Theresa’s attempt to refine a Bangboo accidentally brought her bronze cauldron to life, and she forced it to transform into a bizarre armed Bangboo. Meanwhile, Yaoshi granted Ifa a healing power after witnessing his desire to help others.

• Theresa activated the Artifact Refining cauldron as bystanders watched it glow brighter.

• Lumine beat Aether and prepared to question him, but Haden emerged from an Abyss rift and tossed him through it.

• The Captain explained that he would not insist on obtaining the Pyro Gnosis after the Abyss crisis had been resolved, and said his remaining goal was to bring the souls in his heart to rest.
• Theresa asked who would accompany the Captain; Welt, Stellaron Essence, Lumine, and Paimon joined the journey while Himeko and March 7th stayed behind.
• Mavuika led the group to a Great Spirit's totem pole and warned them that the realm of the dead could be dangerous and must not be desecrated.

• Mavuika lit the dark realm with her flames as Citlali warned everyone to avoid evil spirits unless they had no choice.
• Citlali dispersed a corrupted spirit, and Theresa's platinum orb purified the surrounding evil spirits and calmed the Captain's restless souls.

• After the final soul joined the ley lines, the Captain asked the Night Lord to take him to his true resting place.
• The Night Lord led the group through ancient ruins to a high-altitude ruin, where they saw the Ruler of Death’s dark red-eyed projection.
• Nolava declared that the Night Lord’s task was complete, and the Night Lord left after bidding farewell to Theresa and the others.
• Nolava praised the group for stopping the Abyss’s invasion and recognized the Captain as a cursed survivor of Khaenri’ah.
• The Captain told Theresa that her power had shown him a new possibility and asked her to help him find eternal rest.

The Captain challenged the Ruler of Death over the immortality curse that had condemned him to five hundred years of suffering. After learning that Teyvat’s fate was no longer anchored and receiving Theresa’s help to break the curse, he took his final rest on the Stone Throne.

• The Captain explained how the Khaenri'ah disaster and immortality curse had left him carrying the souls of fallen warriors in his Artificial Heart.
