Background and History

March 7th was originally found floating inside a semi-transparent blue-and-white block of ice. Welt brought the ice onto the Astral Express, where it melted and revealed a pink-haired girl with no memories of her past. Himeko named her “March 7th” because she was found on the seventh day of March. 691

Already a passenger when Theresa arrived, March helped welcome the newcomer and explained that she, too, had been recovered by the train without any memories. She invited Theresa to call her either March 7th or Little March. 5 6 7

During the Herta Space Station crisis, she fought beside Theresa and Dan Heng while searching for survivors. Her Ice Path archery froze Antimatter Legion troops, enabling Dan Heng and the others to clear the immediate threat. 8 9

During her earlier travels, her inaccessible past remained a source of uncertainty. The memory-inducing fragrance of Theresa's Higanbana briefly made March feel that she might remember something, but a barrier prevented her from recovering those memories. 138

On the journey to Onparos, also called Amphoreus, March abruptly became weak and unable to rise from bed. Theresa determined that the power of The Remembrance—Fulai had enclosed her mind, while her body was undergoing a non-harmful transformation; forcibly breaking the barrier risked permanently preventing the return of her lost memories. Before losing consciousness, March entrusted her camera and batteries to Stelle. 547

Lingbao and Himeko initially remained aboard to care for her rather than join the scouting expedition. By the time of her restoration, her bed was encased in blue ice, Lingbao was monitoring her heartbeat, and Black Swan was standing guard. 548 690

Within a simulated Path canyon, March resisted attempts by Eidos Users posing as Fu Xuan and a Messenger to lure her through a Memory Door. Remembering Theresa's influence and recognizing the inconsistencies in their story, she invoked an Aha mask Theresa had given her, causing the false Messenger to dissipate. 659

She later encountered Cyrene's Memory Fragment, also rendered as Xilian, who warned that entering the Memory Door could make March a pawn of those manipulating Onparos. March chose to trust Cyrene, invited her to return to the real world together, and began cooperating against the Eidos Users. 660 661

After the Onparos conflict, Changye Yue revealed herself as March's original personality; the present March 7th was a newer personality born after her memory loss. Changye Yue restored March's consciousness and memories from the camera to her body, ending her slumber and triggering her Memory Path awakening. 689 690

March initially feared that her reunion with her companions was merely a dream created by how much she missed them. She cried while holding Stelle until Theresa reassured her that she had truly returned to her bedroom aboard the Astral Express. 691

She subsequently continued trailblazing with the crew and supported the proposal to visit the world located through Cloud Retainer's Primogem. During the resulting Teyvat journey, she was explicitly identified as an Emanator of Remembrance. 735 775

March 7th is a pink-haired young woman. After her awakening, she wears a pink-and-white formal dress with cute decorations and two long, floating pink-and-white skirt tails. 690

Personality

March is energetic, sociable, and deeply enthusiastic about trailblazing into unknown places. She regards the beginning of a journey as its most exciting part, while seeing its middle as the experience itself and its conclusion as a chance to remember what happened. 547

She is prone to playful comments and occasionally jumps to conclusions, but her experiences with Theresa made her significantly more cautious. When confronted by the Eidos Users' fabricated story, she questioned their motives instead of accepting their promises of recovered memories. 659 660

Her loyalty to her companions is central to her decisions. Even while trapped in the Path canyon, she wanted to reunite with Stelle, Theresa, and the Astral Express crew; she also chose to trust and protect Xilian after recognizing her sincerity. 660 661

Her cheerful outlook coexists with anxiety about losing the memories she has made since joining the train. During the Eidos Users' interference, she feared being deprived of her current life and forgetting her companions just as she had forgotten her past. 660

She enjoys photography, attractive clothing, shopping, and performances. Her Penacony vacation plans included filling her shopping bags at Moment of Dusk and wearing an evening gown to Ms. Nightingale's concert. 379 391

Although often teased for being airheaded, March takes combat seriously when necessary and can use deception tactically. Against the Abundance Xuanlu, she abandoned her usual playful ice dolls in favor of a concentrated attack; against Dan Shu, she deliberately allowed an ice arrow to be shattered so its freezing mist would catch the surrounding enemies. 136 163

She can become carried away by unfamiliar power. During the dream-bubble reenactment, her temporary Herrscher abilities made her so self-important that she forgot her lines. Later, her wish to become smarter led her to brew a potion using Theresa's tail hair despite her companions' warnings. 474 507 944

March's awakening grants her a new power associated with The Remembrance—Fulai.

This attack is performed by Changye Yue rather than directly by March. 731

Trailblaze and Binding Protection

• The power of Trailblaze helps protect March and the expedition party from Jarilo-VI's cold. 22
