Peter: I Have a Friend
"That happened fifty years ago, before I was even born."
Naoko a worried expression.
She had fair skin and a good figure; her melancholy appearance resembled that of a wife who had lost her husband.
"Originally, there were no orcs on this planet, but one day, the High Evolutionary appeared."
"High Evolutionary?"
Peter interjected, "I knew without a doubt that this guy was no good. Calling himself 'Supreme' means he's definitely an arrogant and self-centered fellow."
Don't interrupt.
"And that's how it turned out," Naoko said. "If you want to leave this planet, it won't be so easy. Any spacecraft capable of leaving the planet is controlled by the orcs, and Supreme Evolution won't let you leave."
"I don't think they were that kind," Peter said.
He glanced at John and said, "Now, we have a few options."
"You say."
"First, we'll wait for the Galactic Plumbers's aid on this planet. My communicator is broken; they'll definitely come looking for me. Second, we can steal a spaceship, but I doubt their spaceship's engines can support us on our way back."
"You're right. Without Warp Engine, we'd never make it to Earth," John said.
Waiting for rescue seems like a good plan.
But Peter had another idea. "There's a third one,"
"Destroy the High Evolutionary!"
"Are you serious?" John and Naoko looked at him in surprise.
They could all hear how decisive Peter was when he presented the third option, as if he had already made up his mind to do so.
"You might be facing the combined forces of an entire planet, and they're very likely to be interested in a human like you with spider-like abilities."
"Why do you think I'm joking?" Peter asked. "There's a planet here where the people need help, and I just happen to be a righteous Plumbers."
John was silent for a moment, then said admiringly, "Clearly, my father had a deep misunderstanding about you. He always thought you were a coward hiding behind a mask, but he was wrong."
"If you've made up your mind, I'll support you." John Jameson seemed to have received a sense of mission as well.
"If you're really willing... I mean, I can introduce you to the human Rebel Army," Naoko said hesitantly.
"It seems we don't have to fight alone anymore," Peter said happily.
Naoko clearly did not fully trust Peter and John. Instead of taking them directly to meet the Rebel Army, she arranged the meeting after agreeing on a time and place with the Rebel Army.
During this time, Peter and John also needed to find ways to make a living.
"I do have a room available for rent, but it's probably only big enough for one person," Naoko said.
"We still need to pay rent; we really need the money."
For Peter, this was a simple matter, because his suit contained artificial intelligence, which could secretly acquire a large amount of wealth for him online.
However, his morals wouldn't allow him to do it.
How do you plan to get the money?
John asked.
"I need to borrow the identity of my good friend, you know, Peter Parker."
Peter: I have a friend.
"You mean, you're going to take your own photos and sell them to newspapers?" John understood. "But Spider-Man isn't exactly famous on this planet."
"You'll be famous soon."
Peter said.
Peter plans to do something big tonight.
He intends to invade the tower of High Evolutionary.
It's not just about making a big news story; it's also about figuring out what's going on on this planet.
Naoko didn't fully trust them, and he didn't fully trust Naoko either.
He wouldn't just listen to one side's story because Naoko human like him; he would have to see for himself to know the truth.
"If the Supreme Evolution originated from someone outside this planet, Galactic Plumbers would have been in accordance with the rules."
night.
This city, much like New York, glitters with dazzling neon lights.
Peter, dressed in his battle armor, leaped between the city's buildings.
However, this time he changed the color of his suit; the red and blue was still a bit too flashy for infiltration.
Not interfering in the internal struggles of a planet is a rule of the Galactic Plumbers's Association.
Take Xandar as an example. When Thanos invades, the Galactic Plumbers are obligated to help them resist Thanos, but if there is a rift between the Nova Corps, the Galactic Plumbers will not intervene.
"Karen, could you scan the internal structure of this tower?"
He said this about artificial intelligence.
"I'm afraid that won't work, sir. The tower's structure prevents spying, and the other party's network security level is very high. Directly hacking in would arouse suspicion."
"All right."
Peter could only nod helplessly.
He thought that if his artificial intelligence were Azmuth, these wouldn't be such a problem.
"I've found the patrol robots' return route for you; you can follow them and infiltrate."
As Karen spoke, she marked out the route for Peter to enter the tower.
"Good, hopefully they don't have thermal imaging. Of course, it doesn't matter if they do, the suit Benny gave me has a stealth mode." Peter leaped easily.
The figure leaped between the buildings.
He had long since become invisible; even his suit could insulate against heat and echoes, achieving radar protection.
Peter landed on the robots, who seemed unaware that they had something extra on them, and foolishly carried Peter into the tower.
"These robots don't seem to be that advanced."
Peter tapped them gently, feeling as if he could take them all apart with his bare hands.
Compared to Primus's robots, they feel far inferior.
"In case."
Peter took out an electromagnetic pulse bomb and placed it directly in the robot warehouse, then sneaked into the tower through the warehouse door.
"Thanks to the technology invented by the Benny."
He felt like Doraemon, able to easily pull out any gadget.
Peter walked towards the top of the tower, and the higher he went, the more orc warriors he encountered.
Moreover, each warrior looked incredibly powerful, as if they had all been injected with some kind of animal drug, gaining immense strength and healing abilities.
"Those four people must be the Fearsome Foursome that Naoko mentioned."
Peter discovered several orcs whose aura was stronger than that of the other warriors.
"A tiger, a goat, and what are the other two? White mice?" he muttered, and then he heard the Tiger King speak.
"Duke of Goats, have the intruders been found?"
Peter startled.
"Do they know that John and I are still alive?"
But the goat's next words relieved him. "We've caught them. Bring them up!"
He waved his hand, and several of his men brought up two gray-skinned men.
"That's... from the Vreedle Family?"
