Background & History
Theresa was originally Hua Ling, a former Captain who was transformed into Theresa’s body by an Aeon with a twisted sense of humor. When the Astral Express discovers her unconscious inside a translucent sphere drifting through space, Welt recognizes her appearance as Theresa Apocalypse. Upon awakening, she acts the part of the Theresa he knows and claims that a black hole brought her there. This initial account is part of her assumed identity rather than confirmation that she is the original St. Freya Academy Head. 5 64
Welt initially verifies Theresa’s identity after noticing her pure white hair and the Oath of Judah, ruling out the possibility that she is Void Archive in disguise. She subsequently travels with the Astral Express group and demonstrates that, despite her small appearance, she is capable of overwhelming force. 6 8
Joining the Express completes a system mission that rewards her with the Vishnu Hyper-Mutation Factor. She initially asks to accompany the crew while searching for a way home and consumes the Factor pill after reaching the Antimatter Legion-occupied Space Station. 6 7
During her early journey, Theresa absorbs energy through Oath of Judah and awakens the Vishnu Hyper-Mutation Factor. Aha later grants her the Power of Joy, but her existing Immortal Power converts both Joy and her prior Destruction Energy into compatible strength, preserving her ordinary personality. 8 16
During the Belobog journey, she consciously accepts Theresa as her new identity and regards Hua Ling as her past self. Her later reflections describe her as a convergence of Hua Ling and Theresa, possessing memories associated with both rather than simply being the unchanged original Theresa. 41 64
Her growth accelerates after she devours the Stellar Core and assumes her mature Otsukiyo form. She subsequently develops the authority of Binding, receives Abundance’s recognition, and ascends as the Aeon of Binding. Welt contrasts this development with the dependent image he associates with the Theresa of his home world, observing that she has become the person carrying the Express crew through danger. 61 64 166 193 203 513
Theresa later reveals that she comes from a parallel universe. She accidentally selected a spacetime node and passed through a colorful door into another world; she insists that she is still “the one and only Theresa,” rather than the future version of that world’s Academy Head Theresa. 256 258
She later explains to the Express crew that Aha sent her to the Honkai world while pausing the train’s time. Murata Himeko subsequently confirms that Theresa saved her and helped Earth survive the Honkai, describing her as Earth’s guardian deity. 473 703
At St. Freya, Theresa finally identifies herself as an Astral Express Stellaron Hunter and the Aeon of Binding. Her stated mission is to trailblaze across the stars, assist planets in crisis, and eventually unravel the Imaginary Energy tidal belt surrounding the Solar System. 261 314
She makes removing that tidal belt conditional on first overcoming the Solar System’s Honkai trial. Otherwise, she believes her intervention could spread the Honkai into the wider universe and make her responsible for catastrophic loss of life. 314
Appearance
Theresa’s appearance changes extensively with her forms. Her earlier body is petite and youthful, with pure white hair and blue eyes, while her usual grown Otsukiyo form is approximately 1.65 meters tall, with white hair, red eyes, a mature figure, and white cat ears. 6 16 258 298
- Otsukiyo form — A mature, white-haired, red-eyed form that resembles an adult Theresa but originates from a parallel universe. 258
- Fox-like form — Has sakura-pink hair and eyes, pink fox ears, and a pink fox tail. During the initial hungry transformation, her pupils are vertical. 52
- Herrscher of Flames form — A Kiana-inspired appearance wearing the purple-and-white Time-Shimmering Light Chaser battle dress, a crown-like ornament, mismatched purple and white stockings, and a high ponytail with blue streaks. 100
- Stargazer growth form — A mature form in a golden-green immortal robe with a laurel-like hair accessory; Oath of Judah becomes a matching palm-leaf fan. 166
- Artificial Collapse form — Manifests three pairs of glass-colored dragon wings, platinum vertical pupils, and multicolored Immortal Flame. Its ancient, majestic bearing differs markedly from her usual cheerful demeanor. 189 190
- Immortal Stance — Features silvery-white dragon horns, a scaled dragon tail, three pairs of dragon wings, crimson eyes with silver-white diamond-shaped pupils, and the phantom Shadow of Yinglong. 491
- Aeon form — Wears an ornate golden-white conceptual gown, carries a platinum winged scepter, and is surrounded by countless platinum wings. 239
