed him as not very bright.
  • As the Mataki wyvern cavalry charged, Rayne charged the Star Destroyer’s secondary cannons and fired a bombardment volley that killed over seventy percent of them, including Kaimansh’s Green Dragon.
  • Rayne switched the cannons to rapid-fire mode and wiped out the remaining Venom Drakes, throwing Bakharu into panic.
  • Kaimansh emerged alive from the Green Dragon’s remains wearing a Dragon Priest Mask and transformed into a half-human, half-Dragon form.
  • Kaimansh evaded the cannons by teleporting above the Star Destroyer and charged toward the bridge, while Rayne calmly continued operating the controls.

Ch. 924King of Green Dragons

Rayne and the Star Destroyer destroyed Kaimansh and advanced on Bakharu, where Rayne discovered the Mataki High Priest Agnes was summoning Deep Azure. Deep Azure emerged from the portal and was struck by the Star Destroyer’s main cannon, but a misty illusion shielded him, leaving the battle unresolved.

  • Kaimansh attacked the Star Destroyer, but its Force Field repelled his strike and its cannons blasted him apart.
  • Rayne took the Dragon Priest Mask and led the Star Destroyer toward Bakharu, where the Mataki Barbarians were trapped behind the closed city gate.
  • Rayne used the All-Seeing Eye to discover that the High Priest Agnes was an Ancient Green Dragon summoning Deep Azure through a teleportation array.
  • Rayne prepared the Star Destroyer’s main cannon as Deep Azure emerged from a portal beneath the Dragon Mother Temple.
  • The Star Destroyer’s main cannon hit Deep Azure, but a misty illusion shielded him as he cursed Agnes.

Ch. 925Demigod

Rayne and the Star Destroyer fought Deep Azure, the King of Green Dragons, and blasted the Demigod into a near-fatal state. Deep Azure escaped with Agnes using Divinity, leaving Rayne and his allies unable to stop them.

  • The Star Annihilator Cannon struck Bakharu, gravely wounding Agnes, whom Deep Azure had used as a shield before fleeing into the sky.
  • Deep Azure revealed its enormous form and attacked the Star Destroyer, but Rayne evaded its Dragon breath while the ship’s cannons battered its Emerald Illusion.
  • Rayne rammed Deep Azure with the Star Destroyer and fired its main cannon inside the Dragon, blasting away much of its body.
  • Deep Azure revealed its Divinity, shielded itself and Agnes, and vowed revenge against Rayne, Ansiwodoss, and Oruoin.
  • Reslin cast Time Stop, but Deep Azure resisted its full effect and teleported away with Agnes before Ansiwodoss and Oruoin could break its barrier.

Ch. 926Unifying the Plateau

Rayne let Deep Azure escape at Black Robe Duke Tuzray’s request, then led the conquest of Bakharu and the Mataki Tribe. With the last tribe defeated, Rayne unified the Thane Plateau and became its lord.

  • Tuzray explained that Deep Azure possessed an item tied to Willes Tower and had to survive because Tuzray intended to control it for Mother of Evil Dragons Tiasiss’s sake.
  • Ansiwodoss and Oruoin left for Demon Capital after Rayne warned that Deep Azure’s severe injuries would weaken it.
  • Rayne sent Marius and the dwarf and barbarian legions to seize Bakharu, while his forces crushed the Mataki people’s resistance and collected Deep Azure’s divine flesh.
  • Tuzray examined the Star Destroyer, identified its dependence on Source Crystals, and departed after saying it had inspired him to study Shell Ships.
  • More than a hundred thousand Mataki people surrendered, and Rayne’s forces destroyed Tiasiss’s largest temple in Bakharu.
  • Rayne’s conquest of the Mataki Tribe unified the Thane Plateau for the first time in the New Era and made him its lord.

Ch. 929Advancing into the Abyss

Rayne sought a new source of Source Crystals for the Star Destroyer and Power Armor after learning that the Material Plane's mines were nearly exhausted. He chose to explore the Abyss, and Marius prepared the Extreme Legion for a campaign into the 404th Layer of Sighing Wilderness.

  • Marius reported that the Extreme Legion had taken control of the Mataki Tribe and that nearly twenty percent of its people had returned to Gileman's faith, but Gileman had not delivered a divine oracle.
  • Rayne reviewed the dwindling supply of Source Crystals and learned from Solim that the Giant Empire had depleted most of the mines in the Material Plane and neighboring planes.
  • Rayne considered seeking Source Crystals in the Celestial Realm or the Abyss and asked Marius which target he would choose.
  • Marius chose the Abyss, arguing that it was an enemy while the Celestial Realm's races were nominally mortal allies.
  • Rayne named the 404th Layer of Sighing Wilderness as their target and told Marius to prepare the Extreme Legion for a long campaign while scouts surveyed the way.

Ch. 930Angel Among Demons

Reslin entered the Wailing Wilderness to find a Source Crystal Ore mine and encountered mysterious sighs and a vampire search for an escaped Succubus. He found the wounded Succubus hiding in a cave, and the Soul Eye revealed that she was both a demon and an angel, as well as a Holy Swordsman.

  • Rayne sent Reslin into the Abyss through Misty Mountains, White Kingdom, and Rainless Wasteland to reach the Wailing Wilderness.
  • Reslin heard regularly recurring sighs from underground but postponed investigating them while he searched for the mine.
  • Reslin infiltrated a vampire castle, copied its books, and used a map to locate the mine’s general area.
  • Reslin searched the wilderness and discovered vampires hunting for an escaped Succubus who had fought and wounded a Vampire Duke.
  • Reslin spotted the Succubus asleep in a cave, and the Soul Eye revealed her unusual nature and Holy Swordsman rank.

Ch. 931Succubus Holy Swordsman

Rayne discovered an injured succubus who was also a Level 19 Holy Swordsman, and decided to rescue her and offer her a chance to become an Abyssal Lord. He then dispatched an expedition aboard the Star Destroyer, which tore open the Void and entered it.

  • Reslin observed the sleeping succubus and discovered that her soul combined demonic, angelic, and mortal essences, while the Soul Eye showed that she was good and revered justice and Order.
  • The succubus woke, checked her surroundings, and examined a poisoned wound at the base of her wings before falling asleep again from exhaustion.
  • Rayne considered using the succubus instead of his own clone to become an Abyssal Lord, and decided he would rescue her and let her choose whether to join his plan.
  • Rayne teleported to the Thane Plateau and ordered Marius to prepare the Extreme Warriors and the assembled expedition for departure aboard the Star Destroyer.
  • The Star Destroyer crossed the sky under an Invisibility Field, then blasted open the Void and plunged through the aperture.
