George Stacy looked pleased and proactively shook his hand in greeting. "Welcome, Mr. Whistler. It's a pleasure to meet you.
"However, as far as I know, members of the Potomac Legion are to be assigned to military units across the country as special operations advisors. Have you come here because you need assistance with something?"
George Stacy had the new guest take a seat and instructed his secretary to bring coffee. Even Barbara Morse shamelessly sat back down, showing no intention of leaving.
Since they had already agreed on this beforehand, Henry merely made the introduction and did not emphasize his own role.
Abraham Whistler first placed the military officer credentials he had obtained on the table for inspection. "Being assigned to the military as a special advisor isn't mandatory.
"Since I've been active in New York recently and have achieved some results and gained some experience, I'd prefer to work with the NYPD to wipe out the Vampires and Werewolves in the Big Apple in one stroke. Then I can continue this mission elsewhere."
Having once served in the military, George Stacy could not directly determine whether military credentials were authentic, but spotting obvious mistakes would not be difficult for him.
After giving Whistler's credentials a quick glance, George Stacy found none of the glaring flaws that should not have been there and tacitly accepted them as genuine.
Besides, Whistler had been brought by Henry, whose caution in such matters exceeded his own. He should be trustworthy. George Stacy therefore asked bluntly, "What exactly are the experience and results Mr. Whistler mentioned?"