Her ascension also features a platinum-white crown, crystal earrings, and diamond-shaped eyes. Later descriptions of her usual catgirl appearance note faint multicolored light in her long white hair and rose-red eyes. 193 631
As a conceptual entity, Theresa can return to her original small appearance, but she prefers her mature body and has grown accustomed to its taller perspective. 513
Personality
Theresa is playful, mischievous, and prone to elaborate pranks, particularly when she sees an opportunity to tease powerful or overly serious people. She frequently uses shapeshifting and theatrical displays to unsettle others, though she is willing to apologize when a joke genuinely frightens her friends. 290 298 314
Beneath that behavior, Theresa is protective and compassionate. She comforts Kiana during an emotional breakdown, offers to help St. Freya fight the Honkai, provides food for refugees on Onparos, and seeks to restore people who have been lost or trapped. 256 261 316 552
She is also more strategically minded than her childish image suggests. Welt notes that she has become capable of considering the consequences of helping others and of using surrounding crises to strengthen herself while reducing future harm. 156
Theresa distinguishes teasing from exploiting genuine suffering. She is unwilling to make a joke of her Honkai-world friends’ feelings, and Welt later emphasizes that she does not turn other people’s misfortune into entertainment. Yinyueyue likewise notes that Theresa stopped making the “Five Names, Three Prices” joke after realizing it upset her. 261 805
She openly enjoys the company of beautiful girls and states that adopting Theresa’s identity has not changed her lack of romantic interest in men. Despite her broad flirtatiousness, Welt describes her as especially intimate with Acheron and Himeko. 41 392 805
Theresa enjoys coffee and bitter melon juice. Unlike the other Express passengers, she experiences Himeko’s concentrated coffee as sweet and can drink it comfortably. She also dislikes administrative work and tedious meetings, preferring the freedom of Trailblazing or the novelty of being a student. 6 7 392 450
Abilities & Skills
Authority of Binding
As the Aeon of Binding, Theresa can restrain, seal, and suppress opponents with Binding-based powers.
- Creates barriers capable of containing catastrophic force; her Binding Barrier prevents an attack that could have destroyed Earth. 272
- Immobilizes groups of opponents and can restrain the Servants of the Flame before they initiate combat. 298
- Condenses her Binding power into crystals and transfers the Herrscher of Binding Core from Academy Head Theresa’s Oath of Judah into Academy Head Theresa. 321
- Her basic Aeon-form attack can fire a white-and-gold beam powerful enough to annihilate the living planet World-Devouring Luofu. 418
- Can isolate an area from outside detection or disturbance, including shielding St. Freya’s transformation ritual from the Flame-Chasers and concealing her own weapon’s evolution. 321 377
- Her Binding protection prevents Nihility from affecting Acheron, allowing her companion to use her power without its usual threat of assimilation. 546
Immortal Power and Abundance
Theresa’s Immortal Power converts and harmonizes incompatible energies within her body.
- Converts both Destruction Energy and the Power of Joy, preventing Joy from changing her personality. 16
- Grants immunity to Mara-struckness and allows eternal youth unless Theresa is killed or chooses to cease existing. 138
- Reinforces her bones with Abundance power and produces defensive energy films from patterns within them. 138
- Allows her to absorb and refine concentrated Abundance power rather than being corrupted by it. 138 163
- Falls outside the energy targeted by Judah’s Divine Blessing Barrier, allowing her to power and operate the barrier without suffering its erosion. Her early use is instead limited by energy consumption. 12
- Manifests Immortal Flame, Immortal Lightning, protective shields, and an Immortal Light beam. Her Chainsaw Greatsword can combine lightning, fire, and ice for multi-element attacks. 65 89 146 494
- Her Abundance power ultimately merges fully with Binding; she also understands healing as extending to the mind and soul rather than only the body. 200
Oath of Judah
Oath of Judah is Theresa’s primary Divine Key and can change between weapon, accessory, and humanoid forms. Her own weapon eventually evolves into the Oath of Binding, while she separately transforms Academy Head Theresa’s Judah into a humanoid protector. 252 321 377
- Deploys a massive sword array that pulverizes enemies and absorbs their energy for Theresa. 8
- Uses Heavenly Judgment, a vast magic circle that crushes enemies and absorbs Abundance power through a central black hole. 163
- Can become a necklace for concealment, a feather fan, a palm-leaf fan, or a Chainsaw Greatsword. 7 156 166 272
