Thor: Who Else Can Lift the Hammer of Thor?!
Upon seeing Heimdall, Thor finally felt much more at ease.
If we were to ask who he was closest to in Asgard, besides Loki, it would undoubtedly be Heimdall.
Although this powerful guardian of Asgard never fought alongside him in any battle, he would always wait quietly for his return on the Bifrost and share with him any information he had seen.
Thor trusted him even more than Loki.
Anyone could betray Asgard like Skurge, but Heimdall would never.
But his smile quickly froze on his face.
Clad in black armor, Heimdall drew his Death Blades, and together with Sif, slashed at him.
Heimdall, why?
Thor quickly dodged the attack, his face showing an expression of unprecedented betrayal. He couldn't understand why this powerful being, who could rival Odin, the Allfather, would actually swing his sword at him.
However, Heimdall did not respond.
Unlike Skurge, who willingly surrendered to Hela, Heimdall, Sif, and most of the Celestial Palace Warrior were killed by Hela before becoming undead warriors.
Their bodies and minds were under Hela's control, and even if their Soul Stone wanted to resist, it was ultimately futile.
"Heimdall, Sif!"
Thor tries to awaken them, but Sif and another Asgard general have already charged toward the Warriors Three. His once trusted comrades have now become enemies, and he is forced to fight them; the hardship he faces is unimaginable.
"Damn it, what on earth happened in Asgard?"
Thor narrowly dodged another of Heimdall's attacks and attempted to retaliate, but Heimdall and Skurge were not on the same level.
Even with Peter's help, the two of them were instantly at a disadvantage.
Heimdall almost ignored the two men's attacks, mercilessly swinging his Death Blades, sending Peter flying, then snapping off a Black Thorns and piercing Thor's shoulder, pinning him to the ground.
"Ah!"
Thor screamed in agony; the curse on the black thorns was more potent than the Venom of a viper, making his wound burn as if on fire.
But he still gritted his teeth and wanted to attack Heimdall.
Heimdall turned his head to avoid the Energy of the Universe energy, then used Black Thorns to pierce all of Thor's joints, pinning him down in a bloody manner, as if he were in shackles and unable to move.
Only then did Heimdall slowly speak, "Thor, give up the fight and go to see the true king of Asgard."
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Thor glared at him angrily. "Asgard has only one king!"
"You're right, she is Hela Odinson, the eldest daughter of Odin, the King of Gods," Heimdall calmly replied.
He seemed to have regained some of his senses, or perhaps Heimdall had always been conscious, but Hela's power made this dead man involuntarily pledge his allegiance to her.
"What did you say?" Thor was stunned.
The same words have different effects when spoken by Skurge versus Heimdall.
"You're lying! That woman named Hela must have controlled your mind! Wake up, Heimdall! Odin only has two children, Loki and me! And Loki is adopted!" Thor shouted.
He absolutely refused to believe such a crazy statement as suddenly having an extra sister.
If I really did have an older sister, how could I have never heard of her even once in over a thousand years?
Even Hela's loving mother, Frigga, never mentioned Hela name.
Rather than believe such an absurd thing, Thor would rather believe that someone had controlled Heimdall and the others' minds, just like Wanda had once controlled those people.
That Hela must be an evil and dangerous Witch!
You're wrong, Thor.
Heimdall shook his head and sighed.
Odin's only biological son?
You're overthinking it, bro!
Odin had many children, and Hela was just one of them.
However, as a subject, Heimdall couldn't easily mention those past events, especially after Odin insisted on concealing the bloody truth of Asgard's past. The few people in Asgard who knew the truth also avoided talking about it.
Gradually, the truth of history was obscured by prosperity.
"That was before you were born, Thor," Heimdall said. "Back then, the Nine Realms were equal, and there was much killing and war between them. Asgard was just one of them, far from the glorious place it would become later, until Odin, the King of Gods, led his iron cavalry to conquer all the lands, and all the realms submitted to his mighty power."
I've heard this story countless times!
