Hu Shu watched the others' retreating backs and secretly clenched his fists. He knew that every step ahead was crucial; the slightest misstep could plunge the Human Race into the Place of Eternal Damnation. But he firmly believed that as long as the Human Race stood united, no obstacle would be insurmountable. Turning, he walked into the cave. Hu Shu decided to study the ancient runes more carefully that night. Perhaps they held the key to dealing with the trap.
Early the next morning, gentle sunlight spilled across Shouyang Mountain, bringing a trace of warmth to this land fraught with danger. Yet inside the Human Race's council hall, the atmosphere was exceptionally grave. Hu Shu sat with the others, continuing their discussion of how to counter the traps laid by the Chan Sect and the Demon Race.
"A Yong still hasn't returned. I wonder how his investigation went." A Mu frowned, his eyes filled with worry.
Hu Shu nodded slightly, his gaze resolute. "A Yong's stealth skills are exceptional. He will surely return safely and bring us vital intelligence."
Just then, a figure swiftly slipped into the council hall. It was A Yong. His face was weary, but excitement shone in his eyes. "Hu, boss, I found out! Their trap is incredibly complex. The Chan Sect has joined forces with the Demon Race to set layers upon layers of restrictions and ambushes around our Human Race settlement. An Illusion Formation has been placed in the eastern valley—once anyone enters, they will lose their sense of direction. To the west is a powerful Killing Formation; touch it, and you die. To the south lies the Bewildering Formation, capable of disrupting the mind. And to the north, Demon Race experts are leading elite forces in hiding, ready to attack at any moment."
