Brian didn't ask his question directly in the car. He had also noticed that Ms. Hepburn's assistant was intentionally or unintentionally keeping unpleasant or unpleasant things away from the lady.

In situations like this, it's best to ask questions. Without further evidence, you're just making that woman worry unnecessarily.

Brian believed that this intelligent young man knew his limits. He wouldn't hide anything from him when the time came.

This wasn't blind trust. Rather, it was the result of observing the young man's exceptionally thoughtful behavior and his ability to act and speak appropriately that gave Brian the confidence to wait for him to speak first.

So the head of the security team simply kept his eyes on the scenery outside the window. His main task was to watch out for any unusual convoys approaching them, and to communicate with the people in the cars behind him via walkie-talkie from time to time to ensure that everything was normal.

Henry then used his talkative nature to get Old Bernie to recount his experiences in the army.

Even if some missions are classified and cannot be discussed casually, a man who serves in the military will inevitably have certain experiences that will become topics of conversation for a lifetime.

Old Bernie wore the Green Berets longer than the other three, both during his training and in his experience training new recruits.

They all have countless interesting stories and anecdotes to tell.

Henry played the role of a clueless young man very well; nothing Old Bernie said surprised him.

Those jokes between men successfully made the big star in the car laugh heartily, and he kept asking questions.

With two people supporting him like this, Old Bernie spoke even more enthusiastically.

He even betrayed Mark and Sam, who weren't on the train, without hesitation, for the series of things they did when they enlisted.

The behavior of using a toothbrush to clean the toilet while on cleaning duty, and then using it to brush one's teeth at night, is considered a mild case.

In the middle of the night, during emergency assemblies, some people carried steel cups on their heads and helmets in their hands; others wore sportswear and carried chairs, while still others wore camouflage and carried washbasins – quite a few of these ridiculous sights.

Brian's lips twitched as he listened, wondering if he also had some "dirt" on him that Old Bernie had.

Time passed amidst laughter and the beautiful scenery of the Africa savanna, and the three cars finally arrived at their destination.

This child protection facility is the largest in the southwestern border region of Somalia and is the core of the settlement itself.

It can be said that the protective institutions were established first, and then crowds gathered around them. Therefore, the scale of the event was considerable.

However, in terms of settlement size, it was at most the size of a village. Standing at the entrance of the village, you could see from one end to the other at a glance. Moreover, the houses were scattered here and there, with no reasonable planning except for barely leaving a path.

This terrain presented Brian with a dilemma. It was neither easy to defend nor easy to ambush. The only advantage was that What If...? the enemy wanted to come in from the outside, the open field of vision made it easy to spot them in advance.

A line of three vehicles drove directly into the gate of the conservation facility. Calling it a gate was a stretch; it was more like a livestock fence commonly found on United States ranches during the pioneering era. It was basically just a wooden frame that could be opened and closed.

With a little effort, a car could easily ram through it without causing serious damage, meaning it wouldn't offer any real obstacle. This observation brought Brian some comfort.

After the car stopped, everyone got out, and a Legion of children lined up to welcome them. They clapped and sang a welcome song in English. But some of the younger children didn't know what they were doing there and looked around.

Beside the children were several burly Black women. They were both teachers and caregivers. The smiles on their faces were genuine.

Seeing the Legion of children, none of whom wore expressions of distress or wariness towards strangers, it was clear they were being well cared for. Audrey Hepburn, her heart pounding, exclaimed with emotion, "Henry, look, these children are so lovely!"

The white Hollywood star then got out of the car and accepted a simple bouquet made of wildflowers picked by the children. He then took the hand of a little Black girl and walked over to the other children.

Henry quickly grabbed his camera and started snapping photos from behind.

Brian noticed that the guide's vehicle was parked some distance away. Aside from the portly official who came to act as Ms. Hepburn's translator, the guide himself didn't come over. Instead, he met up with adult men who should have been members of the protection agency and were talking to them.

Although their actions didn't seem threatening, Brian remained cautious. He and Sam were responsible for unloading the supplies to be delivered to the child protection agency, while Old Bernie and Mark each guarded one of the vehicles.

Seeing things being moved over, the middle-aged teachers beamed with joy. Although Brian couldn't understand what they were saying, he could tell from their body language that they were directing the items to be moved.

The women didn't let the United Nations personnel move the supplies directly into the organization's warehouse. Instead, they laid them out under the shade of a large tree, and the items had to be counted, confirmed, and signed for before being put into storage.

After all, it was established with United Nations support, so some of the rules are quite strict.

It's a bit of a shame we couldn't explore the interior of the facility, but in this sweltering heat, being able to carry fewer steps doesn't seem so bad.

Even though everything seemed so peaceful, a sense of unease lingered in Brian's mind.

He noticed that in front of a makeshift stage in the small playground where Audrey Hepburn was being led by the children, a group of men, led by the burly guide, also moved to positions themselves where they could see the people.

When we visited other places before, these black guys would always find a place to hide once their shift was over.

Whatever they're doing, before they leave, they always have to go through the trouble of finding everyone. Sometimes, they can't even find all the people!

Fortunately, these were all locals. Once the United Nations delegation members arrived and informed the local officials, the delegation moved on. They didn't insist on gathering all the Black men they brought before leaving.

Are there any situations like today where people refuse to leave?

Yes, but those are usually local bullies who have been bribed beforehand to protect them. Their job is to maintain a presence within the visiting group. Sensible people won't bother these wealthy white men.

Henry was still taking pictures. But he was no longer limited to taking pictures around Hepburn; he was also taking some distant photos of the child protection facility and wandering around.

"Mr. Mills," Henry suddenly called out, and walked over. "Have you seen the bag where I kept the negatives?"

The person speaking was holding a camera, rewinding the film that had already been taken.
