Friends from Home
Peter rushed to the nuclear power plant, but by then the Rebel Army and the Wandagore Knights had already evacuated.
He had no choice but to return to the Rebel Army base.
"You mean John was arrested?"
Karen nodded. "Yes."
She and Blumley recounted what had happened, Peter learned that John had been captured both because he was covering their retreat and because he was wearing his uniform.
"Very good, saving one and then another, there's not a moment to catch your breath."
Peter couldn't help but complain.
But at least this time he was more confident.
He glanced down at his watch, thinking that as long as the High Evolutionary didn't occur, there shouldn't be any problems.
"And who are they, your friends?" Karen asked, looking at the unconscious Star-Lord and his group.
They were somewhat displeased that Peter had brought outsiders to the Rebel Army base without permission.
"Apart from the one wearing a watch, the others might be reinforcements..." Peter wasn't quite sure.
He felt that Ben wouldn't send these unreliable guys to help him, but Star-Lord and his crew were indeed the only people connected to the Galactic Plumbers in recent weeks.
"You seem to dislike them?"
"You can't expect too much from idiots. I just hope they don't end up needing my help," Peter said helplessly.
"They're actually quite nice people; they even brought a pot of plants," Karen said.
"No, that's not a plant, that's... a person too," Peter quickly explained to Groot. "When are we going to rescue John and the others?"
"Spider-Man, I know you're anxious, but we need to find out where John has been taken first," Blumley said.
He had almost completely accepted Spider-Man and John as his own people, and he was still very enthusiastic about his companions.
Kit gestured with his hand, then wrote a place name on the paper:
Atlantis City.
"It sounds like a seafood market."
Peter stroked his chin. "I have a sister-in-law who poops in bed—no, I mean, a red-haired woman who can breathe underwater. If she were here, she might rule the ocean."
"It has nothing to do with seafood; this is a technology city. There's a huge factory," Karen explained.
"You suspect John might be sent there?"
Kit nodded.
He continued writing.
Peter read it aloud without thinking, "The Ram Knight won't let go of any sample that can be used for experiments, but his laboratory was destroyed by me—I mean you—last time, so there aren't many places left for him to continue his experiments."
"An ambitious scientist, wait, why are you writing this in English?"
Peter realized it too late.
"Did you guys notice? All those 'GG' signs have English on them."
A group of people moved silently through the darkness above the city.
One of them exclaimed in surprise.
Another enormous, hunched, crawling beast-like monster hissed in a low voice, "What's so special about this city? It's called New York, after all."
Absolutely right.
A silhouette with four twisted arms behind it replied, "I'm starting to wonder if Collision Crisis has occurred, and this time it happened without us even noticing."
"The problem is, where are we going to find Peter?" the figure on the Hoverboard asked with difficulty. "I did see a news article about Spider-Man in the paper, but I'm afraid we can't get in touch with him right now."
The group chatted amongst themselves, but one large man remained silent.
"Flash, why are you so quiet?" Harry asked.
Flash, who had been called out, hesitated for a moment before replying, "Venom remembers this planet."
"Has he been here before?"
"No, it's the Hive memory of Symbiote. It seems there are remnants of some ancient race's parasitic Symbiote here. They can spread like spores through explosions, then parasitize and control the entire planet."
"That's a dangerous thing."
Venom poked a head out from Flash's shoulder, grinning maliciously, "If it were before, I would definitely have tried it! Controlling an entire planet, my god, I could eat as many brains as I wanted."
"You can only eat pig brains now," Flash emphasized.
"Of course, I'm not stupid. If I actually did it, I wouldn't be able to be a local tyrant for long before Ben Parker takes me down."
"Alright, let's get down to business."
Doctor Octopus wasn't too pleased with their idle chatter.
He was eager to finish the mission and return to Earth.
Connorson, however, quite liked the planet. "Look at it, it's teeming with animals and humans. If my evil plan had succeeded, Earth would be like this too."
"They're completely different things."
Otto said.
"These are acts of human intervention in animal evolution, but you are interfering with human evolution."
"By the way," Venom said, "I know where to find Peter."
"Where?"
"A stinky sewer."
Meanwhile, inside Wonderdale Castle.
The Ram Knight, having captured John and the other Rebel Army frozen by Mrs. Fulmin's cold air, stormed back to find the Tiger King.
"Your Majesty Tiger King, where is Spider-Man?" Ram Knight immediately questioned upon seeing Tiger King.
"Isn't it right in your hands?"
"This is a fake!" Ram Knight tried to roughly tear off John's battle suit, but the nanomolecules prevented him from succeeding.
This angered the Ram Knight, who slammed John to the ground.
"He has no Superpowers at all; it's all a facade!"
"Is that so? It seems Spider-Man is cunning, or perhaps cowardly. Maybe he's frightened after his last encounter with you." Tiger King's expression remained unchanged.
"You and I both know Spider-Man wouldn't do that."
Ram Knight sneered, "So, if this Spider-Man is a decoy, where will the real Spider-Man be when we head to the nuclear power plant?"
"Then you should ask Spider-Man."
"Enough, Tiger King! Stop playing tricks. You dare swear in the name of High Evolutionary that you've never seen Spider-Man?" Ram Knight roared angrily.
He glared at the Tiger King, his body growing larger and hotter, his fiery pupils seeming to burn the traitor Tiger King to ashes.
I told you I've never seen it!
As the Tiger King felt guilty for his lie, he also transformed into a giant, the "king" character between his eyebrows turning into Flash- fast trident, with intense electric currents erupting around his body.
The two sides were on the verge of exploding with tension.
This left Mrs. Fulmin somewhat bewildered.
"Wait a minute, you two. If the High Evolutionary Lord knew we were fighting amongst ourselves, he would probably be very disappointed."
Even with the introduction of the High Evolutionary, Ram Knight remained completely unmoved.
"If the High Evolutionary knew that I had eliminated a traitor, he would be proud of me."
