Sleeping Beauty
The lone Green Arrow Duck, of course, wanted to find the entrance to the Umbrella Hive Base.
With the help of Kryptonian Super Vision, locating the underground base is easy. Then, following the underground base's passages, finding the surface entrance is not difficult. If all else fails, digging a path in yourself is also quite simple.
The reason this intelligence wasn't shared with the X-Men or Spider-Man is because the Hive Base isn't exactly a desirable place.
Whether it's the movie version or the video game version, danger is unavoidable.
If I were a powerless transmigrator with only prior knowledge as an advantage, I would inevitably find some cannon fodder to pave the way while I secretly reaped some benefits. But a Kryptonian in technological armor—it's better to just go down directly. No matter who I bring, they'll just be a burden.
The only troubling thing is that Raccoon City is definitely Hive! The Hive isn't the only underground base. Green Arrow Duck has seen five or six underground structures of varying sizes. And there are even more places where Umbrella's logo is openly displayed.
Perhaps the largest one is the Hive Base, but there are also bio-labs in other places. Are all of these under Umbrella's Umbrella? Or are other organizations getting involved?
This world is truly insane.
The Green Arrow Duck turned and flew towards the nearest Umbrella Corporation. After getting close enough, it landed and moved forward silently using its Micro-hover System.
These are all labs under the umbrella of Umbrella; it all depends on whether their computers are connected to the internal network and sharing data. What If...? we're lucky enough to find information about the T-virus and vaccines, then this mission is accomplished, and we can head back.
If we can develop the vaccine as soon as possible, resolve the Raccoon City crisis, and then release it to the world, this matter should be considered settled.
Even if the Zombies and viruses in the Hive Base re-emerge, as long as all of humanity has a vaccine, a major outbreak of the T-virus can be prevented.
The Hive Base was a dilapidated place. Although I wasn't afraid of encountering danger if I went in, it wasn't a tourist attraction that I absolutely had to visit. I'd rather avoid trouble if I could.
The first place we arrived at was Raccoon City General Hospital, with a bronze Umbrella symbol above the main entrance sign. The above-ground buildings were laid out in a conventional hospital layout, but the underground facilities were all of nuclear, biological, and chemical protection level, with a very high level of technology.
However, the staff had clearly evacuated, leaving only a woman lying on a hospital bed in a room in the basement. She was connected to some tubes and sensor wires and was still unconscious.
There was no rush to wake the other person. Green Arrow Duck first located the computer in the hospital's underground laboratory and determined that he didn't need to hack into it, since the computer's hard drive had either been damaged or removed.
The remaining computer hardware was quite advanced, but without data, it was of no value to him.
Should we go and wake Sleeping Beauty?
Considering the Zombies outbreak outside, although there are currently no other people or humanoid objects inside this building, it's uncertain whether any lucky individuals might slip through the strange openings and find themselves with a feast.
Entering a room that resembled an operating room or autopsy lab more than a medical ward, Green Arrow Duck looked at Sleeping Beauty under the surgical lights. She didn't seem like someone receiving medical care; she looked more like some kind of experimental subject.
The vital signs monitoring equipment next to it has very detailed monitoring and recording, even showing the patient's body outline. I really don't know what the guys who made this were thinking.
But before criticizing others, Green Arrow Duck only had one thought, "I hope I didn't win the grand prize!"
Analyzing the IV infusion items on the screen, I saw a variety of powerful drugs that would keep me drowsy, including sedatives and muscle relaxants.
Basically, as long as the IV drip continues, the person will remain asleep and won't wake up. As soon as the IV drip stops, the person will wake up from their slumber in a short time.
Since it's not an IV bag, but rather a machine that continuously injects fluid, it's fair to say that whether Sleeping Beauty can wake up without Green Arrow Duck's interference depends on the will of the person monitoring her.
Since he intended to wake Sleeping Beauty, Green Arrow Duck pulled out the IV needle, stopping the infusion process. He then carefully removed the other probes that were inserted deep into her body, especially her brain.
Removing these needles randomly, while unlikely to turn someone into an idiot, will probably cause considerable pain. If Green Arrow Duck is careful, Sleeping Beauty won't suffer.
Once all the probes were removed, under the monitoring of the Green Arrow Duck, Sleeping Beauty's vital signs began to recover. In particular, her intense eye movements indicated that she was preparing to wake up.
After thinking about it, I decided that the Green Arrow Duck should stand a certain distance away from the hospital bed, rather than standing directly next to it, so as not to frighten the person.
While waiting, Green Arrow Duck noticed that the surveillance camera in the laboratory had moved and was now pointing at him, far away from the hospital bed.
Does this mean someone is behind the surveillance cameras and still controlling the situation here?
I intended to follow the surveillance camera's path to find the location of the person behind me, but the Sleeping Beauty lying on the hospital bed showed signs of waking up.
This premature reaction is clearly not in the interests of those behind it. Therefore, the remotely controlled instruments here keep moving, seemingly trying to prevent Sleeping Beauty from waking up.
Unfortunately, Green Arrow Duck has already removed all the wires, so the person behind the scenes obviously can't control Sleeping Beauty's condition.
The person who woke up seemed to be startled awake, jumping up from the hospital bed. If the wires were still attached, this tug would probably have caused them to curse in pain.
Although the wires had been removed first, the pain still lingered in Sleeping Beauty's body. She struggled for a while, gradually adjusting to her physical condition, before finally beginning to assess her surroundings.
This is an empty laboratory or ward. The only strange thing is that there is a large Duck Plushie in the room.
Sleeping Beauty wasn't frightened by the Green Arrow Duck; instead, she muttered to herself, "Is this some kind of Shocker Park movie scene?"
"No, although it's not Shocker Park, the situation might be worse."
"You can talk." Sleeping Beauty's attitude was even calmer than Green Arrow Duck had imagined.
"Do you remember your name, ma'am? Or do you remember anything at all?"
"Who... who am I?" After groaning in anguish, clutching her head, Sleeping Beauty finally uttered, "Alice, my name is Alice Abernathy."
"Very good." Green Arrow Duck raised his hand and fired a shot, destroying the surveillance camera monitoring the laboratory with the Railgun at his fingertips.
But one shot wasn't the end. Green Arrow Duck fired at different locations, damaging hidden cameras and Mike that only had a recording function. Regardless of whether these devices worked or not, Green Arrow Duck destroyed them all.
Alice was startled by the first gunshot, but she calmly watched Green Arrow Duck carry out the rest of the shots.
