The Other Perishes
Reina and Jennix exchanged a strange glance, not understanding what Daemos was trying to say. Just as they were about to ask, a portal suddenly opened, and Morlun's cold voice came through.
"My troubles?"
"You might as well explain yourself clearly, Daemos."
Upon hearing Morlun's voice, Brix and Bora, who had just been killed once, excitedly looked towards the portal. As the most powerful elder brother in the family, they believed that Morlun could deal with any enemy, including Ben.
However, before they could explain what had happened, their voices caught in their throats.
"Morlun, how could you—"
The Morlun before them was a far cry from the invincible figure they remembered. Now, he was even more ferocious than the three of them combined, with disheveled hair, rumpled clothes, and his body covered in wounds, as if he had just survived a fierce battle.
If he hadn't been standing alive right in front of him, carrying an unconscious Spider-Man on his shoulder, almost everyone would have thought he had suffered a crushing defeat.
"Morlun, who on earth could have beaten you up like this?"
"Reina asked in surprise, "Jennix asked, looking somewhat flustered.
Brix and Bora clearly remembered something.
"Could it be those Spider-Man?"
Before the two of them met Ben Parker, a group of the Spider Alliance guys intercepted Morlun in Multiverse portal, but Bora never expected that those guys would be able to push Morlun to this point.
"It wasn't them." Morlun threw the Scarlet Spider-Man he was carrying on his shoulder to the ground, a ferocious expression on his face.
He felt annoyed when he thought about what had happened to him not long ago.
That guy who calls himself Hell Messenger, and that giant robot are just cheating!
This isn't Spider-Man at all!
But soon, the struggle on Morlun's face turned into a cruel excitement. So what if he's Emissary from Hell? He's still nothing.
"How pathetic, Morlun."
Daemos casually put on a coat, then his gaze lingered mockingly on Morlun's collar. "Driven to the brink by a few vermin? Is this all you can do with Father's favoritism? If I had this, I wouldn't lose!"
Morlun's barely suppressed excitement quickly vanished, and he looked at his younger brother, who had been at odds with him for years, without giving him a chance to mince words. "At least I brought 'something else,' what have you accomplished?"
"Other things!"
The argument ended abruptly.
All the Inheritors present looked at the unconscious Scarlet Spider-Man with surprise and excitement. Bora was even more excited and somewhat lost in her own world. She had just been resurrected and hadn't even had time to put on her clothes. Her slender body trembled, and her face was flushed with a bloodthirsty rage.
"This guy is... one of the three things prophesied to end the existence of the Spider Totem?"
"That's right."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Brix stood up excitedly. "Let's proceed with the ritual! His life and blood will be the first step in ending Spider-Man!"
Don't be impatient.
Morlun bent down, grabbed Scarlet Spider-Man's hair with one hand and lifted him up, while in the other hand he held the Inheritors ' short blade, the blade cutting through Scarlet Spider-Man's skin and drawing blood.
"Father hasn't come back yet."
"And I'd also like to know what happened to you."
His stern gaze fell on Brix and Bora, and the two naked people immediately felt a pain as if their skin was being slashed by a knife, and they lowered their heads in shame.
"I entrusted you with another prey, and you actually lost it?"
It's just Spider-Man, which wouldn't normally be a big deal, especially since they've already obtained the key prey, making it even less important.
The key point is that the simultaneous deaths of all three Inheritors because of one Spider-Man are no small matter. This indicates that a threat has emerged, and it is closely related to the universe that Maltruant asked them to travel to.
However, when faced with Morlun's question, all three of them simultaneously showed a hint of fear on their faces.
Morlun was dumbfounded. Leaving aside Brix and Bora, wasn't Daemos always the one who acted like the eldest son, the second eldest? Why was he so subdued?
"What is going on?!"
Morlun pressed for more information, and Bora finally recounted the events of that day.
-And there's Spider-Man too.
