Vol. 2Yichen’s Rise in Iwagakure
Yichen developed his strength and his disciples while serving Iwagakure through war, diplomacy, and village reforms. After uncovering new opportunities and securing the daimyo’s backing, he set out with Kawakita to meet the Akatsuki Organization.
- Yichen rescued Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan from Hanzo and Danzo, then led Iwagakure’s Eastern Army and trained his disciples. Kitsuchi and Purple Lightning exposed weaknesses in Yichen’s combat instincts and swordsmanship.
- Yichen killed Uchiha Island and helped the Akatsuki survive Hanzo and Danzo’s ambush. He led the Eastern Army, trained Kawakita, Kajiyamari, and Tomoko, and learned from a spar with Kitsuchi and Purple Lightning that his fighting skills needed work.
- Yichen fought Minato to a draw, studied gravity techniques, and trained his disciples while proposing trade as a way to curb wars. He rescued Natsuki, completed his Porcelain Release transformation, and warned Kitsuchi that Minato might attack the camp alone.
- Yichen challenged Minato and fought him to a draw before studying gravity with Ōnoki and Nagato. He adopted Natsuki, completed his Porcelain Release transformation, and urged Kitsuchi to take the threat of a solo Minato attack seriously.
- Yichen helped Iwagakure secure a ceasefire with Konoha, trained a new group of disciples, and continued developing his techniques. He accidentally absorbed Natural Energy inside the seal barrier and began turning to stone from unstable Sage Chakra.
- Yichen captured the Third Kazekage Puppet, helped Iwa negotiate a ceasefire with Konoha, and trained Ogura Saki, Matsutani Shinya, and Takuya. While extracting Chakra inside the Natural Energy Seal Barrier, he absorbed Natural Energy and began to petrify.
- Yichen became an Iwagakure adviser, advanced medical training, and took Hiashi Hyuga’s remaining Byakugan after Ao stole the other one. After securing the daimyo’s backing, he set out with Kawakita to meet the Akatsuki Organization.
- Yichen took Hiashi’s remaining eye after Ao stole the right Byakugan, then concealed his role in Ao’s death. He secured the daimyo’s backing after an escort mission and departed with Kawakita for the Akatsuki Organization.
