Two Worlds
The next day, after completing a five-fold fold, Ben felt he was far ahead.
After all, his record of taking on 5 opponents in a 1v5 situation is verifiable.
The next step is to wait for the two Earths to enter orbit.
"Benny."
Norman Osborn suddenly walked over and mysteriously pulled him aside.
"Something's not right with the captain."
"Steve?"
"Back in the Beast Ring, we knew the Incursean Empire would attack us and made preparations in advance. Captain America was also aware of this, but when Harry and I met him, he was quite surprised by it."
"Hmm..." Ben pinched his chin.
"Skrull?"
"No," Norman shook his head, "Unless the Skrull ' genes have evolved, the instruments shouldn't be unable to detect it."
"Has he exhibited any other unusual behavior?"
Norman thought about it carefully.
"Although the captain is usually not very talkative, he's been unusually quiet these past few days, as if he's worried about saying or doing something wrong."
There are indeed suspicious points.
Ben thought for a moment, then turned the watch.
[Enter Capture Mode]
The watch turned yellow.
"First, we need to determine whether he was switched at birth or being controlled."
If it's the former, the watch will detect that the other person's genetic code is different from Steve Rogers'.
If it's the latter, nothing will happen.
In either case, Ben knows the answer.
He walked towards Steve.
"Team leader."
"Is there something you need, Ben?"
[Steve] said. There was always something strange about him when he spoke, like a fake person, no wonder Norman was a little suspicious.
"It's nothing, I just wanted to ask your thoughts." Ben was flawless. "If we fail to persuade the Earthlings from another universe to leave Earth, we will have to wipe out all life on Earth."
He patted Steve's shoulder forcefully. His watch accidentally brushed against Steve's hair.
[Gene capture in progress]
Ben squinted.
"Captain, you're the conscience of our team."
[Atasian genes successfully loaded]
Atuso people?
Ben was taken aback; weren't these the Highbreed race?
When did these guys arrive? And when did they begin their Secret Invasion?
He didn't know.
But Ben knew one thing: the purpose of the Highbreed was to drag the universe down with them. Because their own genes had stopped evolving, they wanted to destroy the evolutionary paths of other races and forcibly transform all species into genetically homogenous Half-Beastman.
Both the breeding environment for the Half-Beastman parasites and the suitable living environment for Highbreed require extreme low temperatures.
Having learned the other person's identity, Ben stopped talking to him and returned to Norman's side, giving the order:
"Detect any locations across the globe where temperatures are starting to drop abnormally. If any are found, immediately dispatch Plumbers to investigate. If I'm not mistaken, there should be a massive tower controlling the surrounding temperature."
"I see."
Norman nodded.
On Earth, Connors, Flash, Winter Soldier, Natasha, Hawkeye, and others did not participate in this operation.
This is a good opportunity to investigate the tower.
"And what about him?"
Norman gave him a look. "Aren't we going to arrest him?"
"First, we need to find out where Steve is," Ben said.
According to Norman, Steve probably ran into trouble on the Beast Ring, which makes it hard to say where he is now.
Perhaps the orc who was just Half-Beastman on some planet was Steve Rogers.
I hope he wasn't killed.
He also wanted to see how Highbreed would feel if they went to another universe and came back to find their tower had been stolen.
The two did not talk for long.
Because one of the Earths has begun its countdown to collision.
The sky over Wakanda turned red.
The whole world seemed to have been pulled into a strange space.
Above the blood-red sky, a blue planet blotted out the sun, emitting a faint glow.
"The Earth looks really beautiful from this perspective," Peter said.
"Even if it's beautiful, there are only eight hours left." Tony Stark, oblivious to the romance, had already donned his armor, took one last look at the blue planet, and closed his mask.
At the same time, his voice turned cold, like that of a heartless Iron Robots.
Tony Stark has a warm heart.
Pepper once said this.
But sometimes, in order to protect that little bit of warmth, we need to be even more ruthless at other times.
"Let's go, everyone."
Everyone else was wearing a specially made Plumber Uniform.
These uniforms are different from those of ordinary members; they have extremely strong personal characteristics, and you can tell at a glance that they are not extras.
"Stay in touch. Evacuate immediately if things get dangerous. Your own life is the priority," Norman warned.
"Learn."
The group bid farewell to everyone like astronauts, and with a change in the structure of their uniforms, several jets popped out, carrying them into the sky.
Peter was still sighing,
"This doesn't make sense. Two planets of similar mass are so close together, yet their gravity doesn't affect each other! Logically, they should be captured by each other, then collide and tear each other apart, causing earthquakes and tsunamis..."
"Basic physics doesn't apply here, kid," Tony said. "Besides, without these eight hours of buffer, we wouldn't have survived the first collision."
Eight hours seems like a divine mercy.
Or perhaps it's just some self-proclaimed gods trying to create an air of mystery.
The Collision Crisis was not a natural phenomenon, but rather a man-made one.
But the mastermind behind it all wasn't Maltruant; it was someone else entirely.
Ben didn't know who it was, but he knew he had to act. The second Earth seemed to be affected by a chain reaction, accelerating its speed in breaking through the barrier.
In the sky, two Earths intertwined, yet there was no impact.
It's as if they're not on the same layer.
Let's go too.
He turned to T'Challa, Felicia, Looma, and [Steve].
Then he went ahead.
"Jetray!"
The crimson body lifted Felicia and took off, hurtling towards the second Earth.
Looma swung her golden hammer, soaring through the flames.
This was once one of the seven Divine Hammer controlled by the Great Serpent, but it was later reforged by the dwarves. Three of them have found owners: Bill, Looma, and Brunnhilde.
However, Bill wields a short hammer, which, like the Hammer of Thor, possesses the power of lightning; Looma wields a long-handled hammer, controlling the power of fire; Brunnhilde fused with the Dragonfang sword, and remains a silver longsword, possessing the power of ice.
Actually, the captain had already been accepted by the hammer, but he didn't take the hammer with him.
As for now, it's even less likely to be used.
T'Challa and [Steve] can't fly; they can only rely on their thrusters.