"Even so, it shouldn't be enough to make all three of you fail, right? Daemos, although we've always disliked each other, I acknowledge your strength. If it were just an ordinary Spider-Man, no matter how many came, they wouldn't be a match for you."
"I can't believe you were killed."
"It's Nemetri, that Spider-Man has a Nemetri just like you," Brix quickly explained.
"Oh, is that so?"
Morlun raised an eyebrow. In that case, the failure of Daemos and his two companions was understandable.
As the wielder of Nemetri, he knew better than anyone how powerful this weapon was. Without it, he would have died at the hands of that giant robot long ago, let alone turn the tide and return alive to his family.
"It seems Maltruant has been hiding a lot from us."
Jennix, like a cunning old man, said, "I knew the task he assigned us wouldn't be so simple!"
No, I have to find him and get to the bottom of this!
"This was expected."
Morlun didn't care. Regardless of Maltruant's ulterior motives, they were the ones who got Nemetri.
Without Nemetri, he wouldn't have been able to obtain such a powerful weapon!
Now, Morlun dares to say that he will not lose to any enemy he encounters!
"There's no rush to find Maltruant; that guy will show himself sooner or later. Our priority right now is to deal with 'Other Things' and find ' The Bride ' and 'The Offspring.' Those vermin have already begun to gather and rebel against us."
"Although they are just insects, they inevitably contain some venom, and if their numbers increase, they will become a problem."
Where is Father?
Jennix replied, "We discovered that quite a few Spider-Man have gathered in Universe 13. Someone must be protecting Spider-Man in that universe, and Father went to hunt them down."
Morlun nodded, dragged the half-dead Scarlet Spider-Man to the Weaver Master, and plunged the blade into Scarlet Spider-Man's throat.
"Then let's begin by taking the first step to eliminate the spider."
In the foggy hours, the blood of other things stains the spiderwebs.
The future world of 2099.
After killing Daemos, Ben followed Miguel to the spider's headquarters in this universe.
"Perhaps we should leave one alive."
As the master of this universe, Miguel followed behind Ben like a big guy's sidekick. The Cyborg Spider-Man and Peter looked around at this future world as if they couldn't take it all in.
The group passed through the cells of the prisoners frozen in time, where both the Cyborg Spider-Man and Peter saw many old friends.
"Uncle Norman?!"
Peter exclaimed in surprise, his face pressed against the lens of his eye, an expression of disbelief on his face. "Why did you arrest Uncle Norman? He's a good man!"
"What a great head!"
The Cyborg Spider-Man, with its four spider legs tucked together, said irritably, "He's the Green Goblin, and he's never done anything good in my universe."
"Really?"
Peter was dumbfounded.
Just then, Norman the Green Goblin made a terrifying face at him; his sinister expression was enough to make a child cry.
Peter shrank back, creating some distance, but he still found it hard to believe.
"And what about him, Doctor Otto, a great scientist dedicated to using science to create happiness for people all over the world!"
"He's definitely a good person." He then approached a fat man, and Otto the Octopus angrily and furiously rammed his mechanical arm into the cage.
"Yeah, right. He's planning to tear me to pieces with his octopus tentacles."
Suddenly, a completely new Peter Parker appeared out of nowhere and answered his question.
Then more Peter jumped out, introducing him to the identities of the prisoners one by one. "Look at this one, Liz's ex-girlfriend's father, Vulture smuggling alien technology. Guess who he hates the most?"
"And him, my best friend from high school, Ned, the infamous Hobgoblin!"
"Little Green Goblin, guess who he really is? That's right, it's your childhood friend Harry Osborn."
"And Connors-- "
Peter: -.
"Okay, that's enough!"
He looked flustered and quickly waved his hand to stop the Spider-Man from continuing.
"It sounds like anyone who's my friend ends up in a bad way, doesn't it?"
Congratulations, you've discovered the truth!
