Chapter Summaries

Rayne and the Star Destroyer rescued Elotisia from a vampire assault in the Wailing Wilderness, and Rayne treated her injuries and welcomed her as a Holy Swordsman of the Aurelian Empire. Elotisia recovered and began trusting Rayne, who had introduced himself as the Empire’s Archon.

• Elotisia, badly wounded and infected with the Blood Plague Virus, was overwhelmed by vampires after Tyrael did not answer her prayer.
• Rayne activated a Phase Beacon, opening a passage from the Material Plane and bringing the Star Destroyer and its Extreme Warriors into the Abyss.
• The Extreme Warriors slaughtered the vampires, while Rayne killed a Vampire Duke who lunged toward Elotisia and rescued her.
• Rayne introduced himself to Elotisia as the Archon of the Aurelian Empire and used scrolls and a potion to heal her, remove the virus, and restore her strength.

After leveling it up to level 10, he continued toward a Vampire Duke’s territory, where the battle brought level 11 within reach.

• Rayne destroyed an Earl’s castle with the Star Annihilator Cannon, then used the Star Destroyer’s secondary cannons and his legions to eliminate the surviving Vampires.
• Rayne invested the harvested Soul Power in the Heart of the Overmind, while Reslin and the legions searched for and killed hidden survivors.
• Rayne used a Vampire nobility register to chart a route through the Black Thorn Forest, then destroyed a Baron’s territory and continued north.

• Rayne created ten Rayne's Heavenly Soldiers while Reslin commanded the Star Destroyer through the destruction of vampire territories.

• Rayne brought the Star Destroyer into range and fired its main cannon, but Rusvant used the moat’s blood to shield the Blood Fortress from the first blast.

• Rayne teleported Elotisia to Northril, and she approached the Justice Temple to pray to Tyrael.
• Luspel and Milton recognized Elotisia as a Succubus, heard her identify Granvit as her teacher, and brought her into the temple.
• Luspel forced Elotisia to surrender her Arbiter Armor and Silver Holy Sword, then ordered Milton to take her to the dungeon.
• Milton told Elotisia that the Church planned to try and secretly execute her because she was a demon.
• Elotisia challenged Milton’s idea of justice, then disappeared from her cell as a Void ripple faded.

Rayne rescued Elotisia from the Justice Temple, and after she rejected Tyrael’s faith, Livlin welcomed her into the Radiant Church. Rayne and Livlin awakened Elotisia’s Holy Light talents and began transforming her into a Holy Blood Angel, leaving the blessing underway.

• Rayne pulled Elotisia out of the Justice Temple and told her to pursue justice in her own way, prompting her to abandon Tyrael’s faith.
• Rayne returned with Elotisia to Gotham, where she chose to worship Saint Giles and Livlin welcomed her into the Radiant Church.
• Livlin blessed Elotisia with the Morning Light Spell, awakening her Seraphic Divine Envoy power and raising her to the Legendary Peak.

• Elotisia awakened her angelic powers and Sacred Blood Bat Wings, then swore her life, soul, and everything she possessed to Rayne.

He brought Elotisia and Livlin to the Obsidian Tower to reveal the Dark Angels, a new Transcendent Legion intended to support her plan.

• Rayne persuaded Elotisia to become an Abyssal Lord, and she agreed to the dangerous mission.
• Rayne chose the vast, heavily contested Misty Mountains as Elotisia’s target and explained that the Star Destroyer needed Source Crystal Ore found there.
