Background / History

Tianma was one of a five-person group that previously attempted the Time Dungeon's main storyline alongside another Ji Yan, Caesar, Jiu Ye, Catherine, and himself. The operation ended in failure shortly before completion, and each member received a different judgment. Tianma's punishment was an endless sequence of Tier 1–9 dungeon clears, forcing him to pursue perfect ratings before he could return to Tier 10. 1115 1163 1167

While repeating lower-tier dungeons, Tianma built his arsenal by capturing Eeries and sealing them in what he initially called a suitcase. His purpose was to return to the Time Dungeon with enough resources to create a path through its main quest. He remained haunted by the earlier failure and became fixated on seeing what exists beyond Tier 10. 1115 1215

During the events of 444 Asylum, Tianma appeared as a highly capable independent player. He revealed himself as the former White Chess Player [T], manipulated Liu Mubai (L) into disclosing prohibited Tier 8 information, and used the resulting rule violations against him. He also chose to aid Ji Yan after recognizing his connection to the former teammate from the failed main storyline. 710 722 723

Tianma first fought Ji Yan over the Bronze Mirror and his black box. Although the Brush Immortal beheaded him after severing his thoughts with Words Manifest Law, Tianma had prepared a Mirror World trap and survived through his feigned-death measures and Eerie resources. 702 705 706

After Ji Yan entered the Discarded Dungeon, Tianma used his Authority and a poker game to isolate him from the Time Eerie's surveillance. He secretly communicated through playing cards, exposed the Time Eerie's manipulation, and offered Ji Yan a route into the Time Dungeon. Their eventual alliance was built on shared objectives rather than trust. 1115 1117 1163

Upon returning to Tier 10, Tianma captured Ji Yan and the Time Eerie with the Eerie Prison Box, but ultimately saved Ji Yan through forced transplants of Tier 9 Eerie items. He then joined Ji Yan in pursuing the Time Dungeon's main storyline, repeatedly using Dungeon collisions and his prison's Authority to seize control of hostile areas. 1161 1162 1209 1210

Appearance

Tianma is a tall, imposing man with white or silver hair, usually dressed in pale clothing and wearing gold-rimmed glasses. His reserved appearance contrasts with the brutality of his methods. 702 1114 1209

  • Short white or silver hair, often parted to one side. 702 1114
  • Gold-rimmed glasses. 1114
  • Described as six feet three inches tall. 1114
  • Frequently carries a bizarre black briefcase later identified as the Eerie Prison Box. 702 1166
  • Has used Eerie transplants and skins to survive decapitation, lethal wounds, and loss of body parts. 702 1121 1173

Personality

Tianma is calculating, impatient, and intensely focused on efficiency. He pursues perfect dungeon outcomes and openly resents delays to his planned strategy pace. Even a three-minute delay is enough to irritate him. 704 710

He treats most Eeries as resources to be captured, consumed, sacrificed, or domesticated. His lack of concern extends to human Players: when Ji Yan objected that Dungeon fusion could annihilate train passengers, Tianma dismissed those lives as worthless compared with opening the main storyline quickly. 1115 1209 1211

Despite this ruthlessness, Tianma values capable allies and honors arrangements when they serve his long-term interests. He preserved his promise to help Kong Yi enter the Time Dungeon, provided Ji Yan with Eeries and information, and recognizes Ji Yan as valuable enough to repeatedly invest in. 1163 1170 1213

Abilities & Skills

Eerie Prison Box

Tianma's principal asset is the living [Rarest] Eerie item Eerie Prison Box, which contains the parallel Dungeon known as the Ferryman's Eerie Prison. 1121 1166

  • Captures Eeries through its prison space and confines them in cells governed by Order. 1161 1166
  • Uses the prison's Domestication Order to rewrite violent Eeries' underlying code and make them obey Tianma as their master. 1166
  • Can offset Order penalties by sacrificing captive Eeries; Tianma once claimed to possess 799 captives, each able to offset 1% of a penalty. 1117
  • Its Eeries may be released as combatants, sacrifices, tools, or emergency defenses. 1121 1162
  • The box possesses self-awareness and can autonomously deploy appropriate Eeries to protect Tianma. 1122
  • Its domestication and imprisonment Orders can fail when confronted by a force that disrupts Authority, causing captive Eeries to rebel. 1228
  • The prison's Taming Order can restrain Eeries up to Tier 10, but not reliably higher-tier entities. 1177

Authority Manipulation

Tianma is capable of using Authority to alter Dungeon conditions and impose Order.

  • Received an Authority from the Audience that enabled him to possess Ji Yan in the Discarded Dungeon. 1115
  • Uses Ferryman's Eerie Prison to disarm, imprison, and domesticate targets through Order. 1161
  • Creates Dungeon-fusion collisions by forcing his prison's Authority against another Dungeon's Authority. 1209 1210
  • Exploits collision-created loopholes to expose hidden NPCs and imprison or consume them en masse. 1210
  • His use of Authority can widen loopholes within the prison, leaving his own Eerie forces vulnerable to rebellion. 1228

Eerie Transplants and Survival Measures

Tianma reinforces his body with Eerie materials and maintains multiple means of avoiding death.

