Background / History

Clara arrives in a new world in the body and identity of the Belobog girl who was raised by robots. Unlike her previous body, Clara’s body is initially only as strong as an ordinary person. She recognizes that her own combat ability is limited and immediately relies on Svarog, the autonomous robot she regards as family. 73

After learning that the world-clearance condition requires either overthrowing the Empire or reforming it internally, Clara chooses revolution. Svarog’s calculations place successful reform at under one percent, while Clara believes overthrowing the decaying Empire offers a better chance to improve ordinary people’s lives. 74 78

Her first days in the Imperial Capital expose its corruption directly. After being targeted by traffickers and later deceived by Aria’s noble family, Clara witnesses their torture warehouse and resolves to oppose the nobles responsible for such cruelty. She saves the surviving captives, including Tatsumi’s friends Sayo and Ieyasu, with Abundance power. 78 82 84 85

Clara initially cooperates with Night Raid as a supplier rather than an assassin. In exchange for autonomy and rare mechanical materials, she provides the organization with automatons and joins its base as a logistics member. 89 90

As her production capacity grows, Clara decides that neither the Empire nor the Revolutionary Army should control the future state. She establishes production bases, creates a Mechanical Legion, and pursues a country governed by mechanical beings whose programmed principles cannot decay like human institutions. 97 98

After the conflict is resolved, Clara appoints a human clone created through Creation Power as successor. She transfers the highest authority over the Mechanical Legion and Creation Engine to the clone, then leaves the world with Svarog. 130 131

Appearance

Clara is a small, delicate white-haired girl with crimson eyes. She is often perceived as harmless or timid, an impression that repeatedly causes enemies to underestimate her. 73 90

  • White hair, including two loose strands that fall over her shoulders. 80
  • Crimson eyes. 131
  • Frail-looking physique, though her health is enhanced through Preservation. 73 74
  • Usually barefoot; she finds shoes restrictive and relies on Path-based protection while walking. 74
  • Commonly wears a sweet, innocent expression that contrasts with her increasingly ambitious actions. 85 91

Personality

Clara is gentle, empathetic, and deeply attached to those she considers family. She is distressed by violence and bloodshed, yet refuses to look away from suffering when others need help. Her decision to inspect Aria’s torture warehouse despite Svarog’s concern reflects her need to confront reality for herself. 84 85

Though outwardly shy, she possesses independent judgment. She can interrogate criminals, negotiate demanding terms with Night Raid, and reject the political plans of both the Empire and Revolutionary Army. 79 90 98

She is especially protective of people whose fates she knows may end tragically. Her wish to save Night Raid, Tatsumi’s friends, and the Akame–Kurome sisters motivates many of her interventions. 81 89 106 121

  • Can potentially reproduce Teigu if she obtains appropriate Super Danger Beast materials. 109
  • Requires equipment, engines, rare metals, and other materials for large-scale construction. 89 96

Svarog’s Protection

Svarog is Clara’s primary protector and the main source of her direct combat power. He treats her with paternal concern and acts immediately against threats to her safety. 73

  • Uses energy beams, missiles, mechanical arms, electromagnetic restraints, and defensive measures. 73 75 86 103
  • Can conceal or phase out of sight to avoid frightening civilians. 75
  • Defeats Danger Beasts, corrupt nobles, Security Force threats, and Esdeath. 75 83 103 117

  • Clara remains vulnerable when separated from Svarog or without prepared constructs. 73 116

Path of Preservation

Preservation greatly improves Clara’s physical resilience and allows her to protect others through defensive fields. 74 87

  • Raises her health beyond that of an ordinary person. 74
  • Protects her from Svarog’s electromagnetic miniature black hole. 87
  • Creates a protective field that shields Night Raid from Esdeath’s frost and collateral damage. 117
  • Path power affects Clara at only one-tenth of its normal exchanged value. 73

Path of Erudition

Erudition enhances Clara’s understanding of machinery, production, and materials science. 97 109

  • Allows rapid construction with limited tools and materials. 97
  • Supports automated-soldier development and industrial expansion. 96 97
  • Lets her overcome Teigu compatibility resistance. 104
  • Grants insight into metal synthesis formulas and Teigu replication after further investment. 109

Path of Abundance

Using the Abundance Light Cone Same Mood, Clara can restore severe injuries. 84 85

  • Heals Sayo, Ieyasu, and other surviving captives. 85
  • Heals Night Raid members injured during the battle with Esdeath. 117