A Spider-Man, brimming with emotion, grasped his hands, tears welling in his eyes, and said, "It's not just friends, it's also our family and loved ones, like Uncle Ben, and Mary Jane, Gwen... it's like we'll never find happiness, only our enemies will never leave us—"
These Spider-Man spoke with such emotion that Peter felt a pang of sympathy for them.
Brothers, I never imagined you guys were having such a miserable time!
His sorrowful expression made the other Spider-Man think they had touched a nerve, so they immediately wiped away their tears and began to comfort him, "You seem young, maybe you haven't experienced that much yet, but everything will pass. If you really can't let go, I recommend you see the best therapist here. Trust me, no one understands us better than him!"
He even knew my Uncle Ben had been shot...
Peter turned to look at Uncle Ben and Aunt May who were with him, then at the Spider-Man who were crying their hearts out, and for a moment he didn't know what to say.
Miguel, unable to bear it any longer, wiped his face and walked over, saying helplessly, "It's probably only you guys who need psychological treatment; this kid's Uncle Ben is perfectly fine."
He pointed with his thumb at Uncle Ben and Aunt May, who were not far away.
Spider-Man- Men: 0. o?!!!
"UncleBen?!"
Am I dreaming?
During the fog, all the Spider-Man- Men stared at each other, dumbfounded.
This also made Uncle Ben and Aunt May feel quite heartbroken, as their nephews had endured too much suffering alone in countless Parallel Universe.
The news that Uncle Ben and Aunt May had arrived at the Spider Alliance instantly swept across the entire Universe 2099. For a moment, the place was in chaos, like a celebrity meet-and-greet, with all the Spider-Man gathering there, just to see Uncle Ben one last time.
Even some Spider-Man who weren't Peter came over to watch the spectacle.
Ben even saw a dinosaur run across the ceiling and plunge headfirst into a pile of spiders.
"Feel sorry."
Miguel was also very helpless about this.
"Understandable, and Uncle Ben and Aunt May are happy to give them some encouragement." Ben and Peter both shook their heads and followed Miguel to the meeting room.
Spider-Woman, who was pregnant, was also with Ben, introducing him to everything about the world of 2099, including the rather lame-sounding "Homecoming Machine."
"The past cannot be changed, but you have indeed shown me the possibility of breaking free from fate," Miguel said solemnly to Ben.
"You prevented all the tragedies from happening, perhaps because of your watch. The Spider-Web Incident seems to have disappeared from your life. If we can make good use of this, then all the Spider-Man chosen by the Spider Totem in the future will no longer be tormented by fate."
"Of course, the most important thing now is to deal with the Inheritors."
Miguel did not forget the priorities.
He turned to Spider-Woman: "You said Peter B. Parker gathered some Spider-Man to help Superior Spider-Man, have they returned?"
"No, they went to Universe 13," Spider-Woman said, shaking her head.
He met the British Spider-Man, who insisted that Universe 13 was safer.
Upon hearing this, Miguel's brow relaxed, clearly indicating his agreement.
"What's in Universe 13?" Ben asked.
"A powerful warrior, Cosmic Spider-Man. In other universes, there might be danger, but in that universe, it's definitely not a problem. No one could possibly defeat Captain Cosmos in another universe!"
I don't know much about Cosmic Spider-Man- Ben, but from Miguel's description, it's clear that he possesses combat power at least at the level of a single universe.
This level of performance is quite impressive even for Little Broken Watch, so I felt relieved.
At that moment, Super-Kill, hidden inside his body, suddenly popped out a head, scratched his head, and said, "Captain Cosmos?"
Is it some kind of Enigma Force?
"What, you know about this?" Ben asked curiously.
"It seems there's something like this in the Symbiote's Hive memories, but it's hard to find—" Super-Kill pondered for a moment, then said, "It seems that thing fought against Knull in the memories."
That was indeed extraordinary.
Ben nodded casually. Compared to the Enigma Force he didn't understand and Captain Cosmos, Morlun and the Nemetrix posed a much greater threat to him.
"Are you worried about the Doom Annihilation?"