- Deploys thirteen chained Soul Steel spears in Hunting Mode, piercing and devouring Antimatter Legion soldiers. 8
- Uses Zero Rated Power: Divine Blessing Barrier—Directional Deployment, suppressing the Doomsday Beast’s attacks before combining the barrier with Heavenly Judgment to destroy it. 11 12
- Takes the Sakura’s Redemption form, replacing its spears with thirteen pink spirit blades. 52
- Takes the Bloodstained Crimson Casket form, becoming a crimson Chainsaw Greatsword that can divide into two weapons for close combat. 89 138 267
- Can deploy a cross-headed humanoid “Valkyrie Judas,” whose head opens to fire thirteen Soul Steel spears. 252
- Uses its spears and chains for rescue, catching companions thrown toward the void by Phantylia’s hurricane. 187
- Can be given a humanoid form resembling Kallen, after which it is tasked with protecting Academy Head Theresa. This transformation is performed on the Academy Head’s weapon, whose humanoid form later names herself Oath. 321 322
Oath of Binding
Theresa evolves her personal Oath of Judah with an Equipment Evolution Voucher. The resulting Oath of Binding is a conceptual-grade armament, soul-bound to the Aeon of Binding, with causality-based properties described as capable of binding anything. Its former Soul Steel spears become energy. 377
| Release level | Name | Documented function |
|---|---|---|
| Initial Release | Binding Barrier | Provides the weapon’s initial Binding release. 377 |
| Intermediate Release | Ever-changing | Named as the intermediate release; its detailed mechanics are not explained in the recorded description. 377 |
| Advanced Release | Heavenly Divine Realm Descent | Unfolds a Heavenly Divine Realm over a range envisioned by Theresa and summons Divine Realm Angels to attack enemies. 377 |
Wheel of Causality
The Heavenly Wisdom imprint manifests as a pale-green Wheel of Causality around Theresa.
- Reflects incoming attacks so long as their power does not exceed Theresa’s resistance. 146
- Was awakened by Theresa’s fury at lives being trampled, turning that anger into a resolve to protect others. 146
Shapeshifting
Theresa can assume numerous female forms through the power of Joy and abilities such as Fool’s Thousand Faces.
- Can imitate forms including Herrscher of Flames Kiana, Stargazer, Traveler Lumine, and Herrscher of Finality. 100 166 295 297
- Uses disguises tactically, including feigning weakness in Stargazer form to expose Tingyun’s connection to Phantylia. 163
- Cannot transform into male forms. 100
- Her transformations can include altered weapon configurations, such as the crystal-based greatsword associated with her Herrscher of Flames form. 105
- Can transform by expending the Power of Joy without wearing a mask, avoiding the dependency she associates with ordinary Masked Fools. 62 78
- Can alter other people’s bodies, including feminizing Jing Yuan and Yinyueyue and turning Scott into a dog. 235
- As an Aeon, her chosen body is not constrained by ordinary energy or matter, and she can restore her earlier petite form at will. 513
Space-Time and Material Manipulation
Theresa can travel and intervene across vast distances.
- Opens portals that relocate approaching Anti-Entropy and Destiny warships near the Far East. 256
- Uses portals to arrive unexpectedly in the Dominion Theater and disrupt the Herrscher of Thousand’s plan against Kiana. 252
- Creates food from thin air to feed refugees on Onparos. 552
- Uses Imaginary storage to collect and retain liquid Soulsteel. 261
- Teleports directly back to her companions and can move through the air without external equipment. 168 260
- Manipulates dirt and rocks to repair the ground after Otto’s Soul Steel body is destroyed. 261
Imprints and Resurrection
Theresa possesses multiple Servants of the Flame imprints, including those of Chiyou, Su, Elysia, and Aponia. 272
- Forms the Seal of the Ring from thirteen imprints. 272
- Acquires blood samples of the Thirteen Servants of the Flame through Immortal Power and uses them to restore their bodies. 311
- Resurrects the Previous Civilization’s Thirteen Flame-Chasers and arranges for them to live at St. Freya. 316
- Plans and performs restorations for other lost figures, including Yae Rin, Yae Sakura, and Joyce. 293 327
- Restores Murata Himeko, reuniting her with Kiana and the others. 265 266
- Creates a new body for Yae Sakura and revives Kallen. 336
- Retrieves Cecilia’s consciousness through time and space and creates a new body for her. 337
Honkai Will and Herrscher Authorities
Theresa is identified as the Honkai Will, also called the Honkai God, and can use every Herrscher authority. This role extends beyond her original Binding authority. 473 631 670
- Grants March 7th temporary authority of the Herrscher of Void for a staged Honkai scenario. 473
- Uses the authority of Reason to construct a golden baseball bat for Stelle. 631
