History
Before Chaos, the Primordial Era contained no living beings and was filled with purple energy. When that era shattered, the energy became Chaos Qi; its greatest cluster became the Great Dao, while three thousand portions formed the Three Thousand Chaos Demon Gods, among them Pangu. Pangu later opened heaven and earth, and his body was said to have transformed into the Primordial World. 7 28
In its early state, the world contained innumerable immortal mountains, spiritual roots, herbs, spiritual springs, and pervasive Innate Spiritual Qi. Chen Tian transmigrated there as a self-aware spiritual root on an otherwise ordinary immortal mountain. 1
The young world was harsh and lawless: its myriad races fought over spiritual veins, and strength alone determined survival. The absence of stable order later motivates Nuwa's creation of the Human Race. 91
A strand of Primordial Violet Qi from Chen Tian's Primordial Pearl repaired the Heavenly Dao and caused the first major recorded sublimation. The world gained vast new land, denser Innate Spiritual Qi, and safe Chaos Spiritual Qi. 40
The Earthly Dao later reappeared through Zhenyuanzi's vow and fusion with it, restoring mountains and rivers while greatly strengthening the world's material stability. 183 Houtu subsequently became Pingxin and Reincarnation; with the Human Dao joining the Heavenly and Earthly Daos, the three Daos stabilized the world amid a Chaos Qi invasion and elevated it into a Chaos Great World. 194
After the Primordial Three Daos absorbed the origin of a prior Great Dao World cycle, the world ascended again. Hongjun, Zhenyuanzi, and Pingxin reached the Dao Realm as the Three Great Dao Masters, while the Dao Master Palace was established as a center for comprehension of the Ten Great Dao Rules. 412
Cosmology and Governance
Primordial Three Daos
The world is sustained by three governing Daos, each corresponding to one of the Three Books:
| Dao | Domain | Associated location / representative |
|---|---|---|
| Heavenly Dao | The heavens | Purple Heaven Palace; Hongjun |
| Earthly Dao | The earth | Longevity Mountain; Zhenyuanzi |
| Human Dao | Living beings | Blood Sea / Pingxin Hall; Empress Pingxin |
The Three Daos exist to support and strengthen the Primordial World. Their incomplete manifestation was blamed for the world's earlier instability and its vulnerability during the Investiture of the Gods Calamity. 131
The Three Dao representatives jointly direct the world during external threats, including the invasion by the four Great Dao Worlds. 406 407
World Advancement
The Heavenly Dao can advance by two known methods:
- Absorbing other worlds and devouring their Heavenly Dao origins.
- Increasing the number and strength of powerful native beings. 41
The first method can leave conquered worlds as affiliated worlds rather than completely destroying them. Their inhabitants may attempt ascension by breaking the world barrier; failure results in death and the loss of their Dao. 50
Geography and Environment
- Buzhou Mountain — Originally the pillar supporting heaven and earth and identified as Pangu's backbone. It was so vast that even Grand Unity beings required thousands of years to cross it. 27
- Buzhou Mountain ruins — The mountain collapsed during the Witch-Demon Calamity, tilting heaven and earth and unleashing the Nine Heavens Weak Water across the land. 237
- Three Immortal Islands — Penglai, Yingzhou, and Fangzhang were granted to Chen Tian by the Heavenly Dao after its repair. 40
- Longevity Mountain — Residence of the Earthly Dao and the site of Zhenyuanzi's ascension as an Earthly Dao Saint. 131 183
- Blood Sea — Residence associated with Pingxin and the Human Dao. 194 195
- Eastern border — Designated arrival point for lower-realm ascenders, preventing them from immediately disrupting established local powers. Chen Tian built a massive city there for arrivals. 201 252
- Earth Immortal Realm — The land was divided into four continents after the Witch-Demon Calamity. It is filled with Innate Spiritual Qi, while most Chaos Spiritual Qi is concentrated above the Thirty-Three Heavens or gathered by great powers. 250 260
Major Calamities
Chen Tian identifies six major calamities in the world's history:
- Fierce Beast Calamity
- Dragon, Phoenix, and Kirin Calamity
- Dao and Demon Calamity
- Witch-Demon Calamity
- Investiture of the Gods Calamity
- Journey to the West Calamity 344
He further identifies the Age of Dharma's End as a seventh calamity, in which the world would decline until only mortals remained. Chen Tian concludes that these calamities were arranged by the Great Dao rather than by the Primordial Three Daos. 344
Affiliated Worlds
- Super Gene World — Its Heavenly Dao was devoured by the Primordial Heavenly Dao, making it an affiliated world. 136 139
- Investiture of the Gods World — After Evil Corpse Hongjun was devoured and its Heavenly Dao origin absorbed, it became an affiliated world. Its inhabitants must reach Saint level before entering the Primordial World. 166
- Other lower worlds — The chat group guides worlds toward the Primordial World, enabling their Heavenly Daos to be assimilated and their eventual affiliation. 139
Defense and External Conflicts
The Myriad Races World repeatedly sought to annihilate the Primordial World and devour its heaven-and-earth origin. Its forces included Heavenly Dao realm experts and armies of Saints. 287 291
After becoming a Chaos Great World, the Primordial World was exposed to greater attention from outer realms. Chen Tian warned that other Chaos Great Worlds could attack it after its promotion. 196
When four Great Dao Worlds mobilized against it, the Heavenly Court, Buddhism, the Three Pure Ones' forces, the Witch Clan, Demon Race, Underworld, Human Race, and other factions united in defense. 405 406 Hongjun, Zhenyuanzi, and Pingxin led the world's forces, while Tian Chen confronted Dao Realm enemies outside the world's boundary. 407
Following the battle, the invaders' origins were distributed among the defenders, beginning a new period of accelerated cultivation throughout the Primordial World. 410
Notable Inhabitants and Protectors
- Hongjun — Heavenly Dao spokesperson and later one of the Three Great Dao Masters. 406 412
- Zhenyuanzi — Earthly Dao spokesperson; became an Earthly Dao Saint after the Earthly Dao's reappearance. 183
- Empress Pingxin — Human Dao spokesperson, created through Houtu's transformation into Reincarnation. 194 406
- Chen Tian / Tian Chen — Son of the Great Dao whose actions repeatedly advance, defend, and reshape the world. 132 405
- Pangu — In a later creation account, he is restored by Chen Tian and entrusted as the world's guardian, forbidden from interfering in its internal affairs. 446 447
Later Development
After the Great Dao World ascension, the Primordial Three Daos opened the way for all beings to become Saints, allowing the world's Saint population to expand rapidly. 385
Chen Tian later sent billions of Dao Rule clones throughout the myriad heavens and worlds to spread the Primordial Dao Law, transforming foreign Heavenly Daos and preparing further growth for the Primordial World. 443
In a later account, Chen Tian personally creates and populates the Primordial World using materials taken from Pangu, then entrusts its continued development and protection to Pangu before departing to spread the Dao elsewhere. 447