  • Transplanted a Tier 5 Hunchbacked Eerie spine bone onto himself, granting increased vitality and rapid healing. 702
  • Survived beheading because the Hunchbacked Eerie's spine could preserve his life. 702 705
  • Uses Eerie skins, including a Tier 8 Death Substitution Eerie, to replace fatal damage with a sacrificial body. 1121 1173
  • Can use further Eerie skins after suffering lethal wounds, including attacks from Lu Dao's clones. 1173
  • Consumed an Immortal Gu Eerie to gain temporary invincibility. 1122

Bronze Mirror

The Bronze Mirror is one of Tianma's key Eerie items and supports deception, trapping, and Mirror World manipulation.

  • Houses a Grudge Eerie with which Tianma communicates and bargains. 704
  • Can establish or access a Mirror World. 706 707
  • Its Eerie Privilege, Bronze Eyeglasses Born, was used as part of a prepared trap involving the Ancient House Eerie Old Man. 706
  • Helped Tianma conceal his survival after his apparent defeat by the Brush Immortal. 706

Information Sensing and Tactical Judgment

Tianma can sense Player information and is highly experienced at interpreting Dungeon mechanics.

  • Detected Ji Yan's Player information upon their first confrontation. 702
  • Understood the servility of ghouls and used that knowledge to gamble on the Ancient House Eerie Old Man's obedience. 707
  • Identified the rules, masks, NPC roles, and Authority limitations of the Time Dungeon well enough to guide Ji Yan through its main-storyline setup. 1170 1171
  • His vast arsenal is limited by his need to consciously operate it; when the Brush Immortal severed his thoughts, his Eerie items and trump cards became temporarily unusable. 705

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Eerie Prison Box / Ferryman's Eerie Prison — Living [Rarest] prison-type Eerie item containing a Dungeon full of captive Eeries. 1161 1166
  • Bronze Mirror — Mirror World-related Eerie item containing a Grudge Eerie and capable of setting traps. 704 706
  • Eerie Shroud — Prevented the Brush Immortal from fully writing Tianma's name and activating a lethal Words Manifest Law effect. 702
  • Tier 5 Hunchbacked Eerie Spine Bone — Transplanted into Tianma's body for vitality and regeneration. 702
  • Eerie skins — Includes feigned-death and death-substitution measures used to survive otherwise fatal attacks. 706 1121 1173
  • Satiation Death Eerie — Ordered to devour Eeries below Tier 7 and assist with processing captured targets. 1210
  • Burning Death Eerie — One of Tianma's deployed Eeries; later rebelled when the prison's Domestication Order began failing. 1209 1228

Relationships

  • Ji Yan — Initially targeted Ji Yan for Omniscient Understanding, believing the talent was essential to clearing the Time Dungeon. They later became uneasy allies against the Time Eerie and the Red Center Masks. 1115 1163 1171
  • Future Ji Yan — Former partner in the failed five-person main-storyline operation. Tianma considers the alternate Ji Yan's remaining legacy a key advantage for the renewed attempt. 1163 1167 1227
  • Liu Mubai (L) — Tianma allowed L to believe he could recruit him as a White Chess Piece, then manipulated him into violating rules and turned the situation against him. 721 722
  • Time Eerie — A major adversary whose schemes Tianma sought to expose and counter. Tianma deliberately used Ji Yan as bait to enter the Tier 10 Time Dungeon ahead of it. 1161 1163
  • Caesar — Former teammate from the failed operation. Tianma mocks Caesar's failures but helped recover his body because Caesar and the Spectral Tour Train remained useful to the main storyline. 1209 1215
  • Jiu Ye — Collaborator in the renewed main-storyline attempt; the two coordinated Dungeon collisions aboard the Spectral Tour Train. 1212 1215
  • Catherine — Former partner in a “tooth-for-tooth marriage.” Tianma is willing to kill her and seize her resources after suspecting that she has sided with the Eeries. 1227
  • Brush Immortal — A temporary adversary during the Bronze Mirror conflict. Tianma underestimated her Words Manifest Law, which disabled and beheaded him. 705 707

Story Role / Major Arcs

`444 Asylum`

Tianma enters the story as a dangerous, gray-haired Player carrying a black box and a Bronze Mirror. He confronts Ji Yan, survives their first clash through prepared deception, clears a side quest at record speed, and manipulates the White Chess side as the former [T]. 702 706 710 722

Discarded Dungeon and Time Dungeon Entry

Tianma gains Authority from the Audience, imprisons Ji Yan in the Eerie Prison Box, and uses a poker game to communicate privately with him. After revealing the Time Eerie's manipulation, he arranges for Ji Yan to enter the Time Dungeon, then follows through Door No. 4 after his Tier 10 restriction is lifted. 1115 1161 1163

Time Dungeon Main Storyline

Tianma becomes Ji Yan's guide and resource provider, explaining mask settings, Authority, the Omniscient Nether Gate, and the threat posed by Red Center Mask Eeries. He lends Ji Yan Eeries during combat and repeatedly prioritizes forcing open the main storyline over caution. 1170 1175 1177

`Spectral Tour Train`

Tianma hijacks the train by colliding Ferryman's Eerie Prison with its carriages, capturing or consuming Eeries and recovering Caesar's stolen organs. His methods severely damage the train and endanger its passenger Players, but successfully restore Caesar and carry the group toward the main-storyline trigger. 1209 1210 1215

Catherine's Haunted House

After the main storyline restarts, Tianma and Ji Yan investigate Catherine's amusement-park Dungeon. His prison's Orders begin failing under the influence of the second-generation Eerie Courier, leaving him vulnerable when his own domesticated Eeries turn against him. 1225 1227 1228
