Chapter Summaries

Ming Jing rescued Konan after her attack failed to kill Obito, who escaped when he saw Ming Jing was there. Later, Ming Jing cared for Konan at home, where they discussed Konoha’s plans for the Five Kage Summit and Danzo’s nomination as Sixth Hokage.

• Ming Jing stopped Obito from stabbing the exhausted Konan and explained that Obito had survived her technique by using Izanagi.
• Ming Jing told Konan that Obito had gained the power needed for Izanagi by combining Senju and Uchiha power, and Obito left when he saw Ming Jing would fight him.
• Ming Jing brought Konan home, lent her a shirt, and cooked a meal for her.
• Konan asked whether Ming Jing would attend the Five Kage Summit, and he said Konoha was choosing a Sixth Hokage because the Fifth Hokage could not attend.
• Ming Jing told Konan that Danzo had nominated himself and that he had agreed, adding that Danzo’s fate was already decided.

After Danzo's death and the Five Great Ninja Villages' agreement to fight Madara Uchiha, Ming Jing was named commander of a sixth frontline unit and left Amegakure to gather his forces. Meanwhile, Nadeshiko Kaoru brought Nadeshiko Village shinobi to Konoha to support the coming war.

• Kanon and Qing Yan told Ming Jing that Danzo had died, the Allied Shinobi Forces had formed, and he would command the Sixth Frontline Combat Unit.

• Muson announced that Kusagakure would send two-thirds of its Grass Ninja to join the Police Force Unit, while Mui stayed behind to protect the Daimyo and relocated him with Muku and Ryuzetsu.
• Mugen and Muson chose to lead Kusagakure’s forces to the front, eager to face Madara Uchiha.
• Tsunade and Konoha’s leaders agreed the threat from Madara and Akatsuki demanded cooperation, and they discussed reconnaissance ahead of the alliance conference.
• Ming Jing learned that the other nations’ daimyō doubted the Land of Fire’s representation and suspected they wanted to use the Police Department as expendable troops.

• Ōnoki confronted Kabuto and Deidara, recognizing Deidara as an Impure World Reincarnation and announcing he would capture them.
• Kabuto sent Second Manda to bite Turtle Island's tail, and Deidara used an explosive Clay Squid to flip the island onto its back.

• Black Earth trapped Kabuto in fast-setting concrete, but Kabuto emerged from his mouth, knocked Aoba off the bridge, swallowed Yamato, and escaped with him.
• Kabuto told Black Earth that Yugito’s memories had revealed Turtle Island’s location, then summoned Manda and returned to Earth Dragon Lair.
• Ōnoki lured Deidara high into the sky, but a coffin appeared and took Deidara away before their techniques clashed.

As Gaara rallied the villages into unity, Ming Jing warned Itachi that someone else had mastered the forbidden jutsu and was controlling the revived dead, though he had only some leads on the mastermind.

• Sasori and Deidara argued after awakening, while Kabuto told Obito he would eventually control the revived fighters completely and could use some of their emotions to sow chaos.
• Kabuto controlled Deidara to create Clay Giant Birds, and Deidara and Sasori attacked the hidden ninjas with Clay Bombs.
• Deidara’s bombing struck Tokuma Hyuga, while Muta Aburame released more Kikaichū to interfere with the enemy’s perception; Deidara then used seeking bombs to destroy a concealed target.

The Allied Shinobi Forces struggled against the reanimated Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist as Kakashi prepared a plan to capture Zabuza. Haku appeared in the fog and condemned the shinobi for desecrating Zabuza's body, leaving Kakashi unsure whether Haku would fight against them.

• The reanimated Seven Ninja Swordsmen regenerated from the Allied Shinobi Forces' attacks, and Hozuki Mangetsu summoned several of their swords from a scroll.
• Kakashi coordinated a plan with Nara Ensui, Santen Yamanaka, and Maki to locate, restrain, and bind Zabuza in the fog.

The battle continued as White Zetsu slipped underground toward the rear, and Inuzuka Sen sent word of the threat to Captain Kitsuchi.