- Can create ordinary and Judgement-type Honkai Beasts, as well as End of Dharma-level, planetary-level, and stellar-level beasts. Stellar-level creations can be comparable to Emanators. 626 670
- Simulates enhanced Honkai forces within Amphoreus’s data world so that the recreated creatures do not affect the outside world. 626
- Summons hundred-meter Chariot-types, three-hundred-meter Temple-types, thousand-meter Judgement-types, ten-thousand-meter End of Dharma-level beasts, and hundred-thousand-meter planetary beasts against the Black Tide. She also deploys enhanced Deadwalkers and mechanical combat units. 669
- Summons projections of the Herrschers of Truth, Void, Thunder, Wind, Ice, Death, Sentience, Rock, Flames, Domination, and Binding. The same account identifies Finality with Theresa herself rather than listing it among these projections. 669
Physical Combat and Summoned Proxies
Theresa is an accomplished close-range fighter even without Judah. Her early S-rank Valkyrie physique supports punches exerting dozens of tons of force, and Vishnu’s development further increases her strength, speed, and durability. 42 52
- Uses powerful kicks and weapon strikes to break alloy gates, destroy Honkai Beasts, and overwhelm enhanced Quantum Shadows. 109 269 474
- Combines catgirl agility with combat instincts, evading lightning by sensing static gathering around her. 483
- Can leap hundreds of meters into the air and surround herself with a Blood Qi shield while riding a rocket missile toward an opponent. 483
- Turns Flame-Chaser Etherium Spirits into physical entities that can fight in her place. She prefers such proxies against ordinary opponents because planets cannot safely withstand unrestricted intervention by an Aeon. 546
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Oath of Judah — Theresa’s Divine Key, capable of becoming a cross, necklace, fan, greatsword, weapon array, or humanoid combatant. Her personal weapon is distinct from Academy Head Theresa’s Judah, which she transforms into the companion Oath. 7 8 252 321
- Oath of Binding — The evolved form of her personal Judah; a soul-bound conceptual armament with causality-based Binding and the Heavenly Divine Realm Descent release. 377
- Wise Stone Mask — An Optimized Stone Mask is awarded after the Doomsday Beast’s defeat and later fuses with Aha’s bestowed mask. Theresa initially fears that wearing the resulting mask may cause drastic change; it later contributes to her Otsukiyo transformation and Immortal Stance. 12 16 491 513
- Enhanced Azeroth Redstone — A system reward stored after defeating the Doomsday Beast. 12
- Imaginary Storage Bracelet — Used to store liquid Soulsteel collected after Otto’s body is destroyed. 261

- Flame-Chaser Etherium Spirits — Combat proxies that Theresa can materialize rather than involving the resurrected Flame-Chasers themselves. 546
Relationships
- Himeko — Close companion whom Theresa calls her younger sister; they work together in major plans and often show open affection. Welt later identifies Himeko and Acheron as the people with whom Theresa is especially intimate. 59 300 805
- Welt — Fellow Astral Express member and frequent straight man to Theresa’s antics; he recognizes her increasing strategic ability and accepts her help in ascending as the Herrscher of Reason. He initially mistakes her for his old acquaintance, and later marvels at her growth into the crew’s protector. 5 156 203 216
- Kiana — Theresa’s niece in the Honkai-world arc; Theresa rescues her from the Dominion Theater and comforts her through grief and guilt. After Theresa restores Murata Himeko, Kiana gives her a knight’s salute and pledges her help in gratitude. 252 256 266
- Academy Head Theresa — Theresa’s parallel-world counterpart; Theresa reassures her, assists her growth, and transfers the Herrscher of Binding Core into her body. She also evolves the Academy Head’s Judah into Oath, providing her with a protector and personal attendant. 258 321 322
- Elysia — A friend and source of the True Self imprint; Elysia ultimately accepts Theresa’s apology after her Herrscher of Finality prank. 272 298

It recognizes the Academy Head as its fourth user and receives Theresa’s order to protect her, later adopting the name Oath. This companion is separate from Theresa’s own weapon. 321 322 377
- Chiyou — A frequently antagonized but increasingly cooperative Servant of the Flame; Theresa defeats him in combat and repeatedly teases him. 302 314

His relationship with Academy Head Theresa does not make him the grandfather of an unchanged original Theresa; the protagonist began as Hua Ling. 5 260 284 347
- Yinyueyue — One of the people whose body Theresa feminizes. Despite occasional frustration with Theresa’s teasing, she recognizes that Theresa respects emotional boundaries and stops jokes that cause genuine unhappiness. 235 805