"But what you know is far from the truth." Heimdall shook his head; his eyes remained golden, and even though he was entangled by the death of the underworld, his divine power had not diminished.
"Odin already had a child at that time, and that child's name was Hela, the Goddess of Death! Odin's ability to unify the Nine Realms so smoothly and become the ruler of Asgard was inseparable from Hela's contributions."
"What?"
Thor's eyes widened in disbelief.
But his intuition told him that it was probably true.
"If that's the case, if I really do have an older sister, then why have I never heard of Hela?"
"Because he sealed me away."
A cold, clear voice came from within the piercing thorns.
Thor felt a sharp pain in his heart, as if pricked by a needle. He looked up at the sound and saw a slender figure walking out of the darkness with alluring steps. The black battle armor clung tightly to Hela's body, and the long cloak trailed behind her. The Death’s Crown was like a spider's spear, baring its fangs and claws!
Hela's appearance instantly silenced the entire Asgardian city. Sif and the Warriors Three also stopped fighting, Heimdall respectfully stepped aside.
Peter's Spider-Sense was ringing incessantly in his mind like an alarm bell rang for an electric scooter; both reason and emotion told him that it was best to behave himself at this moment.
Only Thor, even after being pierced through the body, still had the courage to look at Hela.
"So, you are Hela?"
"Where is Father? Where is Mother Empress?!"
"I can't wait to hear it, "Thor asked eagerly.
"He's dead." Hela walked over to Thor, sizing up her brother whom she had never met before, and said casually, "You look alright, much better than the other one."
She was very pleased that Thor had knelt weakly before her.
Submission forced by force is still submission.
Hela never cared about those trivial details that she was willing to do.
Of course, most importantly, Thor seemed much more capable than Loki, that greyhound. She could sense the immense divine power hidden within Thor, though it hadn't yet been unleashed.
Now that he wants to lead Asgard back to glory and make the Nine Realms submit to him once again, Hela also needs some help.
If Thor could follow behind me like he used to fight alongside Odin, everything would be much easier.
"Dead...?"
Thor seemed to have lost all his strength in an instant, kneeling there dejectedly with his head hanging low, as if he couldn't accept the outcome.
His worst fears came true.
Ever since he heard about the trouble in Asgard, he had been worried that something had happened to his father and mother.
He repeatedly told himself about Odin's power, but tragedy still struck.
An immense sorrow enveloped him like an icy sea, along with a terrifying rage and immense power within him!
Revenge!
Thor clenched his fist, lightning crackling at his fingertips!
"Dark Elf! Malekith! How dare you kill my father and mother!"
"Dark Elf? No, not Dark Elf, it's me."
A contemptuous smile appeared on Hela's face, abruptly extinguishing Thor's anger. He looked up in astonishment, meeting Hela's smug grin. "I killed him."
"What did you say?"
Hela recounted the past with a mixture of anger and nostalgia. "I once brought war to every corner of the Nine Realms for his ambition; I slaughtered everyone who defied him; I led armies to conquer every world that dared to defy him; I made Asgard the ruler of the Nine Realms! But what did he do?!"
"When the war ends, will he try to put on the act of a benevolent monarch?"
"To whitewash the truth and cover up his brutal past, he went so far as to seal me away for thousands of years!"
Hela said with hatred.
Thor's anger was extinguished as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over it.
"This is impossible..." he muttered to himself.
"Impossible?"
"If it weren't for me, why would the beings of the Nine Realms forever revere the King of Asgard as their King? Are they inherently inclined to be inferior? How laughable!"
Card!
In a daze, it was as if something inside him had shattered—his deep-seated perception of Odin, the King of Gods.
Thor was born and raised in Asgard during its most glorious era. From the moment he was born, Asgard was the most prestigious place in the Nine Realms, and he was also the most prestigious prince in the Nine Realms.
He never felt there was anything wrong with it, as if he had always been that way.
Asgard is like this now, Asgard it was naturally the same a thousand or ten thousand years ago.
