Hu Shu and the others finally returned to Shouyang Mountain, where the Human Race gathered around them. Seeing the glowing Divine Artifact in Hu Shu's hand, everyone's eyes were filled with surprise and anticipation. Just as Hu Shu was about to recount their experiences in the ruins, a Human Race scout hurried over, his face pale with panic. "Clan Leader, this is bad! Our scouts report that the Chan Sect seems to be making a new move and is heading our way!" Hu Shu's heart tightened. He gazed into the distance, silently considering how to respond.
After a brief silence, Hu Shu quickly calmed himself. He knew panic would accomplish nothing now. His gaze swept across the Human Race warriors around him. Though worry filled their eyes, there was even more trust in him. Hu Shu took a deep breath and said loudly, "Don't panic. Now that we have this Divine Artifact and the strengthened Invincible Domain, we have the confidence to fight them. But first, we need to find out the Chan Sect's exact movements."
After saying that, Hu Shu assigned several sharp-witted scouts to investigate the Chan Sect again, ordering them to determine the enemy's numbers, strength, and purpose. Then, he brought several elders of the Human Race and some core warriors to a hidden cave on Shouyang Mountain. This was where they discussed important matters. Simple restrictions had been placed around it to prevent information from leaking out.
"Everyone, the Chan Sect has come with ill intent. We must quickly come up with a way to deal with them." Hu Shu looked at the crowd solemnly. An elder frowned and said, "Clan Leader, the Chan Sect is powerful. Although we have the Divine Artifact and the Invincible Domain, we must not let our guard down." Hu Shu nodded, his gaze falling upon the Divine Artifact in his hand. "This Divine Artifact can strengthen the Human Race Fortune. We must put it to good use. At the same time, I will further study the Invincible Domain's new skill, Domain Guardian, and strive to make it more effective in battle."
While they were still discussing matters, the scouts who had gone for information returned. "Clan Leader, we found out. The Chan Sect has dispatched dozens of Golden Immortals led by Guang Chengzi, and they are rapidly approaching Shouyang Mountain. They clearly mean us harm," the scout said breathlessly. Hu Shu's heart sank. Guang Chengzi was immensely powerful, and with dozens of Golden Immortals accompanying him, this would truly be a hard battle. Yet there was not a trace of fear in his eyes. Instead, his fighting spirit blazed.
"Since they have come to our doorstep, there is no need for us to retreat." Hu Shu clenched his fist. "First, set up a Defensive Formation around Shouyang Mountain and make use of the terrain. At the same time, have every Human Race warrior prepare for battle. This time, we must let the Chan Sect know that the Human Race is not to be bullied." Everyone responded at once, accepting their orders and departing to make tense preparations.
However, at that moment, the Invincible Domain System suddenly issued a prompt: "A Mysterious Ruins has been detected nearby. It contains a key item capable of further increasing the Human Race's strength. Host, please proceed to explore the ruins as soon as possible. Time limit: three days. Failure to complete the task will result in the deduction of part of the Invincible Domain's energy." Hu Shu's heart stirred. These ruins might be the key to turning the situation around. Hu Shu led the selected Human Race warriors swiftly toward the Mysterious Ruins. Along the way, everyone looked grave and hurried onward. As they traveled, Hu Shu explained the dangers they might encounter and how to deal with them.
At last, they arrived outside the Mysterious Ruins. The ruins exuded an ancient, mysterious aura. A faint curtain of light covered the entrance, runes flickering across it to form a powerful restriction. Hu Shu sensed the immense power contained within the restriction and knew it was no trivial obstacle.
"Be careful, everyone. This restriction is extremely powerful." Hu Shu warned them as he activated the Invincible Domain System. Light spread from his body and slowly pressed toward the restriction. As it approached, the runes on the restriction flickered even more fiercely, as though resisting Hu Shu's power.
Hu Shu gritted his teeth and increased his power output. The light of the Invincible Domain collided with the light of the restriction, producing rumbling blasts. The air around them seemed to ignite, heat waves rolling outward. The Human Race warriors watched tensely, gripping their weapons and preparing for any sudden danger.
Finally, under Hu Shu's full effort, a crack appeared in the restriction. The crack swiftly widened, and with a BOOM, the restriction shattered. A dark, deep passage appeared before them. It was narrow, its walls covered in strange runes that emitted a faint glow.
"Stay close to me. Don't fall behind." Hu Shu entered the passage first, with the Human Race warriors following closely behind him. A stale smell filled the tunnel, making them want to vomit. Hu Shu frowned and warned them, "This smell may be poisonous. Be careful." Everyone immediately circulated their spiritual power to resist the corrosive stench.
They had not gone far when a pack of monsters suddenly appeared ahead. These creatures resembled wild wolves, their bodies shrouded in black mist, their eyes gleaming with a ghostly green light. "Demonic wolves! Be careful, they are extremely aggressive!" Hu Shu shouted as he charged forward first. A gleaming Long Sword appeared in his hand, and each swing of its blade sent out fierce Sword Qi.
The Human Race warriors refused to be outdone. They raised their weapons and launched into a fierce battle with the demonic wolves. Howling, the wolves pounced at them, their sharp claws and fangs flashing coldly. For a time, shouts of battle filled the passage as blood sprayed through the air.
Hu Shu's Sword Qi swept in every direction, each strand cutting down a demonic wolf. But there were too many of them, surging forward without end. One Human Race warrior was carelessly clawed by a wolf, blood streaming down his arm. Seeing this, Hu Shu swiftly unleashed a strand of Sword Qi and killed the beast, then shouted, "Back to back! Don't spread out! Work together!"
Following Hu Shu's command, the group stood back to back and formed a defensive circle. The demonic wolves charged again and again, but they could not break through the group's defense. Seizing the right moment, Hu Shu unleashed the Invincible Domain's new skill, Domain Guardian. A transparent curtain of light enveloped them, and every wolf attack that struck it could only send ripples spreading across its surface.
"Now, counterattack with everything you have!" Hu Shu shouted. Protected by the light curtain, the group's morale surged, and they launched their counterattack. After a bitter battle, they finally slaughtered every demonic wolf. Panting heavily, they looked at the corpses scattered across the ground, their hearts filled with relief at having survived the disaster.
Yet before they could rest, another mechanism appeared farther down the passage. Countless arrows shot from the walls at incredible speed, flying toward them. Hu Shu quickly activated the Invincible Domain and blocked them all. But there were too many arrows, and Hu Shu gradually began to struggle.
"Find cover!" Hu Shu shouted. Everyone hurriedly sought shelter in recesses along the passage walls. While blocking the arrows, Hu Shu observed the mechanism's pattern. At last, he discovered that its control hub was a huge stone near the ceiling of the passage.
Hu Shu seized the opportunity, used his movement technique, and leaped into the air. His Long Sword stabbed toward the boulder. With a BOOM, the boulder shattered, and the mechanism stopped with it. Everyone let out a breath of relief and continued deeper into the ruins.
Along the way, they encountered all kinds of mechanisms and monsters, and Human Race warriors were continually injured. Yet no one retreated. Under Hu Shu's leadership, they pressed forward with difficulty.
As they ventured deeper into the ruins, the atmosphere around them grew increasingly oppressive. From the depths of the ruins came faint but powerful fluctuations of aura, as though some terrifying existence was waiting for them. Could Hu Shu and the others make it through this trial?