• Zuo Yang Kurama revealed that he had improved Mind Barrier: Crystal Wall and used his defense to resist Sanaburo Kurama’s Genjutsu, which killed several nearby ninjas.
• Zuo Yang Kurama freed Choza Akimichi from Sanaburo Kurama’s illusion and told him to leave the fight to him.
• Neji Hyuga and Hinata held their remote position against repeated White Zetsu attacks.
• Masamune Yagyu led the Patrol Officers in coordinated sword techniques that cut down successive waves of White Zetsu.
• Inuzuka Sen told two ninjas that some White Zetsu had passed beneath the defensive line and were moving toward the rear, then ordered them to relay the warning to Captain Kitsuchi.

Darui and his allies faced the resurrected Kinkaku and Gin, whose Nine-Tails Chakra and Sage of Six Paths' treasures made them formidable opponents. Atsui charged into battle and was struck by Kinkaku, while Samui attacked from the side.

• Darui confronted Kinkaku and Gin at the shore as they arrived with overwhelming Chakra.
• Ao reported the brothers' arrival, and A explained to Tsunade their history, Nine-Tails Chakra, and dangerous weapons.
• Samui and Atsui joined Darui, and Samui identified four of the brothers' Sage tools.
• Atsui burned away a group of White Zetsu and charged at Kinkaku, while Gin went after Darui.

Kinkaku and Gin used their cursed weapons to capture Atsui, Samui, and Darui during their fight. Darui realized their sealing rules too late and was pulled into the gourd, apologizing to his comrades as he disappeared.

• Kinkaku drew out Atsui and Samui's Word Spirits with Kōkinawa, and Gin sealed them in the Purple Gold Red Gourd.
• Kinkaku baited Atsui into saying his most-used word, allowing Gin to seal him, while Gin restrained Samui.
• Darui cut off Kinkaku's Kōkinawa-bound arm to protect Samui, but Gin then sealed her after Darui was struck by the severed arm.

• Shikaku used Inoichi Yamanaka’s mind-link jutsu to tell Darui that Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino were coming to reinforce him, but Akira Kurama redirected them to the Second Unit and sent Qing Yan to the coast.

• Chiyo returned to the shore and unleashed Lightning Style: Cloud Piercing Sword, sending a blade of lightning across the sea.

Qing Yan, Yami, and Mugen worked together to defeat and seal Kinkaku. Elsewhere, Sanaburo Kurama spoke with Zuo Yang Kurama about the Kurama Clan’s future before his reanimated body began to fade.

• Kinkaku pinned Qing Yan underwater, but Yami drew him away and fought him while Qing Yan prepared to break free.
• Qing Yan burst from the sea and grabbed Kinkaku, then crushed his Tailed Beast Cloak as Mugen sealed him into a bead.
• Sanaburo Kurama praised the strength of the Kurama Clan’s younger generation while talking with Zuo Yang Kurama on the battlefield.
• Sanaburo explained that he could only partly control his body under Impure World Reincarnation and said he could rest easy seeing the clan prosper.
• Sanaburo’s body began to glow as Zuo Yang assured him that the Kurama Clan would thrive under Young Master’s leadership.

Ming Jing and Jiraiya arrived at the Police Department’s failing front line and drove back the White Zetsu, but Kabuto Yakushi sent the reincarnated Hiruko and Junichi Kurama to confront them. Hiruko battled Jiraiya with his stolen kekkei genkai, leaving Jiraiya trying to escape the thundercloud attacking him.

• Ming Jing explained that the forest had grown from the bodies of slain White Zetsu as he, Jiraiya, and Itachi caught up with the wounded Patrol Officers.
• Jiraiya summoned Gama Hiro, and Ming Jing used Wind Style: Thousand Blades to overwhelm the White Zetsu and reinforce the defensive line.
• Kabuto Yakushi summoned Junichi Kurama and Hiruko through Impure World Reincarnation and ordered them to fight Akira Kurama and Jiraiya.

Ming Jing confronted Kabuto Yakushi through Junichi Kurama’s mind, but Kabuto escaped the mental attack. Junichi then fought Ming Jing on the battlefield, where Ming Jing revealed that his real body had been dealing with Hiruko.

• Ming Jing used Junichi Kurama’s mind to locate Kabuto Yakushi and trap him in a cave with holy light, but Kabuto broke free and Ming Jing’s consciousness returned to Junichi.
• Junichi, now controlled by Kabuto, used Five Senses Manipulation and Wind Style against Ming Jing, who observed that Rising Dragon Tornado could pierce the Wind King Barrier.
