The Scorching Sun Legion currently offered three types of mercenaries: "Martians," "Fungal Fluid Clones," and "Metal Dragon Beasts."

The spore-bred Martians were relatively the cheapest. Their standard equipment could be chosen between a mitochondrial gun and a restraint gun. The option that came with a "small flying saucer" had not yet been unlocked. Every Martian also possessed a mimicry instinct and could undergo fairly realistic camouflage transformations. While their mimicry would theoretically be dispelled if they were startled, if used well, they would undoubtedly prove highly useful at certain crucial plot points.

The mid-range Fungal Fluid Clones could be privately customized or produced according to standardized templates modeled after the Doll Unit. Their final strength depended entirely on the type of materials provided by the employer.

Incidentally, handing in rare genetic materials to the legion would also speed up reputation progress. The laboratory's genetic collection would no longer rely on Cheng Tian alone, but on everyone contributing together. The efficiency of expanding the collection would definitely soar, and Cheng Tian's problem would become deciding which genetic materials to keep among the limited collection slots.
