Geography and Spiritual Environment
Crimson Flame Peak is an isolated volcano whose Earth Lung Fire Vein periodically erupts. Its terrain is relatively flat around the mountain, limiting the damage caused by lava flows during Spirit Vein advancements. The peak contains all five types of Five Elements Spirit Veins, though Metal and Fire spiritual energy are particularly pronounced and pure. 142 431 692
At the time Ji An took residence, the cave abode halfway up the mountain and a small area surrounding the Cold Pool possessed second-grade spiritual-energy density. Most other areas were only Grade 1 high-tier or peak-grade, while the Spirit Fields at the foot of the mountain covered slightly over three thousand mu. 112
- Cold Pool — The peak's water-vein node; it supports water-element Spirit Plants and later produced third-tier mid-grade Spirit Plants. 683
- Molten Cave — An underground lava-cavern system containing Fire Coral, the Emerald Leaf Red Lotus, Phoenix Wood, and other fire-element treasures. 253 526 683
- Earth Lung Fire Vein — The source of the peak's recurring eruptions and its unusually abundant Metal- and Fire-element spiritual materials. 106
- Daytime hazard — Golden wind and fire can become dangerous during the day despite the peak's diverse spiritual energies. 102
- Eruption conditions — Eruptions fill the area with violent spiritual energy, falling stone, volcanic ash, golden-red mist, and lava. 128 533
History
Ji An first learned of Crimson Flame Peak while selecting a cultivation residence through the Golden Spirit Sect's Map of Mountains and Rivers. He was drawn to its rich spiritual energies but remained wary of its dangerous golden wind and fire. 102
The peak was coveted by the Chen Clan because its Earth Lung Fire Vein had begun erupting annually roughly twenty years earlier. Each short eruption scattered Metal- and Fire-element spiritual items, including mid-grade second-tier materials; the Chen Clan could earn four to five thousand Spirit Stones per year from the gathered resources. 106
After the Chen Clan vacated the residence, Ji An completed the handover and moved in. The previous occupants had stripped the site of its valuables, leaving him an empty mountain that required rebuilding and planting. 112 Zhu Qinghao and Chen Xingyun had previously attempted to persuade Ji An to exchange the peak for another cave abode and Spirit Stones. His refusal turned the Chen Clan's financial interest in the peak into a lasting conflict. 106
Soon after Ji An moved in, Crimson Flame Peak erupted. He discovered the value of the ejected materials but concealed the harvests for ten years, fearing that the Chen Clan would retaliate if they learned the peak's secret. When he eventually reported the matter to Ge Ying, she warned that hiding high-level resources from the sect for so long had violated a serious taboo. 120 125
The sect later invested heavily in the peak's Spirit Vein and formations. Under Ji An's management, its Spirit Fields, spirit forests, and underground gardens became increasingly productive; its output noticeably fell during his travels and recovered after his return. 346 416
Crimson Flame Peak also became a major site of Ji An's cultivation. He relocated nearby disciples before breaking his core and forming his Nascent Soul there, ensuring that the breakthrough's Thunder Tribulation would not endanger them. 719
Eruptions and Discoveries

Spirit Plants and Resources
Emerald Leaf Red Lotus and Green Lotus Heart-Burning Fire
The Emerald Leaf Red Lotus grows in the Molten Cave's magma pool. In its third life, the spirit fire it nurtures develops three layers: an emerald-green inner flame, a crimson middle flame, and a blazing-white outer flame. 253 299
Ji An successfully matured the Green Lotus Heart-Burning Fire and divided it into three Seeds of Fire, intending to refine one himself while considering Han Yan as a recipient for another. 536
- Purifies fire baleful intent. 253
- Supports alchemy and artifact refinement. 253
- Three-layer spirit fire may slightly improve a cultivator's chance of forming a Golden Core. 253
- Requires long-term cultivation; Ji An estimated the lotus would need about two hundred years to mature when it was first observed in its third life. 299
Phoenix Wood
True Lord Zhengyang identified an unknown plant in the Lotus cavern as Phoenix Wood, a fourth-grade Fire Element Spirit Plant. It can potentially nurture Phoenix Nirvana Fire, a Heaven-and-Earth Spirit Fire said to bring the dead back to life. 344
- Phoenix Wood must reach third grade before flowering or fruiting.
- Its growth requires at least a Grade 2 peak Spirit Vein. 344
- It later reached third-tier low-grade and bore eighteen fruits in the Molten Cave. 683
Spirit Forests and Fields
Ji An transformed the peak into a dense cultivation ground for Spirit Plants, supplying the sect with spirit fruit, spiritual timber, Spirit Charcoal, and refining materials.
- Crimson Cloud Pines — Six second-tier trees had been cultivated by Chapter 162; each low-grade second-tier tree could produce roughly two hundred jin of pine nuts annually. 162
- Mystic Leaf Sword Bamboo — Thirty-six Grade 2 peak specimens later stood on the peak, each yielding half a jin of golden leaves per year. 533
- Spiritual Peach Trees — The fire-element garden contained twenty-eight top-grade Spiritual Peach Trees by the third-order advancement. 533
- Dragon Blood Trees — Twelve top-grade trees grew in the same garden. 533
- Azure Flame Purple Spirit Gourd — A Grade 2 peak specimen was cultivated in the Crimson Cloud Pine Forest. 533
- Pure Water Lotus — A Grade 2 peak water-vein treasure capable of improving water quality and spiritual-energy concentration. 533
- Spirit Charcoal forests — Purple Sun Wood and Mysterious Sun Wood were retained because Crimson Flame Peak was the sect's principal source of Spirit Charcoal for pill refinement. 299
Infrastructure and Defenses
- Mountain-protecting formation — The peak's formation is normally activated at night and prevents unauthorized cultivators from entering the grounds. 253 413
- Teleportation Array — A teleportation route connects Crimson Flame Peak with Condensing Emerald Cliff and other key sect locations. 302 533
- Spirit Vein cultivation formation — Sect disciples and Central Continent cultivators constructed formations to raise and stabilize the peak's Spirit Vein. 346 439
- Lava diversion works — Golden Fur and Big Yellow excavated trenches and erected stone walls near the cave residence to redirect post-eruption lava. 692
- Eruption scouting — Ji An assigned the Golden Feathered Eagle to alert him whenever unfamiliar cultivators arrived through the peak's teleportation chambers. 533
Notable Residents and Associations
- Ji An — Primary resident and cultivator since the Chen Clan's departure. His farming spells and direct management transformed the peak into a major sect resource ground. 112 416
- Chen Clan — Former beneficiaries of the peak's eruptions; Chen Xingyun and Chen Xingzhou sought to reclaim its interests and plotted against Ji An after he refused to surrender it. 106 120
- Golden Spirit Sect — Funds Spirit Vein upgrades, claims and inventories eruption resources, and relies on the peak for Spirit Plants and Spirit Charcoal. 346 533
- True Lord Zhengyang — Supported large-scale investment in the peak, investigated its deeper lava system, and recognized the value of its Spirit Plants. 344 416 535
- Jia Yu — Assisted with formation repairs, resource accounting, and stewardship of Crimson Flame Peak during Ji An's absences. 128 434 534
- Lin Jiuxiao — Temporarily resided at the peak while Ji An was away, as its fire-element aura suited his cultivation method. 619
