Background / History

Origin Data awakened as Jiang Xiao’s innate ability immediately after he selected Mechanist as his primary profession. Its earliest function converted him and his mechanical creations into data-processed entities, preventing meaningful damage before their HP or durability values reached zero. Its initial slots also allowed him to research damaged equipment, fuse materials or energies, and store a single item. 6

Its early applications centered on machinery. Origin Data enabled Jiang Xiao to perceive crude cybernetic control code, paralyze a Tier 2 Mech Warrior’s mechanical body, crack the Sin City Network Terminal, strengthen equipment, and examine systems beyond ordinary visual access. 8 10 41

As Jiang Xiao’s Spirit Energy rose, the ability evolved from a personal defensive tool into a data-intrusion and network-construction power. Primary Data Construction enabled coding, protected data networks, mechanical extensions of its range, and lossless energy transfer; Origin Data could also mimic encountered firewall structures and infiltrate systems without triggering alarms. 38 41 60