In his understanding, the other nations, from the moment of their existence, were destined to serve Asgard as their master.
In all the stories he had heard, only Odin displayed the majesty of the King of Gods, and the other mortals quickly submitted to him.
What's wrong with submitting to the King of Gods, the Allfather?
But Hela told him that wasn't the case.
Odin never used so-called glory and mission to make others bow down; he simply used force to conquer, to subdue all those who did not submit to him, and to kill all those who resisted him!
Just like I was back then.
Odin, who was high above and spoke grand, lofty principles to himself, was essentially the same as him.
But this is not something a king should do...
"Thor, my brother, you and I are so alike," Hela said sympathetically. "We were both betrayed by him."
"What we were supposed to do was no different from what he did, but he sealed me away for a thousand years, sealed away your divine power, and forced you to live a pathetic life like a mortal."
"If what he told you, those so-called qualifications to be a king, are true, then he himself is not qualified in the first place."
Hela shook her head.
She felt a surge of joy as she watched Thor's faith waver.
The verbal sparring was very successful.
Once Thor submits, she can use Thor ships to immediately leave Asgard, teleport to Midgard, obtain more ships, or travel to the dwarven kingdom to complete the unfinished King's Weapon and regain the power of the Bifrost...
Then they split into two groups, one to deal with Malekith, the two-faced man, and the other to deal with the Underworld, bringing back their main force.
Next, the entire universe!
War!
It will never stop!
The same applies to death!
Hela's eyes ignited the flames of war, and she wanted to drag Asgard and the entire universe into the Abyss!
"Follow me, Thor!"
What Odin took from you, I can give you back! And more!
But Thor shook his head, looking at her firmly. "No!"
Hela was taken aback for a moment, followed by confusion.
"Why?"
"Do you still believe that old man's lies even now? I can show you the bloody truth hidden in Asgard— "
That's not the reason!
Thor shook his head firmly, his mortal body seemingly trying to break free of its shackles, to shatter the chains of Death Thorns, and to stand before Hela, the goddess. "Perhaps you are right... Asgard's glory never fell from the sky, and Father's words were merely a grand facade to embellish his shameful and brutal past..."
"Then why did you reject me?" Hela asked. "We were right!"
"We can join hands to recreate Asgard's greatest glory, and even surpass it!"
"Because I understand what kind of king I should become!"
Thunder roared within Thor's body!
T'Challa's words still echoed in his mind: Protecting the people of Asgard, that is the mission and responsibility of a king!
T'Challa joined the war for this reason, Loki lifted the Hammer of Thor to protect him, and there was also the Security Officer of the Galactic Plumbers, the King of Sakaar... All these figures flashed before Thor's eyes, finally settling on Odin's weary and disappointed face a few years ago, the moment he lost his divine power.
"Everything I've experienced has been telling me what kind of king I should become!"
"I don't know if this is really right..." Thor pulled out the blade that had been sucking his blood, lightning crackling, and a terrible cloud gathered above his head.
The Three Warriors and Peter, who were standing nearby, all looked delighted.
Thor is back!
That Thor Thor!
You're going to die, you black-clad bitch!
Peter thought that if Venom were still alive, he would probably be smugly cursing Hela.
Hela took a step back in surprise, her gaze fixed intently on the distant sky, a sense of familiarity washing over her. "You...?"
"I just know that what you did was wrong!" This time, Thor was no longer swayed; he raised his right hand towards the sky.
"Mjolnir!"
The call seemed to pierce through light-years, followed by a terrifying clap of thunder!
In the distant horizon, a blue light flashed across the sky like Xing Yi!
Boom!!
Mjolnir is here!
"Finally..." Thor's heart started beating, and then—it stopped.
Because the thunderous Mjolnir did not fall into his hands; instead, a dark shadow leaped up halfway and intercepted it.
It was Hela; Mjolnir felt as light as a feather in her hands.
"How... is this possible?"
Thor went numb again.
Isn't that wrong?
How can just anyone wield the Hammer of Thor?!
