The Duchy of Dawn defeated Imperial forces at Rendili, Naboo, and Kira, then used its victory to prepare a forward base on Kira and threaten the Empire’s hold on the Hydian Way. At a public celebration, Tang Xiao refused calls to become king, even as his family and more than a million citizens knelt before him.

• General Trench used Rendili’s defenses and a flanking attack to damage Darth Vader’s fleet, but withdrew when the Empire’s assault became overwhelming and learned Kira had fallen to Sefrans Tann.
• Michel Anser’s Imperial fleet was lured into a trap at Naboo, where Sefrans Tann’s forces destroyed it and then advanced on Kira.
• Sefrans Tann’s forces crippled the Lusankya with super-heavy Proton Torpedoes, and its wreckage helped breach Kira’s planetary shield.
• Ling Liang led the invasion of Kira, where Alexia Ashford’s ant swarms and T-Veronica mosquitoes transformed defenders into monsters as Duchy of Dawn troops overwhelmed the planet.
• Kira surrendered on August 11, and the Duchy of Dawn began rebuilding its orbital facilities to make the planet a forward base threatening Chardaan and the Empire’s control of the Hydian Way.
• At the August 13 victory celebration, Helmut Zemo and other officials urged Tang Xiao to reject Palpatine’s investiture and become king, but Tang Xiao refused until the people had dignity and security.
• More than a million citizens knelt to renew their plea, and Adele Ulan, Tang Xing, and Tang Yun joined them as Tang Yun called out to his father.

Tang Xiao proclaimed the Kingdom of Dawn and launched a full-scale war intended to draw Imperial defenders away from Coruscant. Sefrans Tann's campaign weakened Imperial armies, but Operation Zero fell behind schedule, Darth Malthael withdrew to prepare against Darth Sidious, and Gillard Perine fought through a massive Geth ambush.

• Tang Xiao proclaimed himself the King of Dawn and launched a full-scale offensive as former Separatist worlds rebelled against the Galactic Empire.
• Thrawn lured Qiyala into attacking a transport fleet near Cam'co and severely damaged her main fleet.
• Sefrans Tann bombarded Fondor with the Novalith Cannon and built a stargate to hold Octavian Grant and Gideon Tarkin's fleet in place.
• Sefrans Tann secured Vogel planet and Qeimet Planet while Darth Vader drove General Ling from Planet Three and ordered the unfinished stargate destroyed.
• Tang Xiao reviewed Operation Zero's planned raid on Coruscant through The Nexus Route and considered postponing it because the campaign was behind schedule and only one Novalith Cannon was ready.
• Luminara Unduli secured Darth Malthael's support for rebuilding the Jedi Temple on Ilum and warned him that Darth Sidious remained a Sith Lord before an Emperor.
• Darth Malthael suspected that Darth Sidious was provoking a catastrophic Force Storm and entered seclusion to prepare to kill him within one year.
• Gillard Perine fought nearly ten thousand Geth warships, ordered three days of rest and resupply at Gler-Anselm Planet, and faced Admiral Mal-Tuk's returning fleet.

The Kingdom of Dawn and its allies fought major battles against Imperial forces at Ansion, Glee Anselm, Bilbrin, and Yag'Dhul, while Chiss leaders gained new weapons and Thrawn faced a surprise attack. The stretch ends with Darth Vader blockading Yag'Dhul and beginning a ground invasion as Sefrans Tann advances toward Fondor.

• Gillard Perine attacked Ansion, but Mal Tuuk's Commerce Guild Fleet arrived behind the planet and forced the Imperial fleet to withdraw.
• Mar Tuuk's forces joined the Malarian Alliance at Glee Anselm, where Darsana sabotaged Imperial ships before the ensuing battle forced Perine's fleet to retreat under attack from the Geth and Jedi-led fighters.
• Jerec took Perine into custody after the costly Malarian Alliance Battle, while Mal-Tuk prepared to probe Bilbrin and Shien Morabito brought Qiyala to meet Anita.
• Anita gave Qiyala two Aeria Drone Hosts carrying remotely piloted bombers, and Thrawn later faced them near Celwis after Egri disobeyed his navigation orders.
• Lin Nanyi's fleet and the Holy Advent Bombers devastated Thrawn's forces, while Dunn Vesex appointed Ozzel to defend Bilbrin against the Commerce Guild Fleet.
• Darth Vader led Death Squadron against Yag'Dhul, where Ling Liang's First Task Force fought to protect the planet and its Titan warship.
• Sefrans Tann declined to reinforce Ling Liang and advanced toward Fondor, while Vader blockaded Yag'Dhul and ordered landing operations.

The Kingdom of Dawn captured Fondor after Alexia Ashford’s brood overwhelmed its defenses, while the Empire’s attempt to destroy Yag'Dhul devastated the planet without ending the war. Thrawn then drew Mar-Tuk’s fleet into a costly pursuit across Imperial territory, leaving the conflict poised for a change in tactics.

• Sefrans Tann invaded Fondor while Darth Vader remained at Yag'Dhul, and Alexia Ashford unleashed her brood to break Fondor’s defenses.
• Hydra entered the Mother Nest and froze much of it, but Darth Lilim severed her arm and forced her to flee before the Kingdom of Dawn captured Fondor.
• Darth Vader detonated Proton Bombs on Yag'Dhul, devastating its cities and making the planet’s eventual destruction likely as the Givin began evacuating.
• Sefrans Tann and Darth Vader clashed near Ghorman, while Thrawn took command of the battered Imperial fleet at Bilbrin and ordered a withdrawal despite Mal Sikander’s objections.
• Aden-Lin and Second Sister stopped Mal-Xikande from arresting Thrawn, and Mar-Tuk captured Bilbrin after Thrawn’s forces evacuated it.
• Mar-Tuk attacked Palanci Planet, then found the Imperial fleet at Vakar and pursued it through successive engagements.
• Thrawn repeatedly escaped Mar-Tuk’s attacks and explained that the Empire could build cheap modular bases quickly, while anticipating that Mar-Tuk would soon change tactics.
